The modem was faulty

I called mediacom thinking it was a cable issue because of a storm the acknowledged there was a problem after it was fixed the modem still didn't perform. A tech came to the house and ran a full diagnostics. The modem was recieving 280 mbps with a signal noise of +4, the modem was only putting out 74 mbps with a signal noise of -17. I called best buy and they blew me off saying it was past the return date of 14 days. I am returning the modem to Motorola who will send me a replacement but I will never buy anything from Best Buy again. If Best buy can't improve their consumer support without having to pay for a stupid membership then I will do business with Amazon

Motorola DOCSIS 3 Cable modem
