Its important to remember the distinction between my best buy protection and Geek Squad Protection. For MyBBY, you have a deductible, kind of like a car insurance claim. Just thought others should be aware.

My recent purchase of the Pioneer Elite VSX-LX305 9.2 Channel Network AV Receiver, listed as “Open-Box Excellent” condition, turned out to be a letdown. Despite the high expectations set by the condition rating, the package crucially lacked the remote control. This omission rendered me unable to set up or experience any of the receiver’s features, effectively making the unit unusable right out of the box. The absence of the remote was a significant oversight, especially given the “Excellent” condition promise, which one would assume includes all essential accessories for the product to function as intended. Due to this issue, I am compelled to return the receiver. It’s a shame because I was genuinely excited about integrating this high-quality piece of equipment into my home theater system. This experience has highlighted the importance of thorough checks on open-box items to ensure they meet customer expectations fully. Unfortunately, this was not the case for me, leading to a disappointing and inconvenient situation.

Awesome sound quality but leaks sound at a certain level

Good woofer sound. Good Bose Sync. Relatively good value.

What’s not to like about extending your warranty out longer to cover you

Provides good service and protection for the products I buy.

Unit is good but not as much bass as I was expecting. Now had it for 6 months and it is starting to make some bubbling sound. Need Geek Squad to take a look at it. Net-net is not worth the money.

Best Buy will take care of you with this protection plan.

After I installed the Asus ZenWifi ET12 everything worked well for about a week. I had full speeds everywhere in my home. I set up the node with a hardwired back haul via an ethernet cable to the main router by using the 2.5 ghz ports on the units. I even had signal on the 2.4 ghz band outside far from my home. About a week after I had it I noticed that the node was blinking red and was disconnected. I called Asus tech support and after some troubleshooting he determined that it was a hardware issue. Since I had only had it about a week I decided to just return it. For the short amount of time that I had it it worked great. Unfortunately it didn't work out for me.

It is good to get the protection plan just in case.

Charging a monthly charge to pay for visit and not guaranteed project longevity!

It works well but it doesn't make a squeaking noise now when I use it. It's not that loud but I do notice it whenever I use it.

I have been an Elite member for years and when Total Tech came out I signed uo for the too tier and it was great in the beginning but every year they keep cutting back. I just bought a 75” Tv and was told I could only have 2 services and they are $49 each on top of paying annually. Not sure its worth it anymore.
