The prior product that I used worked great. This Mophie Juice Pack beeps constantly while it is charging up my iPhone 5S. I will probably ditch it and consider the $$ I spent on it as a loss since I'm sure the store won't take it back after 30 days. UGH.

I liked it but realized it was overheating when I charged it. I had to send it back to mophie. I got a 'new' or returned one - haven't tried it out. I had a mophie for my 4S and I loved it. Nor sure about this one for my new 5S.

I had heard the mophie case talked up so much I decided to get it but it was not as good as I expected. It made my phone got and the charge on the case itself didn't lSt long enough to do much.

Reserve power is minimal even after an overnight charge. A mere shadow of the previous version. Would not purchase again

This Mophie is over-priced. Stopped charging after one month (have to return it to BestBuy). Doesn't charge as good as Mophie for iPhone 4. Gets REALLY hot when used. Overall not very good quality on this one. Also, very short cord for charging. Normally I would recommend a Mophie, but have been disappointed with this one.

Sometimes cable has a shortage and phone and juice pack will not charge.

Disappointed with the products construction. Case would come apart easily when removing the charging wire.

I like this item because it is helpful while I am out and need a charge and dont have my charger with me

The gadget has Good power storage but low capacity. Runs out of power to quick.

I did not like this at all. You can't even use the same iPhone cable to charge, you have to get a separate microUSB cable for it. If I wanted to use that, I'd get an Android phone.

Scratches easy. Don't like having to use earphone adapter. Cord too easy to loose.

Purchased after my off-brand one went bad. Was happy with the overall look, but dissatisfied with its charging output.

Is cool to have always a backup battery but the connect and charge is poor

I don't suggest buying this product without understanding that it is extremely fragile. Came completely apart the first day. I'm going through a whirlwind with mophie corporate to get a replacement. Don't buy!

Dropped my phone multiple times with an otter box. Zero issues. Drop it once with this case and I have a shattered screen. Piece of junk

I bought this case because it is the first battery case for the iPhone 5 that is available (from a reputable maker at least). The case is beautiful, as far as battery cases go, and actually doesn't weight that much. The iPhone 5 in this case weighs roughly the same as the iPhone 5 in the Otterbox defender (183g versus 179g), but looks a lot slimmer than the Otterbox. I've been using this case for about 5 days now, and so I am pleased with the overall performance. It does increase the juice by about 80%. It's also nice that the adapter was changed over to the micro-USB. This makes charging much easier. I really like the Lightning port, but my house gadgets are mostly micro-USB based, so this makes it much more convenient. What I DON'T like about the case: - there is no pass-through syncing. If you are using the case, you have to sync with iTunes wirelessly. This is a terrible idea. Other cases that are coming up (Lenmar and uNu) can pass through sync, meaning you can connect through the micro-USB/USB cable to sync with iTunes. - the case battery is only 1500 mAh. I'm sure Mophie does this for the slim factor. However, they are coming about with the 1700 mAh Air battery case in a couple of weeks. I doubt the 1700mAh will be all that much thicker. So, it just seems like a scheme for people desperate for a battery case to rush out to get the Helium, only to have to consider getting yet another case a few weeks later.

While the battery does what its supposed to do, it doesn't do it as well it could have for the $79.99 price tag. Pros: 1. Well built. 2. Looks good. 3. Reserve capacity LEDs provide feedback on available charge. Cons: 1. 80% extra power implies that when I switch it on at iPhone 5 20% the phone should get to 100%. I've never been seen it go beyond ~70%. 2. Cannot use any other ear-phones/ head-phones apart from the stock iPhone ear-buds. Even then the base disappears into the case, so you will have to tug on the wire - so much for ear bud life. 3. Cannot sync using the provided micro usb cable. Have to get phone out of case for sync. The work-around is to use wire-less sync which is not one of my preferred options. So I have to remember to carry around two cables - micro usb & lightening. 4. Substantially increases phone bulk. 5. Phone & case heat heat up during re-charge making a rather warm pocket As the cons far out weigh the functionality I would rather carry a battery pack for re-charging my phone on the go. Will try the Air when it does come out. Meanwhile taking this back to BestBuy.
