    Minimal difference vs 1gb ethernet

I originally bought these to run as dedicated lines for my AiMesh Nodes on a Coax-Ethernet back haul. Ended up using them to create a dedicated network for my IP cameras. Even thought I have a 10gb backbone I saw considerable network slowdown because the QNAP Pro software records my 8 IP cameras 24/7. In addition, I stream these cameras to a Nvidia Shield to convert the RTSP to HTTP for use on my Home Automation tables installed on the walls. I have various Samsung Cameras and they stream between 42 to 2 mbps depending on the model. Needless to say there was considerable network traffic constantly. So I ended up using these MOCA devices to run a dedicated IP Camera network with another router enabling static routes. Used pre-existing Coax, which saved me the trouble of running additional Ethernet. I saw little to no speed difference comparing it to 1gb ethernet. Just be sure to use high quality splitters and coax cables. These devices are plug and play. Wish I discovered them a long time ago.

    Turn your coax into ethernet!

I was skeptical about purchasing this item but have been more than pleased with how easy it was to set up and how reliable the connection has been! In order to have this working, you'll need 2 of these to create the moca network unless this is something your router already supports. Either way, I am getting full speed over the 30 year old coax lines already installed in my house and through a splitter in the basement. This saved me a lot of time and effort compared to installing cat6 throughout the house. I'd still take true ethernet wiring over this but this adpater is a GREAT solution for those hard to reach places of your home. I highly recommend and plan to buy more in the future!!!

I cut the cable and now use the internet to stream all of my TV shows. One of my TVs was at a distance from my router and would constantly drop the WIFI signal. I was using Apple TV at this location and used the MOCA Network Adapter to get a hardwired ethernet connection through my coaxial cable. It worked perfectly and TV viewing is great. I only had one problem which was caused by my router not being wired correctly for MOCA. The router had a MOCA adapter installed (this is needed for the MOCA to work), but was missing a splitter and back connection from the router.

Have been using an Actiontec MOCA adapter for some number of years on Grande cable's aging TiVo equipment. Has worked fine, even if somewhat slow and not great for interconnection. The Actiontec died a number of days ago, so I searched for adapters. Reviews were good online for this 1Gb box, so I used some Reward points, had it shipped, and hooked it up. Instant MOCA network connection, stable operation. Just wish Grande would upgrade their TiVos to gigabit level equipment!

Recently cut the cord on cable and switched to a gigabit ethernet. However, rewiring the house with an ethernet network for an old house was going to be challenging. Instead, used these Motorola adapters to setup network points at both ends of the house and use a wifi router. Now the whole house runs at blazing speed from end to end. Motorola adapters were easy to setup and use as well as cheaper than the alternative. Very much recommend this.

Note - My modem had MoCA so I only needed 1. I bought 2 and can use them both or put somewhere else. If your cable modem doesn't have MoCA you would need both. We are using it for my sons gaming machine and he says the delay is better than ever and we did not have to run any new cables or wires.

Very easy to set up. Wired up to my network and connected to the TiVo in under 10 min.
