You can’t beat the quality and reliability of Motorola, after finally getting rid of my ISP’s modem I went straight to this. Simple, fast, reliable. I have had no issues at all with this unit. No bells and whistles, it just works perfect.

Excellent modem. This thing is rock solid and is x100 more stable then any equipment XF provides. Ping diviation is under 1ms most of the time. I can fully saturate & sustain my 1.2GB plan (giving 1.4gbps) and it stays cool under load. Honestly a worth wile investment, not even to avoid the fee's but just from a pure performance standpoint. This one is a winner!

Well the modem works with Comcast/Xfinity fine. Under the 2018 firmware provisioned..hopefully the issue with the latest firmware, which had to be pulled, will be fixed someday. Otherwise I can't recommend this modem for Xfinity's new upcoming network with enhanced speeds

It's a modem that does 2.5 - works as it should and is simple - as a router should be. Why pay rental fees for a modem from the ISP that has been tossed around 10 times from house to house. Keep in mind, it's just the modem and not a router as well. Just ensure your ISP will support this model, I assume most do as Spectrum does for a bring your own device scenario.

I subscribe to an ISP that provides me with 1 gig and once I changed out my 3 year old modem for Motorola it was running good until the next day it kept losing the internet. I checked to see if I could update the software for the modem that was updated and I did not see an area in the admin area to access the function. Thought I would wait to see if Motorola would send an update after a could of days of dropping the internet and finally returned for the newest model of the Arris and it’s has not dropped since installing.

The set up was easy. It was particularly helpful to view set up tips on YouTube. It has been working flawlessly and I am totally satisfied with this modem. I paired this with an Orbi mesh 6 router. I got over the fear of cutting the cable and I’m not looking back.

So far so good, I came from a Netgear CM1100 modem with Xfinity service. That modem wasn't able to handle the speeds Xfinity was pushing to me and since they upped the internet speeds, I'm at 1 Gbps. This Motorola MB8611 has handle the speed very well for me. On my Apple TV I checked the speed hardwired this morning and it was 947 mbps on Speedtest. I haven't had any disconnections and the modem has been performing well out the box. I tried to activate the modem on the Xfinity app and it failed, I had to call in and have them do it. My Router setup is the Netgear R7800, with about 37 devices on the router as we speak. My home is about 2200 sq ft two story home with the modem/router on the main floor.

Replace my father's old cable modem with this beast. Nothing worse than having internet provider chisel away at you with their monthly fees for renting their junk. This device is super stable and no issues whatsoever. Make sure to contact your internet provider to easily configure and provision for their services.

Packaging is very protective. Product is of high quality. Excellent installation guide and instructions. Easy to install. Indicator lights (power, download, upload, internet and activity) are easy to see. Separate power button is nice for manual reset/reboot. Works GREAT! Good Value! Best Buy price and availability were excellent!

This modem has made such an improvement with my Comcast internet service. My 15-year-old modem was causing my service to get interrupted and drop off which now does not happen. Great modem! I recommend this unit.

Great modem, easy set up, Remember this is a modem only, you will need to purchase a router for WiFi. My old modem/router combo was 5 years old and could not handle the Xfinity speed increase that I was getting of 400Mbps. I measured and got incresed speed on my laptop from 230 to 296. Iphone 12 went from 93 to 412,,,wow.

This thing has been a tank and exceeded my expectations and would definitely recommend
