Good budget phone

Nor is low light no matter you adjust it .. used a secondary photo app to take pictures because at a certain point the one that is loaded on the phone will shut off if battery is low. Thought Ild use the stylis but don't so can't review on it. $200 budget phone has lasted me a good long while although after you run out of memory it tends to get glitchy and apps won't respond. But I do take alot of nature photos so that is expected. Only major issue I have had since day one is that I got SD card and it will say "format and" then randomly says it's "unsupported" then it will say transfer photos then erase all my files I transferred.... So not sure if it's a software issues or not because it done it since day one .

The performance is sluggish—apps take forever to open, and the phone frequently freezes, even during basic tasks like texting or browsing. The design is decent, and the battery life is okay, but the constant lag makes it hard to enjoy any of its features. Definitely not worth the price.

So when I was about to go on vacation, I decided to upgrade to the 2023 version with little research or trepidation. Unfortunately, over the next two weeks, I found a smart phone that had increased its bloatware, sported a very different customized Android O/S, and most important, seemed riddled with inexcusable downgrades and bugs. For example: The screen keyboard (displayed by the default gboard app) was weirdly shrunken to provide margins where gif buttons and clipboard retrieval functions could reside. I found those things unnecessary but forgiveable, except that at well over a dozen attempts to type on my phone, the gboard failed to display any keyboard at all. I usually had to rapidly turn my phone 90 degrees, to force it to change its orientation a couple of times, for a keyboard to display. As you can imagine, not an optimal situation, when you're trying to use your phone to find and navigate to vacation spots when driving in unfamiliar cities. Also, on at least four occasions (remember, this is over a two week vacation period), the phone's touch screen stopped working altogether. Even after using the power button to put it sleep and wake it back up. This meant I couldn't even use a numeric code to log into the phone. On two of those four instances, I could use the fingerprint reader to log me in, and after that, the touch screen regained functionality. But those other two times, I had to actually perform a hard off/on before I regained my touchscreen. There were other smaller annoyances, but these were the main drivers that led me to return this phone. I exchanged it and a little more for new RAZR, which I'm happy to say has met and exceeded my expectations.
