Decent Budget Phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to this phone from a Moto G Power (2020). It does feel a bit quicker, but it has more RAM than the other. Not a huge fan of certain UI elements of Android 12 though (lock screen clock is awful and you can't change it). This phone has only one speaker, which is on the bottom of the phone. My Moto G Power had two speakers (one at bottom and one at top) and it sounded much better for this. Due to this, this phone never feels loud enough and it's easy to block that speaker if you're holding the phone. The fingerprint reader on this phone is also on the power button, which doesn't feel as responsive as the one that was on the back of my old phone. It took some getting used to, so overall it's not too bad. Overall, the Moto G 5G isn't a bad phone for the price point. Motorola still keeps a pretty stock Android experience and they have their Moto Actions which are nice (like double chop motion to turn on flashlight). Motorola is not good at security updates though, and you only get one major OS update. This phone does have three years of security update support though at least. Display is still LCD, so no OLED at this price, but honestly it looks good to me. Also battery is good, and I get two days out of it. I've had several Moto phones with the 5amp batteries and I can't see myself ever having anything smaller.

Good phone overall

Phone good, customer service bad

There were no instructions from anyone in the store. It was a "Here, you bought it, now leave" type of situation.
