Love this modem. Handles 1 gigabit speeds with ease. The ACM feature isn't what it's built up to be and you will still need a router that can handle bufferbloat but the modem has just worked for over a year for me with no issues what so ever.

Ive used mostly Netgear modems so its my first time using a motorola modem. I just recently updated my xfinity internet speed to 1200 mbps download and 40 mbps upload speed. I thought the CM1200 supports 1200 mbps dl but on xfinity supported modem list for that speed tier its not so i have to update my modem to take advantage of the speed. The setup is pretty easy i just followed the instruction and didnt have any hiccups didnt have to call xfinity customer service for help. Works well so far i got the subscribed speed and some more. I paired this modem with the Asus ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 and they both work well together i never have to force reset the modem or the router ever since owning them. Highly recommend this modem its priced reasonable too

Great Value for the Price and Performance

After two years of renting a modem from Mediacom I decided upgrade my plan and equipment. After extensive research I chose the Motorola MB8611 as the best option for it value and performance. I was averaging 300 to 350 Mbps with the old modem and after upgrading to the Motorola modem paired with two Eero 6+ routers now I average 955 Mbps. The difference is very significant and if I decide to upgrade my package to even higher speed, the modem can take the load since it can go up to 2.5 Gbps, making this product future proof. Overall, great value for its price and performance, very capable of running constant high speeds.

Good replacement for a ISP rented router. ISPs are notorious for having an all in one device, however i like to segment my traffic on my home network. This pairs great with a nighthawk router

YUGE Upgrade from Arris Surfboard SB6183!

We use Cox Internet in our home, and I needed to upgrade our modem from the old Arris Surfboard SB6183 which began to really show its age. I researched modems and decided to go with Motorola based on reviews from a lot of different sites. This thing is BLAZING fast! We don't even have any crazy fast internet speeds but you can definitely tell the difference with this modem! Super easy to setup and the GUI is VERY user friendly. Unlike Arris modems, this one actually has a physical reset button and an On/Off button on the back. You wouldn't think that's a big deal but it for sure is when you're having internet trouble and need to reset or power-off the modem. If security is important to you (which it should be) this modem allows you to login to the GUI with your own username and password! I highly recommend going with this modem even if you don't need a DOCSIS 3.1 modem because this modem also supports DOCSIS 3.0 and is supported by all the major ISPs in the United States. Get yourself a future-proof modem and upgrade your internet with this!

Great modem. Works perfectly fine with Comcast and is compatible with the newest standards. Have had no issues with it since purchase. It’s advisable to change the default sign in/log in credentials as an extra layer of security for your home network. Also, don’t let your cable company tell you that you’re able to download new firmware for the router from the manufacturer, that is strictly the cable company’s responsibility and something you CANNOT do yourself.

Easy to hook up. Foes the job. I did have to call Xfinity to get them to register the device. Have yet to test high speed but so far so good.always lean to Motorola as they have always been relusble.

Easy to set up, works well. Downstream light wouldn't stop flashing blue (wouldn't channel bond) due to broadband network noise (-11dB). Worked great when I used a -6dB splitter.

This is a solid 'workhorse' for GB internet. The URL is 192.168.100.1 to view the logs and diagnostic channel data which your ISPs modem(s) won't normally show you.

I use WOW ISP and I found that my older Linksys Cable Modem was bottle necking a bit. I also realized it was not a DOCSIS 3.1 and would not allow for me to upgrade my internet speeds to the 1 gig service. So I researched some options and found this Motorola fit all of the options I was looking for and the download speeds without breaking the bank. I loved my Linksys because it was easy to setup and compatible with my router. I initially had some thoughts about switching to a Motorola cable modem, mainly setting up and quality. I've had some issues with other Motorola products in the past, so I did purchase an extended warranty with BestBuy for ease of mind. Well, as of now, about a month old, it was very easy to setup and go. And my speeds have dramatically improved, even during the heavy usage hours. I would typically get 50-75 mbps download speeds and now I can get double to triple that consistently. And so far, there has not been any hiccups. This cable modem does not come with WIFI. I intentionally purchased this without WIFI. Units with WIFI are roughly about $50 more. I would recommend this unit if you are just looking for a high speed cable modem. And just a note, I am a basic user and not an electronics expert.

As a well known Brand , Motorola Modem MB-8611 will not disappoint. As the box says , ultra fast speeds. easy to connect and easy to set up with your ISP. Stop paying monthly fees for a sub par provided equipment that has no brand at all and in the previous times has just given me unnecessary problems. Going to new Gig speeds , this modem will surely future proof you for a long time to come.

If you haven't read about the Intel Puma 6 Defect (search it): My network and internet speeds at home recently started to have massive connection drops when I received a new Hitron Modem from my ISP (used to have an Arris Wi-Fi Combo Router). Whether it be Zoom calls, Gaming or web browsing, my internet connection would drop on random times. I thought all my issues were due to a bad config. It just didn't make sense at all seeing how I've configured networks numerous times without issues. I even upgraded my Wi-Fi router to a more expensive one (Asus AX5400) thinking it was my old Wi-Fi router casing the issues, but the problems came back after a day. I finally ran into an article describing the exact same issues I've been having. Turns out, it was the modem all along. Seeing how my ISP either carris the Hitron or Arris Combo's (both of which have the Intel Puma Defects), I decided to buy my own modem. All my issues have now disappeared and I am finally able to use my expensive gaming router with all of it's capabilities enabled. Makes you wonder why ISP's rent you out defective equipment (to charge you more for a more expensive device maybe?). If you've been having issues with a stable internet connection through a cable provider, it may be a good idea to research and see if the modem you have is defective. Or if you recently upgraded to Wi-Fi 6 and are having a bad connection, you might definitely want to read up more on the Intel Puma Defects. Definitely buy your own equipment and stop relying on the ISP's inferior one's (lesson learned). This motorola modem was easy to install and had no issues after my ISP provisioned it for use. Highly recommend this product!!!

This is the best modem I have used. I have 1200 speed from xfinity and wasn’t getting close to that with my old modem. Once I upgraded to this modem, I got above 1100 download speeds. Haven’t had any problems with this modem. It’s quiet and doesn’t get hot.
