Great I interactive story. I haven't played the series since super Nintendo but it felt like I never stopped playing. Wish the doc wasn't so expensive but hopefully it'll be free in the long run.

Most people will play this for the blood and corny-ness of the game, so the fighting game mechanics is not that important. But like any other Nether Realm games game comes out and the balance is always being updated because they don't really know how to make fighting games. The game also wants you to buy DLC characters and there are already many that are in game but you can not play, because they probably plan on wanted to sell it to you for season two DLCs. The online is horrible with lag as usual other NR games compared to other fighting games. That said, I still give it a 4 star because I think most people who will buy this game won't care if it's a solid fighting game. And as a brainless button mashing fun and paper rock scissors game play at best, it's still good entertainment. I personally wouldn't have bought the game if Jason and Predator wasn't coming out as DLC characters, but if you are reading this review then you probably already like MK, then I think as a MK game or Nether Realms game it gets 4 stars.

Great game, enjoy playing at each level of story line, the fatality X-ray is awesome-graphics and details are fantastic. Anyone who enjoys the legacy of Mortal Kombat, this is must have game!

Having not played any Mortal Kombat games since Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, I would highly recommend this one if you are a fan of the series. Great graphics and the fatalities are awesome!

BUY THIS GAME!!! Awesome game overall! I would highly recommend. Their new x-ray moves are awesome, online play is fun, and the story wasn't terrible either. Good game to play with friends!

This is one of the best fighters out for the PS4 right now. If you're a MK fan then this is a must buy. Fighting engine, character design, combat design, and stage design are what you'd expect from MK. This time around MKX has much smoother controls and fatalities look better than ever.

This the best Mortal Kombat to date... This game has some of the greatest game play ever for this series. The fighting and the epic fatalities, all make for an awesome Mortal Kombat...

I'm not one to buy fighting games, but I took a chance on Mortal Kombat X and I'm having a blast. The story mode is a blast, but anything above medium level is excruciatingly difficult.

Great graphics and definitely worth the wait! Online vs mode and 2 player vs mode as well! I would recommend the game to anyone who would like to challenge their friends at a MK Fight!

I've always been a huge fan of mortal kombat and this game does the franchise justice. My favorite mortal kombat game has always been mortal kombat deception, and even after playing this it still is, however this game is definitely a close second. The story mode consists of just plot and fights and random quick time events sprinkled throughout. It's very similar to injustice as far as story goes. Overall there is a lot of content packed into this game that will keep you entertained for a very long time. It's unfair to compare this game to deception because although they are the same franchise, it is still a very different game. If you like fighting games and enjoy lots of violence and gore then you'll love this game. If fighting games aren't really your thing or you don't like a lot of violence then this isn't the game for you. P.S. I love what they did with the krypt in this game, it's like an old school adventure game and I've spent so much time playing in it.

Love the game, reminds me of good times as a teen. I just can't play it with my kids. But it's great, love the controls, the graphics and the price was right.

the game is awesome and will keep you glued forever. The fatalities, brutalities etc. are great and innovative. The towers feature and story part is great. Online gaming is a joy.

Mortal Kombat X is a welcome entry in the next gen fighting game genre. Graphics and gore are Superb! Fighting mechanics seem very well implemented, though it still takes skill if you want to pull off some really damaging combos. Only con I would say is the DLC can get expensive.

The gameplay is great, graphics are good. The fatalities are the best ones in the series. The fact that every character have now 3 different play style, opens up big opportunities

The game has a nice overall feel to it. Various different formats can be chosen. Would recommend this game to any mortal kombate fan. A must have.. many hours of entertainment..

Great game! The fatalities are incredibly clever and graphic. The storyline for the campaign is very interesting, especially for long time MK lovers. Fun and entertaining game!

When I first saw some of the images of the game I thought it was going to be almost the same as Mortal Kombat 9. I wasn't expecting much, but once I started playing I was blown away! The colors, backgrounds and characters all look beautiful in MKX. The gameplay is definitely enhanced. Fights are very fast paced with 3 different fighting variations for each character. Plus all of the characters' finishers are amazingly brutal! The krypt is an awesome adventure with a labyrinth like style. If you are a MK fan, you need this in your collection. If you aren't sure if you should get it because MK9 was good enough, you still need this!

I love Mortal Kombat but it was getting stale. This game has so many new modes and characters that I'm hooked again! A great reboot of the series and got me back into it!

The fighting was better than others ive played. The options when choosing a player and class skill adds to the overall experience of the game. Ive passed the storyline and enjoyed the overall cinematic scenes. The graphics are great my only issue was the grappling special moves were a bit over the top as in the last game, i hope that the developers will adjust the craziness as it tends to be more erratic than the actual fatalities. The crypt was ok navigation definitely had more to look at but gets a little boring. For those that enjoy a good competitive game that doesn't take itself too seriously this is for you.

Mortal Kombat X is a well polished fighter that improves upon Injustice the new characters are fun along with the interactive levels but the DLC and season pass are pricey.
