Only 2 mos. in service, performance has been flawless. A nice feature is the large size and color coding of the indicator lights/icons. I'm only paying Cox for 50 Mbs service (one 4k stream is ~15 Mbs.), so this DOCSIS 3.0 device serves my needs perfectly. If you need more than the ~150 Mbs max speed of this modem, or require DOCSIS 3.1, you'll need a more robust device, but for a basic cable modem, this is a good buy.

I have XFINITY cable and wanted to use my own modem instead of renting. I found the Motorola both fast and easy to install, with the service I have, a call was needed to activate the modem along with the model number and serial number (on bottom), and a longer Ethernet cable (one that goes from the modem to the computer). The computer was lightning F A S T and works great. Never had any issue with it yet, works great, and no more rental fees. I then wanted to go wireless, so I also bought a BELKIN wireless router, and it also works great with the Motorola Modem. Now, I have 4 security cameras, 3 laptops, 1 desktop, 3 smart phones, and a notebook all hooked to this modem / router and still works great with XFINITY.

This is a magical device I spend for it only $30 and I save hundreds and hundreds of dollars from Xfinity I definitely recommend it for everyone

This modem stands out and has been doing a great job. It never failed and connection is really fast. Depending on the cable gauge I suggest to hang it somewhere or stick it with some adhesive. It is very lightweight.

Works great with Comcast n their security.. needed a service call for the security part of the deal n a follow phone call for lack of their skill set.. You'll notice the router bridged they added for the xfinity security in photo.

Like most things in this digital age Cable Modem's are very much an on/off sort of product. It either works, or it doesn't in other words. I'm quite happy with this motorola modem and happy to report that it works very well. Set up can't really be much simpler. Plug it in, attach your wireless router and then give your internet service provider a call so that the device can be registered to your account and within 15 minutes you're good to go. This particular modem is compliant with Time Warner/Spectrum which is who I currently utilize. This was a replacement for an Arris brand router that broke after 2 years unexpectedly. My previous Motorola brand router had lasted over a decade by comparison. Both brands fall under the same corporate umbrella, but given my own experiences I feel that the Motorola branding leads to more quality products, however your mileage may vary. This modem is not a top of the line modem, however for my modest 25mbps download/2mbps upload it is more than enough as it likely will be for most casual users. Rated at up to 300mbps, unless you have one of the ultra high speed 1gb/sec plans you will find it is more than sufficient for the average household. Best of all this modem rings in under $100 on average so it won't break the bank either. Easy recommendation from me.

After renting a modem for $10 per month from my cable provider I decided to purchase my own and couldn't be more pleased with value, performance and ease of set up.

I purchased this brand/model for: Low price, speed, compact & brand. I found that it is very easy setup, serves WiFi router with 20 devices, very fast with no lag. Small but powerful. Increased my entire home network speed. Connected to TWC & Spectrum Cable ISPs among others also. I highly recommend this excellent product.

I bought this modem to replace the one I was renting from my cable company. Why didn't I do this sooner??? It was so easy to set up... it was automatically recognized by my cable service. I am using it with the latest and greatest WiFi "router" - Eero

I wanted to reduce my monthly cable bill and I already owned a wireless router I liked. So I called Comcast and asked them about compatible cable modems. Of course, there are many to choose from, some even having the XFinity name brand right on the box. This modem was the cheapest in terms of what was on that list. I figured "why not" and bought it. I came home, plugged it in, and plugged in my wireless router. When I tried to connect to the internet, the XFinity login screen appeared, and all I had to do is enter my Xfinity login and password (the same one I use when paying my cable bill). The XFinity website then set up everything and it seemed to work fine. I did have some trouble with the website popping up again a few days later and re-configuring my modem. On a hunch, I configured my wireless router to clone the MAC address of the computer I used when logging into the XFinity website. Typically this is a setting that can be found on your wireless router's configuration page. Ever since then, the modem and router have been happily working together, and I haven't had to re-log in to XFinity. The performance is very good, as I regularly get 85MB/s download, which is the plan I signed up for from Comcast. I don't particularly like Comcast and probably will be upgrading to Google Fiber or AT&T fiber - both will be in my apartment building in Atlanta soon and I'll be looking at 1000MB/s rates when that happens. Until then, this cheap cable modem delivers on the goods at 85MB/s for a fraction of the cost of the other options. That's great in my book.

Motorola does it again, great product. Reliable, fast, and worth the price. Doesn't run hot either. Can't go wrong with this item.

I already had a router in my Apple Time Capsule and I was using a modem (with router, but turned off) from Comcast. I was being charged $11 plus tax for use of that stupid modem/router. So I decided to buy my own modem instead and after reviewing the comments on various modems for sale at Best Buy, I decided on this one and I’m very happy with my purchase. At the time I ordered it online, it was on sale at around $35, with normal price listed at around $50. It had to be shipped in and I waited a few days after being notified that it was available for pick up. When I finally did that, I was told that the price had dropped again and was now around $16 including tax. Wow! The thing is, this is a great little modem. It was truly easy to set up and it is nice and compact, compared to the giant modem/router that I was using from Comcast. I highly recommend this modem.

Purchased this modem for use with our home computer in our office. It's stylish, compact and fits in nicely with its surroundings. We have had zero issues with this since our purchase.

The Motorola modem is very sleek, easily installed, and takes up very little space. It performs flawlessly.

For under $100, the modem is a great deal. Works just as good as the ones that you get from your cable company. I returned my modem back to time warner cable and now I'm saving about $130 a year on my cable bill. I haven't had any problems with the modem. Great product.

I first purchased a Netgear cable modem for my new Comcast 25 MBs Docsis 3 service. I bought it based on the brand. It had problems connecting to the server when it first connected to the Comcast network, and refused to upload or download for about 6 hours. After that it worked for a few days, then refused to connect again, this happened 4 times in the first 15 days. I returned it for this same-priced modem and I couldn't be happier. This modem worked immediately, gives me the full speeds my service offers, has never had any problems in the month I've owned it, and it runs a LOT cooler than the Netgear model did. I highly recommend this modem and NOT the Netgear modem for people getting Comcast service. I would absolutely recommend this modem to anybody.

This modem is easy to install. I just had to install comcast/xfinity to get this setup. No problems with dropped connections and a good value.
