    Mortal Shell is a Dark Souls third person action game. It tries extremely hard to be just like Dark Souls with it's copycat shield and hit technique but does add some elements that are pretty interesting. They also copy the vague descriptions of items to tell the story that the Souls series is fond of using. The art direction is also pretty good. Some of my major gripes about this game is that the combat is not very responsive, there is not really any character customization, and it is very short. The short length is not that big of a deal and lately have been preferring games with a short length of time to finish them. If you are looking for a multi-week long commitment into exploration and lore, this game will not suffice. For a Souls-like to be successful, I feel you really need to have quick and responsive combat to be the focus. Every time you use a dodge or shield technique in MS, there is a half-second delay which I found irritating to say the least. No character customization is a big deal for me and unfortunately this did not have it but not really their fault.

    Very good souls like game. Adds a twist that most souls like games don't so which makes it buyable other than actual souls games. The creators are indie and the game is slower than normal games like this, making me forgive them for a few arguments. I hope the team responsible makes more games.

    I have not played it but I’ll play it later. This game was not even supposed to be a physical copy but they were so popular that they had no choice. I plan on holding on to this copy and not sell it .

    Playing on ps5 is a treat. It has received a next gen patch and plays as it was meant to. Punishingly hard but fair. On the shorter side but with the difficulty should provide many hours of tense fights.

    A great addition to the ARPG genre. I'm not there greatest at these but at least this one didn't make me want to break my controller

    The Mortal Shell games has gotten better with each day I play this game. It will be at some points a great Series if it get that way
