Customers are saying
Customers appreciate the Moto G Plus (5th Gen) for its affordability, especially during the holiday season. They are also impressed with the camera quality and the excellent battery life. The phone's storage capacity and unlocked status are also well-received. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the lack of NFC, which limits the use of Android Pay, and the speaker volume, which they find inadequate.

only suitable to minimal use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I don't feel this phone is nearly as good as it should have been. I am not comparing it to flagship devices either. It locks up routinely and most widgets on the home screen stop working after a period of time. I have to delete the widget and then replace it for me to get it to work again. Most functions that I have had little trouble with on other phones such as using Audible and Google Music etc either fail to start or stop after a number of minutes for no apparent reason. Not a good buy at any price.

Posted .Hi Donald,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about this report. We can try troubleshooting your device though. Can you check if the same thing happens while in safe mode? To boot into Safe mode, press the physical power key, touch and hold Power off, touch OK when Reboot to Safe mode appears. If it works fine while in Safe mode, then it's possible that an app is causing it. Try removing some recently downloaded apps and see if it helps.

Good while it lasted
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this cell phone for my mom, she takes care of her devices a lot. There were no drops or anything like that and it stopped working after 8 months or so but my mom never told me and by the time she did, the 1-year manufacturing warranty had passed, I was very disappointed. The camera was great and the 64GB for my mom was amazing, I am just mad it did not last that long. She has a Galaxy now and she has had it for over a year now.

Very Disappointed so far!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To date I have problems with Bluetooth connections in vehicles - my old Samsung hooked up automatically in my truck over and over, Moto G won't do that! The Moto G won't download pictures sent in text messages! It just grinds away saying "Downloading" but nothing appears! It doesn't like Messenger but keeps wanting to use its Messages app! I like to use my smartphone for online orders, and have not had good success using PayPal with this phone. It seems like it doesn't interface data with Paypal... ! Have ended up with some duplicate orders (never happened with my Samsung)! One other minor point, my hearing aid manufacturer came out with an app to control my hearing aids with a smartphone! This worked seamlessly with my Samsung, won't work at all with the Moto G! Spent an hour with dealer's hearing aid tech on phone with hearing aid app specialist and found the Moto G phone doesn't provide the high frequency signals the hearing aids work on! So considering all these things, I have just talked myself into ordering a new phone from a service provider now that they are selling them! That will give me one place to go for phone and service provider support issues!

Wouldn't buy it again.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The volume is to low on it. Camera takes awful pictures. But it is a tough phone, I have dropped mine on pavement, rocks, and a few other places . It is still in one piece and not a scratch. And I don't have a case or screen cover. That's the best part about it.

Good, but it is not enough
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cons: it is nothing reliable, WiFi and signal go out/off too often. I bought it for Uber and Lift driving, but the GPS, even with Location on/High accuracy setting, goes down all the time. In addition, Best Buy offers only 15 days return policy, too short to evaluate this kind of device. Pros: price, touch fingerprint sensor, Android 7.0 with thousand of applications, nice camera .

Just dont
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is nowhere near as good as even a samsung 5. Its only redeeming factor is 64gig and it holds a memory card. Buy a samsung galaxy.

Good but it is not enough
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cons: Lost signal very fast and in continue way. I bought it for Uber and Lift, working with my iPad at the same time with AT&T plan. iPad rarely lost signal, but this Moto G5 lost signal often in the middle of my work! oh may! In addition, maps and similar applications have not room to run properly Pros: Price, fast, memory, and last Nougat system. I am loving Android applications

Poor Camera, but great phone!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is great except for the camera shutter speed. It would take great photos but, only if you or the object were still, which usually isnt the case. Its very snappy responsive device, works great for my social media needs! The adroid skin is simple which I like a lot.

Poor Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Phone functionality itself was decent, with some lagging based on its RAM, but the camera....that's a deal breaker. Low light or, more specific, ballet recital, lighting provides abysmal pictures. For a "dual lens" 12MP camera, this does not work well.

Posted .Hi Marge, sorry to hear this. If you are trying to transfer contacts, calendar, videos and pictures from an old android device to your G5 Plus, you may sync the Google account on your old device then use the same Google/Gmail account to set up your G5 Plus, once it syncs you will see your files on the new phone. If there's anything else we can do to help, please email us at [email protected]. Thanks -Erwin

Posted .Hi Stupid, we are sorry to hear that you are having difficulty on your device. We know this is troublesome, but let me help. Can you tell us more about it? We want to check it further. Meanwhile, for the slow performance issue, sometimes caused by too many running apps in the background, use your recent apps button to close apps you are no longer using. You may also need to check your internal memory, When the internal memory of the phone is full or almost full, you may experience a sluggish user interface, latency when switching menus, or in some cases the display freezing or reboot which is already happening on the device. It is also a good practice to restart the device periodically (at least every 48 hours) to clear out buffers and memory that may lead to intermittent issues. You can also try to boot the device in Safe Mode and observe. To boot into Safe mode, press the physical power key, touch and hold Power off, touch OK when Reboot to Safe mode appears. If it works fine while in Safe modes, then it's possible that a 3rd party app is a culprit. Try removing some recently downloaded apps and see if it helps. Let me know how it goes by sending us an email to [email protected]. -Jhei
