Don't buy this unit

The network would drop out, then come back a minute later. Very frustrating when watching TV or working on my computer. I replaced it with a Netgear unit that seems to be much better.

Stopped working effectively after 3 months.

Essentially stopped working 3 months to the day that we bought it -- just long enough for us to not be able to return it. We had our Comcast technician come out, and had great service from their -- this router was just completely incapable of doing it's job.

It was great when it worked

It wasn’t the internet service that was the problem. Was probably defective. Exchanged for a netgear.

Cannot handle gig-speed thru Xfinity

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The box says handles up to 1200 gbs but xfinity says this modem can only handle 860 gb, and you will not be able to use gigspeed, which was mywhole reason for purchasing this modem. So be warned if you are getting this modem to use with xfinity.

Died just after passing the warranty period...

Only had the occasional issue that could be solved with a quick power down reset. Now, the whole thing just stopped working without warning. The lights wouldn't even turn on, only a single light on the face lit up. Tried doing a hard reset, which didn't work either. I didn't want to spend the time with support only to have them tell me that it is outside the two year warranty time frame, so I went and bought a new one and a different brand. This modem was steps above the rental one provided by my ISP. But the Netgear modem purchased afterward is leaps and bounds better than this one.
