Just plug it in according to the instructions and wait about 10 min and you are good to go. It outperforms my previous modem and router by a factor of 10!

I also don't need to reset it hardly at all (unlike other modems)

Great Modem - Highly Recommended

The Netgear that I previously had lasted only two weeks before it put out an intermittent signal and had to be replaced.

However, I believe (as I have all along) the major problem is my cable service company. They kept saying my old modem wasn't current enough for thier service. So I got this modem to take that possibility away from them. WARNING: Don't let mediacom tell you your equipment isn't good enough for their system. That is BS...
