Good Phone for the Price

We were pleasantly surprised at how good it performed so much so that we ended up buying another one to give to our uncle who lives there.

Alarming issue with the phone's battery!

The screen is responsive, large display makes it easy to play, and picks up my wifi signals just fine. However, after about a year the phone or more specifically the battery seems to be warping or bending. I noticed a small bulge on the back of the phone, it gradually gets larger and larger over a period of several weeks. While I noticed no negative performance of the phone, it is kind of alarming to see this as the bulge starts warping the phone case itself. I asked an engineering friend about this and he believes the battery is oxidizing and the phone should be discarded or recycled. I do not abuse or drop this phone, make sure it's always charged, even have a case for it but I find it disappointing the battery is of such poor quality. I researched this and it seems to be a somewhat common occurrence on this Motorola. I get this is a budget economy phone, works great at first but I expected better, buyer beware!
