The device was very difficult to use and awkward to use. First, the device would not give a reading unless you were 1/2" away from a person nearly touching them. Second, because of poor design ergonomics the device had to be held high above in reaching a persons forehead. Sorry but we returned the Motorola Care+ 3-in-1 Smart Thermometer to Best Buy. We have seen the pistol style thermometers being used everywhere and it seems that they may work better so we will purchase that style.

The thermometer has been carefully developed to make accurate, safe, fast and contact-free human body temperature measurements at a distance of not more than 3cm (or 1 inch) on the forehead and object temperature measurements. Opened the package, put the batteries (included) in, and the “low battery” display popped up on the screen. None of the functions would work. We tried 3 different sets of new batteries, but the “low battery” display stays on and the thermometer won’t work. We can’t find a way to get ahold of Motorola, so there’s now way to get a refund or trade on warranty.
