You Can’t Go Wrong With This Backup Battery!

The Mophie - Powerstation Wireless Slim 15W Qi2-certified Power Bank 5,000mAh internal battery is a great buy. In one sentence, that is the review. However, let me elaborate and explain why I believe it is a good buy, in no particular order. The battery is SLIM. I like to carry minimal things in my purse because I do not like to carry a heavy bag. It is small enough that it does not take up much space in my limited space purse. It is slim enough that you can put the battery on the phone and let the phone charge while the phone and battery are tucked away in your bag or something. Most modern phones nowadays have wireless charging, so the battery can be used by many phone types. One day my brother used it on his iPhone, like I also have. His phone case is not MagSafe, but his phone is. All he had to do was take off the case and it charged just fine. Same thing happened with my sister. If you do not have wireless charging, you can also plug in a charging cable to use it. You can push a button to see how much charge the battery has left, and it has four bars/lights when it is fully charged. Just in case you need a cable, it does come with a short usb-c cable so that you can charge it.Regarding the MagSafe capabilities- and for reference I have the iPhone 17 Pro Max- it stays attached to my phone when I am holding it vertically. I have given it a very rigorous shake and it does not budge. It cannot charge my AirPods Pro 3s when they are in their case wirelessly, but it will charge via usb cable like anything else. It does get warm when in use for a while. It never felt extremely hot or uncomfortably safe, but it was noticeably warm after I had it on my phone for a while. Just something to be mindful of. I have never used it to fully charge my phone yet, so I cannot say if it can fully charge more than one phone before you need to recharge the Mophie battery. I think since it is only 5,000 mAh it might be good for just one cycle. I would say keep this on your person so you are never in a bind and just be sure to charge it once you are in for the night and it will be ready for the next time you need it.

I have quite a large collection of battery packs. I always feel you can never have too many of these around in case of a power outage. They are also great to take on vacations with you when you need a little extra power on the go. Out of the box, there isn’t much to it, it’s just a small thin rectangle and a short USBC cable. It’s probably slightly larger than a business card and about ¼” thick. Under the hood there is a 5,000mAh internal battery which will roughly give you a full battery charge for your standard cell phone. There is a small button on the bottom of the device that you can press to let you know how much battery is left. There is a series of 4 lights to let you know how much juice is left. Oddly, when you are charging the battery pack, those lights aren’t on to let you know your charge level while charging. There is also a USBC port on the pack as well. So this can be used as just a regular USB charger for other devices like an action camera or tablet or something like that. That USBC port is also used for charging the battery in the device. This battery pack is Qi2-certified and MagSafe compatible. This means if you have a magsafe device, this will just click to the back of it and you will get a good quick charge for your device. This can also be used as just a regular wireless charger as well. I used it to charge my Galaxy S24 Ultra which doesn’t have Qi charging, and it worked great. You just have to make sure the phone is set on the charger so its lined up with your wireless charger in the phone. This battery pack also has a nice rubberized texture for the part that will connect to your phone so you don’t have to worry about your device getting scratched or marred in any way. Overall, this is a great little battery pack to take with you on the go to give your phone a quick fill up wherever you may need it!

I have a 15 year old who both manages to drain the battery on their iPhone 15 on the regular while also managing to habitually never remember to charge it. Many a time have been the sad song sung to me of "Hey Dad, my phone's dead. Can I have your charger?" So I opted to remedy this with a MagSafe battery pack that would allow them to simply slap it on to keep their phone charged. We also recently tested this out on a road trip to Texas and although the problematic behavior of forgetting to charge the phone remains, this battery pack added much appreciated life to their device. Out of the box, it's pretty straightforward, you get the battery pack and a charging cable. As with most devices nowadays, there is no charging brick, so you'll need to figure that out for yourself. I have a reliable and robust charging station set up, so I charged this thing up in no time using the same power cord that charges my iPad Pro. Here's what I appreciate about the simplicity of the design: it just works. So long as you have either a bare phone, or a case that supports MagSafe accessories, you're good to go! The only hang up my kid had was the new wallet case they wanted for their iPhone doesn't work with any MagSafe accessories, but take it out of the wallet case and bam - instant juice. Something else I appreciated, as someone who grew up with land line phones in the kitchen, is the heft that this adds to the phone. Not sure why, but I appreciate that the phone felt more sturdy in my hand with this pack. The weight doesn't seem to matter to my kid, so long as the phone has power. If you're always on the go, away from a reliable charging source, or have a 15 year old who for the life of them, can't remember to charge their device, then I really recommend picking this up.

    Works great, but runs HOT

There are so many great things about this battery pack, but they are all diminished to me by the fact that it runs hot. So very hot. So hot that I have been unable to have my phone in my pocket while it's charging from the battery. Both the battery pack itself and my phone reach heat levels too high to touch without significant discomfort. That said, if your intent is to use this as a charging solution while your phone sits on the desk or table, this will do the job and do it well. The magnets are very strong, and you can have full confidence that the battery won't slip off or be misaligned and not charge. The battery itself charges up very fast, and there's even a little meter on the side of the battery pack that will show you the charge level at a glance. When connected to my iPhone Air, it was able to charge my phone from 50% to 80% in less than 30 minutes. Another to this battery pack is its weight. Since I use an iPhone Air, the battery more than doubles the weight of my phone, which is not ideal. That weight, combined with the significant overheating, means I'm likely to stick to standard USB-C battery packs in the future and move on from this magnetic one.

In giving this a run specifically for travel and busy days, it has surprised me in a few ways. It isn’t perfect, but it is definitely one of the better portable chargers I have used. The Mophie is very thin and sleek easily fitting in my pocket right alongside my phone without feeling like a brick. The magnet is also surprisingly strong. Once it snaps onto the back of the phone, it's good to know it didn't fall off. The performance: Good, But Could Be Faster. Because it is Qi2-certified, it delivers a nice 15W charge, which is noticeably better than older wireless packs. It definitely charges quickly enough to save you in a pinch. However, if I’m being picky, I do wish it was just a little bit faster. If you are at 10% and need to get to 80% in a hurry, it takes a moment, but for keeping your battery topped up while you’re walking around, it works great. One thing I was worried about was overheating which I have experiencedwith previous chargers I have used, as wireless chargers tend to overheat and that transfers over to the phone itself. I’m happy to report that while this unit does get warm, it never gets hot to the touch. It feels safe to hold. Also, for a 5,000mAh battery, it seems to be very efficient. It holds a charge better than I expected—I can leave it out for about a week, pull it out, and it still has plenty of juice left to give my phone a full boost. Given the not as quick of a charge as I would have liked, I will give this 4 stars. It is however a solid device and I still would recommend.

    A super-portable, efficient power bank

The Morphie Powerstation Wireless Slim lives up to its name, as it barely sticks out past the camera lenses on my phone. Its lightweight design and narrow profile make it ideal for carrying in a pocket. I have been using it when I am using my phone for video calls (which drains the battery), when I’m in an area with spotty cell coverage (which drains the battery), or if I just need a quick top-off before heading out. The Slim carries enough of a charge to replenish my iPhone 15 completely (when using a USB-C cable), or to about 905 when using Qi-2 / Magsafe mode (because of the inherent loss of efficiency in wireless charging). The magnet is strong enough to stay securely attached the phone. I’ve also used it to top off the power in my Qi-enabled earbuds. Other reviewers have notes that their device can get hot, but note that this is a side effect of wireless charging (the above mentioned efficiency loss), and what I’ve seen is on par with other Magsafe charging options. Morphie is known for their reliable products, and the build quality of this power bank is solid. I’ve experienced no issues in the month that I’ve been using it, and am quite happy with this charger. I would not hesitate to recommend this product as a reliable, well-built, portable power station.

    Slim and Sleek Charge

The mophie PowerStation Wireless Slim performs as advertised. The power bank is 5000mAh battery, which charges through USB-C connection. The power bank charges using 15W magnetic charging. The magnetic charging works well through direct contact to iPhone along with through a magsafe case (Otterbox in my trial of this unit). Charging while an iPhone is locked appears tot be about 20% every 30-minutes on average. Using about 25% of battery per 30-minutes of charging. I was able to take iPhone 17 pro from 30% to full charge with some battery life remaining. This has been consistent over a few uses at this point. When attached while in use (with pokemon go) the power bank is able to maintain charge with moderate use, which is what I've come to expect with most smaller mobile charging options. Device does get hot/moves slower with active use while charging but this is once again expected. The device is Slim as advertised - the trade off being 5000mAh. The face which attaches to device has a material that is somewhat padded, different than the normal outer shell - this is a nice feature but annoying to myself as it somewhat attracts lint/cat hair. Overall, the PowerStation Wireless Slim is as advertised with the size and weight expected of 5000mAh battery in a slim profile, charging capabilities expected of a 15W magnetic charging power bank and provides about 1 full charge as advertised. Overall, no specific concerns with this power device outside of the slight lint accumulation.

Now that i have the iPhone Air I’ve been looking for more of a slim line battery that isn’t the overpriced OEM accessory. Having plenty of experience with Mophie’s products, I was happy to give this one a try. Right out of the box i was impressed with how sleek it is compared to many that I’ve bought in the past. It had a partial charge out of the box so i plugged it in immediately and it was ready to go in no time. The MagSafe connection keeps the battery on pretty snug even with a case on the phone, which is something i usually have problems with knocking off when carrying a battery pack - specially stuffing into my pockets. The charge provided was more than sufficient to keep my Air humming along on a flight today. The one thing I’ve noticed in using it the past week is it gets pretty warm, frequently triggering the charging pause on the phone until the temperature drops. I’m thinking thinner pack means less room for heat to dissipate, and it would quickly start charging again once i put the phone down and stopped using it. That may be a deterrent for some people, including me, so i took my rating down one star.

Great Slim Battery Pack For Travel

I travel a lot for work on short trips and I'm usually trying to stick to a large backpack or duffel so I don't have to check a bag at the airport. That means space and weight matter, which this battery pack nails. It holds a full iPhone charge so you can recharge your phone on the go without a plug or wireless charging station. While a lot of airlines include power in their seats now, it's not a guarantee that it will work. Having a battery pack eliminates that worry. As I said before, the compact size and weight of this battery are the seller for me. There's 4 LED lights on one of the sides to tell you what level of charge it's at, next to the USB-C port for charging. Note that USB-C is the only option, which shouldn't be an issue for most as that has become the standard. It is Magsafe compatible and works with both iPhones and Android phones. My only complaint is that this thing gets hot when it's in use. Just something to be aware of if you plan to use your phone during recharge. Overall, it's a great solution for a battery top off when you're on the go. I would recommend it.

Overall I feel this powerbank is pretty good for its price point and both internal and external qualities. It recharges up itself pretty quickly, and also charges my smartphone quickly as well--enough for one full charge as it so claims. The magnet for wireless charging is strong--it attaches itself firmly to the back of my iPhone, with no sliding or wiggling whatsoever. It is indeed slim and light, so when I carry it around daily in my purse it does not add substantial weight. Of the handful of wireless power banks I have, this is the only one that can also charge devices using a USB-C wired connection, which can come in handy when wanting to charge devices which have no wireless charging capabilities. There are LED indicator lights which indicate the level of power when it is charging a device or when it is being recharged itself. The only issue I have with it, which is why I am docking it one star to give it 4/5 stars, is that it gets very hot when it is charging up my iPhone, almost to the point that it is uncomfortable to pick up or handle.

The Mophie Powerstation Slim 15W battery is a great portable wireless battery charger. It features a 15W magnetic wireless charger as well as a 20W USB-C port. The USB-C port is also used for charging the device itself. The charger features a 5000mAh battery, which provides enough power for about a full charge on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. The magnet works really well. It is a very strong magnet and stays in place pretty well. The phone begins charging almost immediately when placed on the charger. It charges pretty fast too, thanks to the 15W charger. I was able to get about 50% charge in only 30 minutes. And if you need even faster charge, just plug into the USB-C port to take advantage of that 20W charging. The charger also features 4 LEDs on the bottom to indicate how much charge is left. There is also a button next to the LEDs to check charge status or turn the charger on/off. Overall I am very satisfied with this charger/battery. It feels really well-made, has enough capacity for a full phone charge, features quick charging performance, and is small enough to throw in a pocket or purse. I would highly recommend.

I've had other wireless backup battery packs, but none as convenient as this one. It's perfectly sized to fit on the back of an iPhone Pro and works seamlessly with the magnetic mount. The side that fits against the phone has a slightly rubberized texture so it won't slide around. The other sides are metallic, but slightly textured to prevent it from being slippery. A small button on the bottom (when it's attached to the phone) along with four LEDs will display the level of charge. There's nothing to do to turn it on or off, just let it snap onto the phone magnetically, and it automatically starts charging. When it needs charging, just plug it into any USB C charger. There's a small gap between the camera lens bump and where the charger sits, which should provide compatibility with most cases. Mine worked perfectly with the case I use. It adds some thickness and weight to the phone when attached, but not enough to make it unwieldy. It still slides easily enough into a front or back pocket, and the rounded edges on the pack keep it from snagging on the way in or out. Definitely the best option I've found for extra power on the go.

Here is my review for the Mophie Powerstation Wireless Slim 15W Powerbank Battery Pack.: The whole battery pack feels very premium, it’s got a nice weight to it, but not heavy. It charges my phone as fast as any wireless charger I’ve ever used. The battery pack itself is about the exact thickness as my iPhone 15, one of the nice things about it, on top of everything else, is that it attaches to the back of my phone with a very strong magnet, I don’t have to worry about the battery pack falling off that easily. A USB-C cable comes included in the box to charge your battery pack, overall for its features and the price I say it’s very well worth it and I’m very happy with it. At 5000mAh, it should charge your phone from 0 to 100%. As an example, my iPhone 15 has a battery capacity of 3,349mAh. Newer and bigger phones have a bigger battery capacity, but either way this should provide a hefty charge when you need it. At the bottom of the battery pack, it has a little button that when you press it, it will turn on some lights to let you know how much charge you have left.

I tend to charge my phone often whenever I'm out and about and I usually carry around a battery pack to charge my phone. Ever since switching to the iPhone, I was always curious and ready to try out the Magsafe feature of it. This hasn't disappoint me at all. I even tried a different one prior to this and that one tends to overheat a bit but this one is different. First of all, it looks absolutely premium. The steel feel and finish feels very robust and protected. The magsafe is pretty strong too so I don't worry about this falling off or anything. It does scratch a bit. It's like your usual stainless steel type scratching but it feels heavy duty so I wouldn't worry too much about that. The lowprofile look is super clean. The charging capacity is pretty accurate. I find that I can charge my phone from low 20% to 80% in a regular amount of time. Nothing too fast, but the battery pack can easily handle that and there's usually some leftover too. You can technically use it to charge other devices too with the USB-C in case you're in a pinch and you have to use it.
