As a replacement for my Comcast modem, I decided to get this modem. I notice a significant improvement in speed, connectivity and performance when compared to my Comcast modem. So far, I have connected multiple devices without any issues and it works great. You should consider purchasing a modem rather than renting one. In the long run, you'll save money.

I'm usually a linksys guy but have read so much about new Motorola products that I thought I'd give the Motorola - Wireless-ac1900 Dual-band Wi-fi Router . I's been a month and I've had no problems. Super easy to set up , great wifi speed and range. I have a laptop and a desktop wired directly, plus 2 Amazon Dot's running and I have no degradation in speed or connectivity.

    VERY EASY INSTALLATION

This item is the easiest to install! I am not tech savvy, that said, the directions included with the product could not have been easier! From the time I removed it from the box to working was perhaps 10 minutes. I had a Motorola product that was still working well after 8+ years- but with the times, I purchased a newer model- I hope it works as well. I am very happy with my purchase. I previously purchased a Netgear product for more money- was not impressed. Customer service is NOT based in the USA- I had to call and try to understand the representative with roosters crowing in the background. (Which is why that product was returned.) Motorola’s customer service is in the USA, another reason I purchased this product. I have not needed customer service but if I did, that was important to me.

I read product reviews for this modem before I purchased it. Since it was a little bit priceier than others I wanted to be somewhat sure it was worth it. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. I had problems with the cable company’s modem not reaching the entire house. Not a problem with this modem. Covers entire house with a strong signal. I’t doesn’t seem to be pricey now.

Setup was easy. Just connected the coax cable, worked through the basic setup instructions included in the booklet, and I was good to go. The good: Excellent little router. We can connect up to 10 devices pretty easily without any noticeable decrease in speed. This is including 1 ethernet connection. Speed is excellent (or rather, it hits the upper limit from my provider, which is 100 mbps). The bad: Nothing. The ugly: Every once in a while -I'd say maybe once or twice a week, the wifi just dies. Usually the router auo-restarts and fixes it, so we don't really see an issue - at most, we have to wait through about 30s of buffering. But sometimes, it does not restart, so I have to restart the gateway through my provider. Fortunately, there is an app for that (TM) so it takes about 2 minutes, but it would be a hassle if one had to go directly to the ISP to do this.

    Best Decision - Totally

I was renting the box from Xfinity. First let me say $14. a month adds up quickly. $168 in one year just to rent the equipment that you never own. Getting rid of that expense was a no brainer. With Xfinity's box I noticed a problem with 2.4 G vs 5G. Some items don't work with Xfinity 5G but the Motorola modem works well with both and chooses which network is needed automatically which took the guesswork out of it. I was able to connect those devices with no problem. My biggest concern was I worried if I would lose download/upload speeds. I did NOT!! I find that this modem works better than the Xfinity one did. Overall it was a great decision very easy to install, a quick call to Xfinity and I have been up and running with no problem. I've had it almost a month and I love it. If you are tired of wasting money renting, this is your answer.

Had this router for a couple years and still works great! No complaints. Perfect purchase for me and so glad I got it. Wish I purchased it sooner, but this particular model may not have been available at the time. Completely happy.

Noticeably faster speeds! This item was extremely easy to setup and activate. All you need to do is insert the cables provided, tighten the coaxial cord, and call your internet service provider. I've gone through a few different modems/routers, and this was by far the easiest to install. You can go to the domain and customize name/password for the connection. There is also the 5G WiFi signal, for compatible devices. All devices connected, and have had no issues with dropping signal. The price is great compared to similar modem+WiFi router combos

I would say we have “medium” speed internet from Spectrum/Charter, and this has been a great upgrade to the separate modem and router that they provide. Connection throughout our house has been stronger, faster, and more reliable since installing this Motorola unit. Would buy again.

My son had some issues with some of his pc games lagging ( we have a 600 mbps plan ) so after so many months we figured it was the Router/Modem. I went to replace with an Arris Modem that gave us nothing but problems. Out of frustration I hooked this modem back up and had our provider do a remote reset. It works great again. It does have 4 ports but I bought a Netgear ethernet switch and it works perfect with this Motorola. The wifi has good range also for our 2900 sq ft 2 story. We have this in the upstairs and it does a good job of blanketing our home in wifi. I did have one go bad during the 2 year warranty period and Motorola was excellent at getting us a replacement.

Super easy to install. Xfinity rep assisted me over the phone. It’s small enough to fit in a small shelf space yet very powerful. I have increased range and speed with all my devices. I am saving $15/month on my bill. No more renting.

We were renting a cable one modem/router and were trying of having the company hard resetting it and the dropped WiFi connections to our Xbox and smart tv. Saw the reviews for this and decided to try it as a last ditch effort. It DEFINITELY works!! The router/modem really DOES make a difference. Who knew...we could’ve bought two of these in the last few years renting. Works really well. Ethernet is faster and so are uploading and downloading speeds. My husband is definitely pleased with the graphics on his xbox 1. No more lagging. Definitely worth the money. You’ll be glad you did!
