All software updates end in January 2023

Just take a moment to look at when the software updates plan to end (from the official Motorola Support site) The phone is literally on store shelves right now. If you buy this phone, don't expect to receive any software updates of any kind beginning January 2023. That is NEXT MONTH. Not even basic security updates which I think most people assume they will be getting after the purchase of a phone. Truly mind boggling that this is being sold right now. No wonder it is 50% off right now. If you need a cheap android phone for some other purpose, perhaps for a secondary number for just calls and text which is why I bought it, then sure this might make sense for you. Not for a primary device. Battery life is actually incredible. With light use, this phone will last for days and days without needing to be charged. This is the only thing positive with this phone.

For the price it's a nice phone. Easily powerful enough for a basic user. The 2021 version is tall. I have big hands, and it's a streeeetch to get to that top corner (where they are still putting a lot of controls, menu's, est... c'mon app writers...bottom corners matter too!) The battery is good. With light/minimal usage I get 3 days. Medium usage 2 days, but with very heavy usage I am down to around 30% by bedtime. Still pretty good. No Gorilla glass. This means it will break and scratch easier, so a good case and screen protector are in order. Also, regular glass seems to smudge/smear a lot more than Gorilla glass. I am a fan of Gorilla glass, even though I have manages to scratch it with car keys in my pocket. But that's my fault. A few random lock ups here and there. Not horrible, but a bit annoying. I also believe that the signal strength/LTE indicators lag behind what is actually happening...i.e., shows signal, but when you try to open a website, or make a call, it won't happen. The Pixel2 XL I have is quick and accurate about the signal/strength. Maps wouldn't work one time and had to reboot. Text messages wouldn't send, had to reboot. I've only had it about 12 days, so maybe it will get better... maybe it will get worse, don't know. The camera is fine in good lighting. It's low lighting where the comparison against nicer/higher end phones starts to really show. Also blurry if movement while taking a photo. My Pixel 2XL would snap a pic out the window of a car doing 70 and get a great shot. Not so much with this phone (so far). Overall, if you want a nice phone in this price range, you can't beat it. Knocking off a star for the random lockups (just a couple so far) and no Android 11 update available yet (comes with 10 still). Surprising for a 2021 phone. They promise it's coming, pending Google approval...which who knows when that will be. Google wants to sell their phones too, sooo... It is receiving security updates though, so that's a good thing. I would recommend to anyone who wants to keep the budget down, likes a tall/larger phone.

I absolutely love this Motorola Moto G Power phone. Previously I had a flip phone and this phone was so easy to maneuver around. The power on it is awesome. I have never run out of power yet. I do put it on the charger every night when I go to bed but even after it being off charger & used all day/night I don't think it's ever gone below 30% and then when I do charge it, it charges very quickly. It also was super easy to take this unlocked phone to Tmobile and they hooked it all up to my number and transferred everything from my old phone onto this one. I really like this phone - no complaints.

Let me start by saying this is the first Motorola smart phone I've ever owned, as I've generally owned Samsung products. My previous phone was the LG G6, which I loved, but it finally went completely whacko, so we had to part ways. I'm not very tech savvy, and it takes me a while to learn new things, so it was a little intimidating to leave behind my Samsungs. My daughter already owns the Moto Stylus, and assured me I'd be fine. I activated the Moto G Power 24 hours ago, but I've already gotten some screen time to be able to post this. On to specifics. I started out yesterday with a full charge. Except for sleep and doing my daytime job for 5 hours, I've been using it pretty much nonstop. I haven't charged it and I am only down to 46%, so the battery is already better than I'm used to. This also has other features I wasn't familiar with, but are kind of nice to have. The easiest things I was able to figure out on my own (yay me!), and the harder things my daughter was able to talk me through. It's also bigger than my previous phones, but the more powerful battery can account for part of that. The body is plastic, which I feel helps to keep the weight down. Even for its size, it's easy to handle. And having the power button/fingerprint sensor on the side makes it convenient. I haven't taken very many pictures yet, but the few I've taken are pretty good. Not like pro cameras you'd spend hundreds of dollars on, but since they're being taken with a phone, they hold up pretty well. The screen is large, making it easy to see things well. However, the only complaint I have is that the clarity could be better. My LG G6 was smaller, but had a fantastic viewing experience. This Motorola is really good, but not great. That being said, I don't do a large amount of watching TV or movies on my phone, so I'm okay with it. All in all, it's not a high-end model, but for the price, it's really decent and already fun. I'm glad I made the switch and joined the Motorola family.

Great cell phone with the monster battery and the nice display. Good not to have to charge it but every 3rd day. The camera options are awesome. Although I have not taken pictures yet, I expect they will be outstanding. It would be nice to have a Users Manual supplement just for the cameras because they are so advanced and more complex than the average cell phone camera. Also, compliments to Motorola for offering the G Force phones at very competitive prices!! (We bought two Gs, one for me and one for my wife.) One minor complaint: it is difficult to know when one has answered a phone call because the screen goes black so it is difficult to figure out if the phone call is still ongoing or if I accidentally hanged up on it. Most other phones maintain a live icon for an ongoing call.

Pros: Fast response; large screen; loud speaker with a little actual bass. Cons: A little thick and heavy (but that's how the phone can last 2 days of moderate to heavy use without a charge). Some features missing (NFC and wireless charging, but allowable for price point). The Moto G Power 2021 does not have all the bells & whistles of the flagship Apple or Samsung or even Motorola, but at quarter the price, about $250, it is an excellent phone. The screen is large and has great clarity. For a cell phone, the speaker is loud and clear enough to listen to while taking a shower without the need for a bluetooth speaker; it is water resistant enough for a bathtub or shower, no problem. The phone's responsse is quick. The best thing is that with this new upgrade for me from my previous Moto G5 Plus, which lagged ever so much in its later days (still working but had to upgrade), the GPS works ever so quick - no more corrected directions 5 seconds after I miss the turn, now the adjustment is almost immediate. The battery is large and will actually last 24 to 36 hours of moderate to heavy use - web surfing, app suage, GPS usage and listening to music, alternating almost continuously.

My previous phones always had the bare minimum specs so this is an upgrade for me. To start, the battery lasts two days easy. Next the 4GB of RAM means my programs don't freeze up. Add in 64GB of ROM and a slot for memory expansion and you get plenty of storage. Finally, the camera takes pretty decent pictures. $200 for iPhone like specs? I'll take it!

It's a good phone. Takes a little getting used to considering that you use swiping gestures to get out of APPs instead of widgets but overall it's a solid phone. I'm skeptical as to whether or not this phone actually has an up to 48 mega pixel camera considering the quality of the images but otherwise. For the increased screen size, and 64 GB's of space that it offers, it just about ensures I'll never need an SD card again for extra storage space. I've never spent this much on a phone before, but considering it's waterproof, has 4 GB of ram along with 64 GB of space, and a long life battery, it's a solid upgrade from my previous smart phone. I always bought the cheapest smart phones I could get purely because I break things easily. I found a $20 waterproof case, to ensure this phone is truly waterproof. It's a bit heavier than I would have wanted, but still a reasonably priced phone with decent specs. I recommend

This phone does everything I need at a very reasonable price. Extra ram and micro SD card options for memory storage. Longer battery life between charges, Great photo/video features. Strong phone and wifi quality. Fits easily in my hand and pocket. Paying so much for a premium priced phone -- does the price vs. your needs justify the extra (often significant) expense? This phone replaced a dependable Motorola phone used almost 4 years. Best Buy price very competative, but 1 star lost for total lack of help and the high price charged if I activated/set up phone by the Geek Squad. I took phone to Verizon store and did everything for free. I bought online with pick up at store - quick and easy.

Before cell phones and smartphones there was radios that were used for communications. The best radios for communications anywhere i.e. fire departments, police departments, utilities, airports etc. Was Motorola. This is the best phone for the price and you will not be disappointed. It's better than any $800 / $1000 phone. The camera is great also.
