Premium look and feel for great price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the screen, best I have used probably ever. 90HZ refresh rate is smooth like butter. Colors and brightness are amazing. Fingerprint sensor under screen is very accurate. Battery gets me close to 2 days. Pretty much running stock android which is awesome! Drawback: Now wireless charging but with fast charging and 4500 mah battery I can live with it. Especially when this phone looks and feels so sharp!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.They got rid of the back plate fingerprint reader which is a downgrade, it is now on the screen and as you can imagine it's not very good for opening the phone like Motorola's previous to it. The curve is kinda a gimmick it looks good though the screen is awesome with 90 hertz refresh rate it's got a great picture. Sound is alright I guess and connects well to Bluetooth. Camera is surprisingly good for Motorola. All in all I'm glad I upgraded from a moto g7 power, and a few Motorolas before that as well. Hopefully this Edge proves to be as reliable and durable as them. They did get this phone right for the most part, it's a shame about the fingerprint reader yet it's been a good phone so far.

Wow! I am speechless!

I got it on Thursday and have not been able to put down the phone since then. This screen is insanely amazing. So clear and colorful, deep blacks, very bright and the edge screen is impressive! This works like my old Pixel 3A so I guess Motorola is using true Android? Fast and 5g service is sweet. It even comes with a free protective case made just for an edge phone. Endless display with no side bezels. And the camera is very solid so far. Very good with the low light.

I don't think the design is smooth or intuitive, and after a period of time things just seem to not work - I couldn't even shut off my phone after a few months because the button just didn't work. I have an endless stream of complaints like that. And I hate Apple phones and Apple in general. But I remembered that the one smart phone I really liked a few years back was a Motorola, so I got this one. AND I LOVE IT. My only complaint is that the keyboard only shows letters, so you have to do another key stroke to display numbers. Then flip back to letters again. That's annoying. But I can get past that. My personal beef with just about everyone these days is user friendliness in design, be it phones or software or equipment. I was a software developer in the 90s when intuitive design was the goal. We took all the classes and really tried. Nobody seemed to take that work ethic forward after we passed the torch. Nowadays the goal seems to be ease of programming for the programmer instead of ease of use for the customer because everything is now designed so you have to "learn" it. Motorola is the only phone maker that seems to understand intuitive design, and they are the only ones I will ever buy a phone from in the future because of this. Except for the numbers-on-a-different screen issue, it's as if they have real designers really designing phones at Motorola, and I appreciate it. All of the other features are fine and I appreciate them as well - design is my Number 1 priority, though (it's ingrained in me and I'm very judgmental), and Motorola is good at it.

Edge- Pink Patch is displayed on the screen

After using for more then 1 month, Pink patch is appearing on the screen, I am also seeing the issue with the Speaker. After spending more then 500$ , I feel it is not worth.

Great phone

Easy to hold fits good in my pocket. Display is bright and sound quality is excellent. I’m easily getting 2 day battery life out of the phone. This is the best phone I have owned in the past 5 years.

Not my favorite

Still trying to figure out if there's something running that I haven't found, that could be draining the battery. It has heated up quite a few times when charging and while using. The picture quality is great, can't fault that.

Great Phone at Amazing Price

It has all the feature i would want in a premium tier phone. The screen is huge and crisp and Moto has been great about pushing out Android updates. I like the unlocked OS that doesn't have a bulky carrier overlay. The down sides: super limited choice in cases and covers, not sure what the deal is there, but there seriously is no quality brand cases, choices are limited to the one provided by Moto with purchase (actually a really nice clear silicon minimal) and cheap amazon cases in the 8-12 dolar range..... Also, typical moto subpar camera software. not sure what this issue is there but taking pictures on any Moto never seems as easy or produce as good of results as my wifes Smasungs

Buyer Beware or Buyer Regret May Follow

I bought it and kept it for a little over a week. No issues with how it worked. It seemed plenty fast and I liked it mostly. I didn't care for or really want the curved edge based on previous experience with the Samsung S7 edge. How I ended up with the 2020 version is a different discussion regarding the best buy store not having the correct edge floor model beside the price tag so I didnt get what I thought I was buying...lesson learned I guess. Make sure what you think you are buying is what you get before taking it home and opening the box. Wish they would open the box at the store so you can verify and not have to deal with a open box return fee. My main issue with this phone and why I ultimately returned it is the very limited protection assesories I could find for it. I searched all the big online retailers and was eventually able to find a case that I wasn't in love with but neveless would have worked, but I was never able to find a tempered glass screen protector for it. I ordered multiple ones that best I could tell and what reviews claimed were for my phone but I struck out. Seems like if the say it works for the edge it's for the 2021 model and not the 2020. If you buy one of the 2020 curved edge phones be aware of this!! Its odd but it seems like Motorola didn't make this design for long before they switched to the 2021 model which interestingly doesn't have the curved edge and again was what I thought I was purchasing.

Faulty screen

I had read the reviews about the screen trouble but in my first week I did okay. Then it began to get the funny edge shading. As the day went on it would start to encompass my entire screen. It was as though the text and graphics were just melting and running down the screen. I couldn't read it and it wouldn't react properly to touch. I reached out to Motorola and they asked if I had received the update. I told them the phone updated automatically when I started it. I asked if they could send me a link to the update, but they had nothing to offer. Sadly I returned the phone.

Excellent Motorola Edge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This 2020 Moto Edge is as good or better than any Edge released since: 5G, Expandable memory, Headphone jack, under display fingerprint reader, very good cameras, solid wi-fi, aluminum frame...as good or better than any newer Edge...BUT Motorola needs to support their phones for more than 2 years!

The screen was showing a borealis effect on the left side and continued to grow. Now I have have the screen flickering. This one is going back and I am looking for another brand.

Kept restarting

I still love the phone, but not sure if buy it again

Good phone ruined by a horrible display

Dead pixels starting to show up with a green hue. None of the software updates have done anything to fix it despite motorola claiming it would be fixed. I'll be returning this for a phone that won't have problems like this in less than a week of owning it

Moto bad business

Started with black spots at the bottom corner, its over. I take care of my phone but this screen issue shouldve had a recall when it came out. End up buying another brand.
