Router works really well, occasional WiFi issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works really well and was very easy to set up with Comcast. Haven't seen any issues with wired connections but I have seen issues with WiFi. Sometimes the WiFi signal is there but there is no internet access. Haven't been able to find a fix for this.

Good Router dual band
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this with my Xfinity broadband, had purchased it to avoid monthly rental from Comcast ($10) every month, its worth the money, it has 2 bands 2Ghz and 5 Ghz, have connected all of my devices to 5Ghz and works flawlessly and has a good range, I can use the network till by car park which is about 30 meters away.

Great savings!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this wifi modem to avoid paying rental fees. It was easy to get everything & everyone up and running. I was able to keep my same wifi name and password. The only difference we noticed was on the bill.

Modem for both internet and VOIP PHONES
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great modem that I purchased for my mother. It works for her internet and her VOIP phone. She needed this type of modem for her Comcast internet and VOIP phone. Easy to set up, my 82 year old mother could do it.

Overall Good upper/mid level cable modem / router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Modem is reliable, however admin interface locks up routinely and requires a reboot to restore. Also MAC ID DHCP IP reservations don't seem to work, with a IP reservation in place, reserved device will still join with another random IP address. Port forwarding / adv routing features all good. No issues with internet connectivity or wifi. Overall a good mid-high level choice for an average user, most will find the above issues have no impact on the functionality of the modem/router. Not the fastest cable modem on the market, for that you want to look at a 32 x 8 (32 downstream channels / 8 upstream channels) which typically start around $200 and up. At 16 x 4, this modem will support theoretical speeds up to about 600MB downstream connection. Unless your paying for top end, 1GB, cable internet service or are looking to upgrade in the future, this modem will work just fine.

The Modem
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy this device. The modem fits the decor of its location in my office. The instructions in English were easy to understand and to the point. All necessary items that were included were the only ones needed to set up operations.

I have Internet!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m not tech savvy and this router/modem was super easy to use! I was replacing a 7 year old router/modem that was no longer connecting. Luckily, my work PC had an Ethernet port, which my personal Macs do not. So that really helped. Don’t forget to recycle your old technology!

Descent
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty easy setup. I had an ARIS before modem router combo before buying this one. I had higher download speeds with ARIS. This particular modem tends to slow down at random times but it does the job. I just do the typical stream and work so this fits those needs

MOTOROLA MODEM?ROUTER
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced the Xfinity company modem with this one.HAD LOTS of problems with it. This MOTOROLA modem/router was fairly easy to set up. Only problem was that I had to use my cellphone for info, but was good enough. Yes I would by this one again if needed.

Customer service is great
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this in one shot rather than renting from xfinity on a monthly cost. It is working great - I had an issue called Motorola and they assisted me within in minutes up and working even better!

Easy to set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to go for this modem because it had four LAN ports. I am an Xfinity customer, and it was very easy to set up this modem. One thing I am not sure about is that between the two wireless connections (the 2G and the 5G), all the devices that I have switch back to the 2G by default; I am not sure this is normal or not. Other than that, connection has been great, and I have not had any issues with this modem/router.

Attempted to replace a comcast modem
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Attempted to replace a comcast modem. Seems about 20% slower and I've increased my speed at comcast. Not sure if that is comcast, or if the comcast hustle, as even Ameritech resellers would have issues with Ameritech (old phone company) messing with reseller lines, so perhaps getting a slower speed is to push me to "go back" to a comcast modem. I wouldn't rule that out at all in any way. If I would try again, I may upgrade to a little better modem to replace the comcast router, however, I do save $15 a month moving forward, so it was a very good first try to "get off the comcast" modem.
