Too much, too complicated!!

Being a senior citizen, I had no clue which to buy. I was totally dependent on the sales person at BestBuy, who was not very informative! His suggestion was, "Yeah, it's a good phone, I mean it's the latest." I hate it because it has so many features, and signing into stuff that makes things complicated for me! I so miss my old phone! I wish the powers that be did not make it obsolete! I can't find the clock, delete, and the volume for the alarm and ring is too low, even though I put it up to the highest point! I wish someone could walk me through the basics of this phone! Right now I do what I can with it!!!
