Affordable choice for the sale price.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is really a pleasing choice for the price. There is a learning curve with using it. I am satisfied with this purchase; the sale discount contributed to affordability. It took time to get use to all the nice features. I would buy this phone again if its on sale.

It's....okay. but only if you are VERY careful.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a great phone with an immersive view. I like that it is tall and a bit slimmer than most phones, makes it very easy to hold. I will always love Moto phone short cuts to the flashlight and camera. Downfalls are breakability and ease of repair. You can't use a glass screen protector due to the finger print scanned being on the screen, so you have to use this clear film as a protector, but as you can imagine it's not very ... protective. Even in an expensive hefty case, the phone cracked in the top right corner BARELY after my mom accidentally pushing it off the kitchen counter.. that means it broke from a 3 foot fall onto carpet(fragile in my opinion). I mean unless you stared at it close up with the screen off you couldn't even tell. Yet, this tiny crack caused my ENTIRE screen to mess up. It was turning colors, having constant phantom touches, And would progressively get worse. I had to send it to Motorola to get fixed bc there are NO PARTS for this phone anywhere, and even Motorola certified cellphone repair facilities either didn't want to touch the curved screen, or couldn't find parts (even aftermarket). Cherry on top, was even Moto charged me almost $500, and that's $100 shy of what I actually PAID for the phone. The back camera and macro camera are lovely and catch very fine details, but the selfie camera looks like the camera in a Nintendo DS lol....I do love the design, in hand feel, Moto shortcuts, and immersive view the curved edges create, but I wouldn't recommend this phone due to breakability, inaccessible/crazy expensive repairs, inability to use a glass screen protector, lack of case options that you must buy online since no store carries them, I feel the only truly redeeming quality of this phone is the fact it's a Moto (but doesn't live up to the durability and ease of repair I'm used to with Moto phones).

Touch operation
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shape and hardware is perfect. This new Android or Motorola (?) Design on the touch ... was bad on navigation. It's same operation for different results. I got lost my page on the right then trying to move my fingers on screen from Right to center then it's showing a return function. How do Motorola designers answers???

Great Phone!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've got a bunch of premium phones but I must say I really like this one. It's a little longer than a Samsung Galaxy 10 but for watching videos or readings ita actually a better shape. I like it. I got a great deal on this phone since it was an open box. I live it.

I can't decide if the phone or bestbuy is worse
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They didn't have it on display in the store but I was impressed with the camera and speed of the lower end moto phone they did have. So I figured this one had to be better. I have been happy with the last 3 phones I have had that were all Motorola's. And I have never had any issues exempt just getting out of date and not having enough memory to keep up with android updates and my apps. Either way I was expecting something amazing and what came was crap. It was quick but I didn't care for the edges of the display and I couldn't get it to take a decent picture for the life of me. The camera was one of the biggest reason I choose that one. I played with the settings and even reset the phone hoping something would fix it. But side by side my wifes pixel 3axl and my daughters galaxy s7 both took much better pictures. I called bestbuys customer service and they told me it must be defective. I agree. There is no way anyone would pay that much and be ok with the crap pictures it took. But either way they emailed me a return label. Even though they said it was defective they still charged me the restocking fee. I will never buy a phone from best buy again. Even now if you look at the price for the open box phones they sell the price is more than the new phone and the restocking fee. So the are ripping people off charging the fee and then not discounting them by at least that much. If I would have bought it from Motorola directly it would have been 20 bucks less and they don't charge a fee to return it.

Lasted a year
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a little late but here goes. It took a long time to get used to the phone because of the edges being curved and active. Once I did get used to it I loved it. I broke the screen and had replace it after a little over a year.

Poor manufacturing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Power button doesn't work properly, it sends a black line down the screen but doesn't turn the phone off about 70% of the time, also can't do screenshots with it since it malfunctions. Before this started it kept triggering the Google assistant, and not it won't trigger at all. It began right after the return period ended FFS. There were also a lot of complaints about the screen being defective but so far mine is okay. Moto needs better manufacturing.

Mostly good experience
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My best phone ever. However had to put phone in safe mode to modify app permissions. No customer service attempts were helpful. Made several long internet searches to finally figure out. When asked location permission could not select anything. None of software updates worked either.

Everything has been flawless for me
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone has been amazing for me. I've had it for a week now and I have no issues. The form factor I think is perfect. I've been playing console games remotely on it and I love it. The speakers are amazing, better than even the king, the iPhone. I'm so glad a company finally decided to upgrade the speakers. As for the curved screen, it can be annoying with accidental presses. But it has a really nice feature to disable the large curve for applications. I only need the full screen for video or video games. Everything else, I turn it off and it works perfectly. I haven't had any screen issues. I've been using it in a clamp on a controller and it hasn't affected the screen at all. I'm not getting that green tint that other users show. Performance is super fast, battery is impressive, I have no real complaints about the phone. Seems like it compares directly to a $1,000 flagship phone.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good phone. Just that the keyboard is little low and the interface takes some getting used to after using Samsung for many years. Battery is good but camera sometimes freezes after a day of taking a lot of pictures.

Good phone, but.....
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very capable phone. Love the phone, at least for the week I had it. Fast, smooth, nice screen. But, a week in, the screen started to act up. Screen burn in on the edges and green tint. Then the bottom half of the screen started to flash. Returned it.

Great phone and tremendous value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great phone Edge screen was not for me I thought it was an excellent value Some things I was used to on my OnePlus was not there and I needed those things for my business, so I went back to OnePlus... Then I found out Android 11 took those things away, not Motorola.
