I haven't had to use Best Buy Protection yet, and I've been paying for it for years, but given that Best Buy seems to be moving away from a service model and into... well, i'm not sure what they're looking to do other than try to put themselves out of business, I'm expecting it's either not there when I need it, or having to fight with Best Buy about it when it comes time.

It is well worth the money to have since I am not really computer savvy.

This desktop should be more capable than many people need. It has the components above average that will serve your computing demands, unless you are competing with NASA. Since you have made the choice to obtain it through Best Buy, this is important. Any issues that may concern you, will be addressed by their highly educated and proficient repair professionals, and beyond that, their Geek Squad is always standing ready to make adjustments, solve problems, even from miles away by remote activity. A few times, Geek Squad was summoned by me, but simple adjustments were easily done to address the issues, and put the matter to rest in no time.

The warranty program saved us on this purchase! The service to with the Geek Squad was absolutely AMAZING! He was beyond helpful and completely saved my sanity on this. The computer we bought never worked, brand new and got a dead computer. I was very upset that i had just spent the money for a brand new computer only to have it not work. The warranty program best buy offered however got us a new computer . The upside off the situation is that the guy helping us was phenomenal and went above and beyond to help us get things figured out and fixed.
