Replaced old modem because Xfinity notified me my older model was not capable of my internet speeds. This new modem is not getting me to the top advertised speed yet, but I do see a significant increase over the old modem. Setup was automated and easy. Great modem if you have Xfinity.

Got this for my ex-wife. No connection problems with it so far and no issues whatsoever. With the exception of one model all the other Motorolla modems have been great for me with no issues. Thats from my experience for 3 decades. Yes one model was a lemon but that was years ago. Anyway speeds with this modem have been great. Highly recommend.

Great upgrade, internet is faster and more reliable now. I have mine input from coaxial cable and output to Eero 5 via ethernet.

Easy set up. Works as expected. Connected with TP-Link mesh system. The coverage is excellent for 5000+ square feet.

Every 5 years or so we require an upgrade due to being out of date and support. This was a great price for what it offers.

I've upgraded my internet speed to 1200Mbps and my old modem could only handle 600Mbps. I've replaced my old modem with this one and now getting blazing speed. Even though I am only getting 1G speed because ethernet speed restrictions, I am easily getting 950Mbps on the router end. Modem is compatible with Xfinity and easy to setup. Great upgrade.

It was time to upgrade my modem. It couldn’t have been easier to set up. I just used the xfinity app to register it. I set it up faster than it took to boot up. Very nice! I am thankful to have the addition down streams. I use YouTube TV, Netflix, and Prime video for tv. Many security cameras, cell phone, iPads, and cell phones. I have a separate NetGear router for Wi-Fi.

Good upgrade over my DOCSIS 3.0 modem that I've had for several years. My download speed went up from the 150Mbps range to 550Mbps average with the modem upgrade, and it has been reliable so far. The management page is useful if you like to know the exact operating details of the system, but is honestly not too useful for an average user.

Wanted a supported cable modem for Cox Gigablast speeds. This modem was recommended by Cox and it does not disappoint! Easy setup and works well with my home Velop wireless system. Read the instructions and be patient. Streaming movies and surfing the web is effortless. I think the old modem I was renting was slower! Recommended!

I compared this Motorola SB8611 with the Arris Surfboard S33. I think this is just as good as the S33 or better depending if you an take advantaged to queue organization which this has but not the Arris S33. This also has real indicator lights vs not really in the ARRIS single light indicator. At first this Motorola gave me consistency on high download data rate but then the ARRIS could, too. The bottom line is: both are great and you will be well served with either one.

The main reason why I choose this cable modem was the fact that it can handle internet speed over 2 gig.

Great upgrade from my previous modem. Easy set up once authorized on my internet provider account.

I decided to buy this product thinking it would be compatible if I wanted to upgrade my internet speed in the future. My current speeds are 150mb down and 10mb up. Well come to find out, in San Diego at least, Cox uses fiber for faster speeds and it isn’t compatible with this cable modem. This cable modem works great and was easy to setup, but it is overkill for the speed I’m using it for.
