Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the impressive graphics and smooth gameplay of Mortal Kombat 11. Positive feedback also highlights the game's characters and, for some, its price point. However, some users point out the large download size and storage space requirements as drawbacks. Concerns regarding lag and the need for an internet connection were also raised by a few players.

4.5 out of 5 for me

OK, so, MK11 on Nintendo Switch...I've played it (physical copy) for about 2hrs now. The gameplay is pretty solid. I'm playing it with a Nintendo Pro Controller. The frame rate is fast and consistant (both docked and undocked). The sound is great. And graphics...awe, the question all want answered. So far I have mostly played it docked on my 55 inch 4K. Visually this game has some really good graphics. But, I have to say that SOME levels/stages do not look nearly as good as others. Not saying they look bad. But if you really look at them. They are clearly not as easy on the eyes as some of the other stages/levels. The character models for the most part are really good! But, the hair (and facial hair) isn't the best. You really will only notice this in up close moments. I'm not a person that is all about graphics. And I could have bought this for my Xbox. However, I wanted it for Switch more. Despite knowing the graphics would be a little watered down...I didn't care. And realistically I was kinda like wow in my head, about a few of the stages and the hair up close. They seemed more watered down than expected. However..the graphics are overall really good. And those stahes and hair you quickly get used to. And the rest of the games visuals make up for it. MK11 is like a 4.5 out of 5 for me. I'm highly recommending this version for any Switch owner. And even anyone who has multiple systems. But loves gaming on their TV & on the go!

We LOVED LOVED LOVED playing the game. The problem was the amount of storage needed to play. We had to delete a lot of other things just for the download to begin only for it to download and tell us we still needed space for to actually open and be played. So we had to by a SD card just to be able to play it. But once we were able to play it. We love it

Upon booting up the game you're greeted with something that FEELS very nostalgic, its Mortal Kombat. The game runs surprisingly well on Switch, despite its graphic intensity. If you can manage to get this game for under $25, I reccomend purchasing it as it is fun for a long time!

I know that there are some caveats to this game being heavily online, so the koins and kostumes and stuff may be hard to get if you are traveling, but still, playing MK with someone on a plane? Sweeeeet. The game plays really well with my pro controller, obviously doesn't look as good as an Xbox or PS4 but it looks fine to me!

Great game! Finally there’s a mortal kombat game again on a Nintendo console! I enjoyed every minute of playing this game. Good graphics and runs smoothly without any slowdowns. Hey it’s mortal kombat and you can play it wherever you go! PlayStation or Xbox can’t do that! Buy it and have endless playtime :-)

First off people cry about resolution, I have played this on ps4 and it looks a little better, that does me no good at my daughters doctor appointments, or at work, or when the tv is being used by family. If your worried about graphics then buy an xbox one x the worlds most powerful system, or pc the only machines in the world that run 4k, not even the ps4 pro hits 4k not one game. I play MK11 offline like 1 on1 or story then when online it uploads my progress i still get rewards. Towers u can play offline but get no rewards. people at work that have ps4 say this looks and plays great on switch, I got mine in the middle of july mabey they had updates between release and when I bought. I play 50/50 tv handheld. I was expecting a knock off game from other reviews. I was blown away. if u only play on tv u will get a little better graphics on base xbox one, ps4 more on ps4 pro, and most on xbox one x like all games look and play best on xbox one x.

MK 11 is an awesome fighting game especially portably on the switch. Everything looks surprisingly great except for the Krypt (hope they can patch that out in a future update). All the content from the PS4 version is there and you can play it anywhere you want! Sign up for this version with confidence!

This game, despite is draw backs, is a blast to play on Switch. Like most of my reviews with 3rd party games on Switch, I like the portability aspect of it. I understand the Switch’s limitations “graphics” wise, but it doesn’t mean nothing isn’t possible on the platform.

Let's get this out of the way first make no mistake if you have the ability to play MK 11 on Xbox One or PS4 by all means buy them on there first. Having already owned the game in Xbox One X I decided to pick up the switch port to play on the go and in bed because it's one of my favorite games of the year. The Switch port looks pretty decent but clearly there has been a lot of scaled back effects and detail that were required to make this port run as smoothly as it does. The most noticable downgrades are seen in the Krypt which looks more akin to a ps2 title. However in the mist of Kombat when fighting the game looks pretty decent and more importantly retains the 60fps gameplay. As a portable fighting game it's quite impressive they got it running this good. I'm enjoying the switch version of MK 11 and it gets my Recommendation!

I mainly bought this game to play with my family. But it also has a great single player experience. This game is out on PS4, Xbox One, and the Switch. The Switch version is the lowest quality version. The Switch version still plays well but the graphics are dumbed down making the blood look cartoonish. The frame rate is smooth just not as good as the PS4 or Xbox One versions. If you only have a Nintendo Switch it's an exceptable version considering that it is portable compared to the home console only versions. It is a fun game for one or more people to play.

The revamped graphics and colrs are just amazing! I've been playing Mortal Kombat since it first came out in the 90's and I am just blown away! The characters, both new and old are tons of fun to play, and the fight sequences are awesome.

MK11 is an awesome game regardless of what platform you play it on. However, being able to take it on the go without sacrificing any core aspect of the game is amazing! It runs very well on the Switch and I'm definitely impressed.

Had the Xbox version and saw this game with all the great graphics. Sadly the switch version isn’t as good but on the switch lite you can play this game on the run. It’s still a fun game and probably one of the best fighter games around right now.

This is an amazing port for the switch. The game play is solid, while it does have few moments of slowing. It does have a graphical downgrade in comparison to other systems but still a ton of fun to play.

I pre-ordered this game and because I did, I was able to download Shao khan for free. I have been playing MK11 often and glad I purchased it. Great game to the MK collection. The graphics are amazing. The characters look almost real. Very happy with my purchase.

I think it's amazing that this game can run on the Switch at all. The gameplay is absolutely fantastic and the framerate is always 60 FPS. However, while the fights themselves look amazing, the cutscenes are absolutely terrible in this version. They look like the PS4 graphics, but they're SO pixelated on a TV and I've noticed a lot of brief moments when the audio and cutscenes stopped for maybe half a second before resuming. It really takes you out of the game. The cutscenes from Mortal Kombat 9 on Xbox 360 actually look better than 11 on Switch, which is a little disappointing. But you don't play games for cutscenes, you play them for gameplay and the gameplay here is just as good as on any other platform. And you can take it anywhere. And there are a lot of microtransactions, which I'm not a fan of.

This is the first Mortal Kombat I have had in several years. There are a lot more moves then I can remember. Bad part is having such a large download when you first play it.

My husband bought this to play with our son.....While the graphics and game play are great, be warned that it is very gory. Lots of extreme violence so not for younger children!! Still a great game.
