Modem works quite well so far in my house. Internet is fast and reliable.

I bought this to replace a older modem that was starting to show its age. This modem was easy to hook up! I registered it with my internet service provider and it works like a charm. I would definitely recommend this modem for the price!

This cable modem works very well with Time Warner Cable. Achieved 240 mb/s right out of the box, about three times the speed of my previous Arris 6141 modem. The secret is this modem locks to 16 channels download compared to 8 channels with the Arris. Very steady performance.

Installs quickly (Spectrum). Runs in background without any apparent issue. Good price. I am satisfied. The in-store pickup worked nicely, except that I used my wife's paypal. Fortunately she was standing in the store nodding her head.

I bought this modem as part of switching to Comcast about a month ago and have had no issues at all. The indication saying it is supported by them is true and activation went smoothly. If you want to save $10 or so a month on modem rental fees and are on a provider or are switching to a provider that uses DOCSIS 3.0 then this is worth every penny!

So, you're looking for a new modem. Your old one stopped working--started dropping connection randomly--and you just want to buy something that works without spending too much money. I get it. I really do. But, there's a marginal chance you have very little knowledge about networking. Fair. Who has time to learn all that? Here's the bottom line: The Motorola MB7420 is made by a trusted company (you've at least heard of them). But why buy this model and not the slightly cheaper MB7220 you saw on that other website or in your local catch-all retail store? Channels and speed, to put it simply. If you're paying for a mid-level internet plan (because you like streaming videos/playing video games/looking at fourteen separate Firefox tabs of cat photos) and you're not the only person in your house doing this, you need the capabilities provided by this model. See that "16x4" on the box? Equate those numbers to (number of people)x(balls being thrown around)--bear with me here. You're probably thinking, "Four balls isn't that many. Surely eight people could toss and catch balls just as easily as sixteen." Think again. Imagine that each of these people is throwing these balls at near light-speed(they're really good at catching and throwing). Now imagine that sometimes multiple balls are directed at one person. See where I'm going with this? If not, use your rudimentary math skills: sixteen is twice as much as eight. This means a drastically reduced chance of multiple connections causing a drop in speed on your devices. Do you like buffering? Maybe you do. Maybe that spinning circle puts you in a zen state of mind. If not, stop being cheap and buy a decent modem.

If you're a new Comcast internet customer, I recommend this modem to replace the Xfinity rental modem. Works just fine with the same speed and pays for itself in 8 months. Such a deal !

Easy setup. Takes up very little space. Price reasonable.

Cox charged me a rental fee (which I was unaware of), so this will eliminate the charges. So far it has worked well, no issues, and no complaints. It streams movies just fine and my internet is steady and decent.

I needed to upgrade from a Docsis 2.0 to a 3.0 modem to take advantage of the higher internet speed being offered by my provider. A very easy install. Do not forget to reboot your wireless router as part of the install.

I would recommend this product. Never had an issue with it. The speed is excellent. Easy setup.

Using for Xfinity Extreme 150, paired with NETGEAR Nighthawk X4S - AC2600. Kids have finally stopped complaining about lag and slow internet. Latest OOKLA - 11 ping/180 download /23 upload. Started using in late August 2017, still good in November 2017. Will update if any issues. So far so good!

Family started into the streaming tv gig last year. Started having some issues with connectivity, which boiled down to our older Motorola modem. Purchased this one at my local Best Buy, installed it, and got it running. We now get our full bandwidth with no issues. Very happy with this product.

This is a good solid modem. I wanted to no longer be beholden to my carrier for their cheap modem and by having my own modem, I got a small discount on my bill. I purchased it several years ago and I have had to reset it twice. It just works. When I set it up, I did need to provide the cable company with the “magic” number on the modem.

This cable modem seems to perform very well. It was easy to provision on the Comcast network and seems to maintain a good connection.

I was recommended to return the Comcast Modem and purchase this instead of paying a monthly rental fee. So far this will have paid for itself in 7 months and take up a lot less shelf real estate space. Plus seems to use less power so all in all it's a win win!

Do you want to save money and buy your own modem for Comcast? This is the answer. It works great with Comcast's higher speeds. This is a modem only and does not have a telephone outlet or wi-fi.

I am a Comcast customer and their equipment was just not cutting it. I could not walk out of the room without dropping all service. Now I can go to the opposite side of my house and still have all of the service bars and great, fast service!!
