Just installed two of these devices on my home network. I'm disappointed by the performance, but must say they have a lot of nice touches.
First, the box comes with an ethernet cable, moca filter, small coax cable (maybe 2-3 meters), a manual, a little wrench to move the coax and a power plug. It has a link light for the ethernet and the moca network.
I connected the device upstairs and in my basement where my cable modem/router combo device is located. I did a speed test on two identical devices, one in my family room on ethernet and the other upstairs on moca. The bottom got 942/40 and upstairs got 93/37. That's right, it's 10% the speed of gigabit ethernet. After doing some reading, I replaced the cable company supplied splitter which is rated at 1005mhz with a third party one that is rated 5-2500mhz. It made no improvement in my speed.
It's possible the cable is not great. It was wired 11 years ago when the house was built by the cable company. Even still, many of these things advertise gigabit speeds and it's nowhere near that. it's around the same speed as powerline adapters in my home on similar tests.
The company did a great job with the extras, but it's certainly not gigabit speeds. If it's all you can get, it's better than nothing.

Have been using an Actiontec MOCA adapter for some number of years on Grande cable's aging TiVo equipment. Has worked fine, even if somewhat slow and not great for interconnection. The Actiontec died a number of days ago, so I searched for adapters. Reviews were good online for this 1Gb box, so I used some Reward points, had it shipped, and hooked it up.
Instant MOCA network connection, stable operation. Just wish Grande would upgrade their TiVos to gigabit level equipment!

This make and model installed and worked quickly and was easy, BUT only for 1/2 hr. I connected from Verizon FiOS to my set-top-box (STB) and TV's ethernet input, and it seemed fine at first. When changing to a different TV input, the network was lost. Tried many things including rebooting many times.
Finally called Motorola Tech Support, and the rep had me test many, many possible solutions to no avail. Conclusion from MTS: This model is intended to work with routers, and not a STB and TV network. Had to return for refund; too bad, I really liked it at first.

Some info about my setup. I have two of these.
One is upstairs and connected to an ASUS router. (AC 5300). I split the coax connections that feeds my modem. So coax from wall to splitter. Then coax from splitter to one of these. Ethernet cable from this to router.
Downstairs I have one of these behind the tv using a coax. I have another router (ASUS Ac86u). This is using the mesh connectivity. From this adapter I have the Ethernet cord connecting to the LAN source on the router. (Where you put it if you were connecting a modem.)
Outside I put a MOCA filter between the outside line and the line in the house. Usually found in your cable box outside.
Plugged everything in and it just works. This gives me the option to hardwire my roku to LAN port on my router downstairs. This also gives me a reliable signal that, through the mesh network, uses on network ID and one passcode.
Awesome

These work great for making network connections without WIFI in a home that is wired for cable or antenna signal distribution via coax. No setup needed except to enable MoCa on your router (if it is so equipped). Make sure you use MoCa-compatible splitters in your cables. Likely the original splitters won't work with these.

Near 1G Speed and OTA Signal Over Coax

Worked well and I can confirm that coax can carry both the network and the over-the-air signal from an antenna. Be aware that speed tests may show a speed well below the maximum claimed 1G speed. These units seem to have a low-power mode that doesn't reach the maximum speed until the connection is using a lot of bandwidth. For those of you that are advanced users the free tool iperf3 will show the true maximum speed with the following command:
iperf3 -c 192.168.1.110 -w1M -P20 -n20G
where 192.168.1.110 is the ip address of the iperf3 server in your network

Fixed Wireless Connection Problem

I cut the cable and now use the internet to stream all of my TV shows. One of my TVs was at a distance from my router and would constantly drop the WIFI signal. I was using Apple TV at this location and used the MOCA Network Adapter to get a hardwired ethernet connection through my coaxial cable. It worked perfectly and TV viewing is great. I only had one problem which was caused by my router not being wired correctly for MOCA. The router had a MOCA adapter installed (this is needed for the MOCA to work), but was missing a splitter and back connection from the router.

I was switching to Fios from XFinity. I have my own WiFi router in an upstairs bedroom. I wanted it to remain that way. However the Fios line was coming into the house to a small utility room. Plus. I didn’t want to use a Fios WiFi router. Note: You do not need to purchase or rent a Fios router. I got 2 of these Moca adapters. Just have Verizon setup the Fios ONT (box) to output Ethernet. My flow is: ONT>Ethernet into #1Moca>coax out of #1moca>[existing coax in walls run 25 ft to bedroom]>coax into #2Moca>ethernet out of #2>ethernet into LAN jack of my existing router. Bingo. No setup involved. Mocas setup the communication automatically.
Fios speeds are great.

Really impressive, work great, bought a new house and was wired with coaxial all over the house, but with LAND only in the living and game room, put one on all rooms needed and a switch to connect devices via LAND and works great, not putting that much traffic/overloading the WIFI signal.

Don’t bother with WiFi extenders. They never work or always cut off. This takes your signal from your cox line and converts it an internet connection. Zero issue had so far.

The Moca worked as intended once installed. My only con is that you will need a bit of research on how to install properly. I would recommend to watch some installation videos. Other than that, I had the moca for about a month and had no issues. I am able to watch on demand content on my tv with the cable box, and no connectivity issues when watching content. I have it set up with a Netgear nighthawk router. The price is a bit more than what I would pay for an adaptor but this one seems to be very reliable product.

Good alternative to renetworking your home

Recently cut the cord on cable and switched to a gigabit ethernet. However, rewiring the house with an ethernet network for an old house was going to be challenging. Instead, used these Motorola adapters to setup network points at both ends of the house and use a wifi router. Now the whole house runs at blazing speed from end to end. Motorola adapters were easy to setup and use as well as cheaper than the alternative. Very much recommend this.

Note - My modem had MoCA so I only needed 1. I bought 2 and can use them both or put somewhere else. If your cable modem doesn't have MoCA you would need both. We are using it for my sons gaming machine and he says the delay is better than ever and we did not have to run any new cables or wires.

This unit is great as a low latency connection to the internet. All I needed was a coax cable and I was in business. Note, you will want to check out the speed of the signal splitters upstream of the unit as they could need to be upgraded as mine did.
