I've put about 15 hours into this installation of MK. It feels like the older versions I use to play as a kid. There's a mix of old and new characters which is nice. The story is short but that doesn't take away from anything. Each character has three different styles with different moves for each set. I'm really liking it so far.

This game has great gameplay. If flows more organically than Mortal Kombat IX. The storymode is the best of the series, however, I was very disappointed with the length of the game overall. There's twelve chapters that roughly stretch across a span of six hours or so. The storymode's length is the one of only two draw backs. The quality of the campaign is amazing. It's highly narrative and cinematic, and, again, it's the best in the series. The added use of quick time events was a smart move, as they really draw you in during those action sequences. If you were looking for a game that has great graphical prowess, however, this is not it. While the upgrade from last gen is apparent, it isn't as noticeable as I would have hoped. I would have expected it to look better, especially considering what some developers call pull out of these new systems. But I assure you, because of the polish overall, you'll hardly notice. In conclusion, this is a must for Mortal Kombat fans, and fans of the fighting genre of gaming. With better storytelling and mechanics, you'll enjoy it a great deal. Just don't expect its graphics to knock you off your feet.

Great fighting game, beautiful graphics, and very fast and fluid action. Online multiplayer is a blast! Mortal Kombat is currently the best fighting game around until Street Fighter 5 releases exclusively for PS4!!!

The game is everything it's supposed to be. Excessive violence, both classic and new characters, and a variety of game modes and fighting styles. If anyone says it's too violent, they are idiots. It's Mortal Kombat. It's rated mature and has always been excessively violent. That's like buying an adult film and complaining there's too much nudity. If you like fighting games, this is a must buy. If you want to try a fighting game but it's not normally your thing, this is still a great choice. Just know that you aren't going to be an expert in two hours. Do the tutorial for fighting and practice up on those combos. Don't just give the game a bad review because you suck at it or simply wasn't willing to put forth the effort to become good at it.

While the game is fun to play I can't help but be annoyed at the amount of DLC being offered on day one. There is more than likely going to be a "Complete Edition" that will be released, but that aside, the game is cool. If you can pick it up at a discount, even better, but for the most part, it's almost worth the full MSRP.

Although I bought this game for my brother. I truly enjoyed playing a few rounds. The gameplay was smooth and gory. I liked the addition of new characters. I played the beginning of the story mode and was hooked.

If you enjoyed the last one, you'll love this one. Enjoy the new modes especially the Fatality training! Plenty of characters, great graphics, audio's amazing. Full 7.1 mode available. Recommend to any fight fan.

It's what I was expectiing from Nether Real studios and Mortal Kombat. Builds upon the 2009 MK game and the Injustice gameplay mechanics. If you liked either one, you'll like this. Most gruesome fatalities ever.

Great improvement over MK9 (not to say MK9 was bad). Adds many features that cater to beginners and veterans to the series. The DLC schedule is a bit scummy, however, as characters that are currently in the game (like rain and tanya) are or will be DLC, even though they are COMBATABLE OPPONENTS in the game's story...

This is a next-gen fighting game thats beutiful and makes the PS4 proud! The fighting mechanics are smooth and not clunky. The fatalities and fighting moves are devastingly gruesome and amazing to behold.

Love this game! It's got awesome graphics, fatalities are gory and awesome, but they're super easy to do now. I think it's pretty cool you can download Jason Vorhees. The story mode is cool and fun to do.

When you first start playing it brings back childhood memories. As you continue you can see how the game has advanced and is better than ever...A must buy even if you don't typically play fighting games.

I love everything about the game. They did a great job with the graphics, fatalities, costumes, and most importantly the interactive backgrounds. Playing this game on a 4k TV only adds to its greatness.

This is an excellent update to the franchise. Similar gameplay and same characters, and also brings back the fatalities. They do allow to pay for easy fatalities but I see no need for that. Awesome game.

This game perfected what Mortal Kombat 9 messed up on! The controls feels smooth, fatalities can be done without having to know a 30 button configuration, graphics are crisp, and loving the soundtrack!

I've been playing the game nonstop for the past couple of days it's been out and i must say its very entertaining! I've played mk9 a lot but i never really played a fighter online as much as this one.

I love the fact that there is a storyline mode to add to the greatness of this game. Graphics and game play are awesome. The season pass is a must buy. They just added Jason Voorhees to the roster.

Solid game and addition to the MK library. Graphics are incredible, and the game play is smooth. The character choices are pretty vast. The only cons are the fact that you have to pay for certain characters, and that just like any other MK game, it has a shelf life before boredom and routine set in.

Really good fighting game that adds onto the prior ones revolutionary fighting engine. They definitely turned it up a notch with the gore bringing it back to what made this fighting game famous /
