Great choice for sub-Gb internet

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you don't have a cable connection faster than 900 Mb you don't need a DOCSIS 3.1 modem and you'll likely not see a difference between 24 and 32 channels. This is definitely an excellent modem to go with until you do. I have two MB 7621s in different locations. Recommended.

Decent reliable cable modem

I also didn't want to pay a rental fee from the cable company. Reason for the 4 stars is every so often my internet stops working and I have to unplug/plug to reset then the internet works again. I have received a call from my cable company saying they're seeing a lot of ups/downs with the signal so maybe the issue is more on their end and not the modem itself.

My ISP wanted me to rent a 3.1 or something higher from them. I checked their list and this modem was rated as doing just fine, thanks very much. And guess what -- it works just fine, thanks very much. No need to waste money with my ISP.

motorola modem

I replaced a 4 year old netgear 400 which kept losing wifi signal every day. With the motorola modem it has not dropped wifi connection yet.

I have a 2 stories house, with the router in the 2d floor and the signal outside in the floor is strong enough

This modem was the missing piece.

Sturdy Modem

We upgraded to this modem because our old one was very slow and overheated. This new Motorola Modem is very sturdy and doesn't overheat like our old modem.

Then after two weeks modem would work for 5 minutes the stop. Reboot modem. Work for 5 minutes then stop. Had to return it and go back to my old modem
