For now there have just been a few problems connecting the SIM card causing service issues but I can’t say that it’s the phone or a T-Mobile issue. The fingerprint reader is not as consistent as an iPhone. I do like the speaker sound and volume. Use to be an IOS user but not paying 1200 for a cell. Time to switch to android.

Better than expected under $200

Do not buy open box smartphones from Best Buy

It’s obvious they don’t test them for basic functionality. If you do please make sure it’s not locked by a PIN by previous owner. I purchased an unlocked open box 2024 Moto G 5G and sent it a gift. The recipient just turned on the device and notified me that is is locked with a PIN. I contacted support and was informed the only way to get the PIN removed is by going to a store. The recipient lives 4.5 hours away by plane and I’m going to ask her to ship it to me; we may as well purchase a new phone. Since this was purchased as a present I was not notified of the issue until after return deadline has passed. Skip the hassle and buy brand new instead.

They threw the box to where the phone box came out of the massive box that it was in. Terrible delivery service. If it were raining - we wouldn’t have a working phone.

Motorola G 5G 128GBS 2024 imaginary

But to this day, they still haven't. I had to file a dispute with the bank and I'm still waiting. If the bank doesn't help me more, BestBuy will have practically stolen my money. Don't buy anything. It's a very unreliable store and doesn't deliver what it promises. Don't make the mistake I made and spend your money on an empty cardboard box! You shouldn't risk losing almost $140 like I did. Now I'm dependent on a dispute with the bank and the uncertainty of whether the bank can help me get my money back. Don't shop at this store!...

Great Phone

This phone has a lot of very nice features for the bargain price. The screen resolution and camera are both excellent. The back is coated with a silicone like texture that makes it more secure in my hand. It has plenty of storage for my use and there is the option to add a mini SD card, which is where I store photos. I choose Motorola for how long they last and because they aren't as fragile as most. It doesn't matter what features a phone has if it is going to fail after being bumped around a bit. These can take normal use and hold up for years.

Mid Phone, only good on sale for basic use

I didn't have a choice, needed something cheap and it was on sale. I will say I like the outershell though. Functions fine as a phone but heaven forbid you want to listen to music and open Google maps, one of those will probably crash. It can't run Spotify and open the McDonald's app at the same time unless it's a good day. Good for basic use like calls or texting or one app at a time. Terrible for anything even slightly more involved, like switching between web browsing to an app like Door Dash or maps. Very low RAM so do keep this in mind. Camera is decent enough for the price though. Nice colors, a touch low on detail but still nice for the price point. It's a bit slow on even simple games (I don't do a ton of gaming but I have one or two and they run but I can't switch out without the game closing). Battery life is about par. I don't usually have issues getting through the day but it will be depleted by the days end with moderate use, such as occasional games, maps, watching a movie, etc.

My previous cell phone (also Motorola) did not have these features, while the service provider (foreign) stopped supporting all other connection methods while roaming in the US. After an extensive search I found that moto g 5G (2024) is the cheapest solution to my problem, and it worked just fine! I am also impressed with other features, although I do not use them much because this is not my primary cell phone. The screen quality of this moto g 5G phone is significantly better than that of Samsung G10 (2020), which is my primary phone.
