Upgraded from a really old (>10 years) DOCSIS 3.0 modem. Setup via the Xfinity app worked successfully. My Xfinity plan is 1.2G. The speed test resulted 900+ so I'm happy.

I received a repackaged used modem.

The box was damaged because the modem was incorrectly packed. The cable tie on the power supply was strangely wrapped, as was the actual wires from the supply. And, the password of the modem was NOT what was indicated on the bottom of the modem. In short, I was sent a modem that was NOT new.
I had to do a (long reset - far more than the 10 seconds the instructions claimed) in order to access the modem's control page.
I FINALLY got things working, and the modem appears to be fully functional. And, I got it for a good price. But, it really grates me that I did not receive the NEW modem I paid for.

I replaced the modem Xfinity gave us with this, and it fixed the stuttering snd packet loss i was experiencing while gaming, and increased my mesh network’s speed. This is well worth it. It was also very easy to set up.

Good cable modem but...

Had to return this Cable Modem. Worked great for a couple of days then problem occurred where slowness and disconnection from the Internet. Worked with Spectrum to troubleshoot which I ended up returning the device at Best Buy and got a free cable modem at Spectrum.

Unboxing was straightforward. Included is modem, patch cable and power adapter. I followed the easy-to-use instructions and disconnected my current modem. I then proceeded to connect the new modem to the cable and plugged in the power. I waited for the few min for the white light to appear. Then I went into my Spectrum app and was unable to locate the modem. I then called Spectrum, and they took my “MAC Address” from the bottom of the modem or box. Then after 15 min it was activated. I then plugged in an ethernet cable to my router/wireless. The included cable was only Cat 5e and short. I am not sure since the spec is at most 1GB and this is able to handle up to 2.5GB. I installed just a 1GB (Cat6) cable. Then I ran a speed test on my 1GB connection. I was able to still get the same speeds as my previous modem. I like the fact that when greater speeds are released this can accept it without hardware change. Also, I like the $5.99mo I can now have removed from my bill. More importantly I like the look of this since it looks more discrete and looks like a small blue tooth speaker vs and ugly old school piece of plastic. Since mine sits on my desk it is more visually appealing. I do wish there was a smoother activation but that could have been on Spectrum’s side and not the fault of Motorola. Also, I do wish they had other colors like White or Blue to blend more with the surroundings.
