Had the older Moto G Stylus 2020. After doing a lot of research, I decided to stay with Motorola. Glad I did! Everything is upgraded. Better reception, camera, battery, screen resolution, memory, and processor speed.

Upgraded from the non 5G Moto g stylus 2021. Experience has been fairly flawless. Adaptive display has been nice, bigger battery has been pretty good so far. The 6 gigs of RAM and the Snapdragon 6 gen 1 processor has allowed this thing to run pretty well considering the price tag. Stylus experience is much more refined than the previous phone I had. Switching everything over from my old phone was very easy. I use TracFone and getting that set up was essentially flawless. Overall a very great phone experience so far.

I bought this because it was a reasonably priced unlocked phone. I had an earlier generation moto g stylus which did not survive an immersion in the swimming pool. The biggest attraction for me is the 256 gigs of storage (plus you can add more). Improvements over my previous phone include a faster processor, NFC communications (no charging though), and 5G. It also seems to have a very good battery life. One downside is that it is less popular, and I've run into a couple apps that refuse to run unless it's a Samsung or Apple. All in all it seems to deliver a lot of bang for the buck.

A solid mid-range phone with adequate performance, an easy-access yet satisfyingly clicky and secure stylus, and plenty of internal storage space. (5G, 250 gig model) My first complaint is the battery life. It was advertised somewhere as "2-day" but I'm a power user, watch a lot of video, use drawing apps frequently, and I find it only lasts about 1 full day. If you're like me and okay with charging nightly though, it's not too bad. 2nd complaint is stylus size. I'm a big guy and the phone itself fills my hands pretty well, but my drawing and writing hand can get kinda sore if I use the built-in stylus for extended periods. I still think the stylus is good quality, and the clicky top makes for a decent fidget. I'm especially fond of the gesture controls (simply shaking the phone the right way) for quick and easy access to the flashlight, camera, and other features. I like the fingerprint unlock and the face unlock has also worked pretty well for me. Phone has a distinct "shiny matte" finish back which I think is quite sleek looking, and after riding around caseless in my pocket for a few months with my keys and wallet only has some slight wearing away on the back, very minor scratching on the screen edges and camera bump. No big complaints about the rear cameras. I'm not huge on the hole punch selfie camera in the otherwise great screen, but it's done well enough for video calls and is mostly unobtrusive. Overall I'd feel pretty comfortable recommending this phone to users who want a stylus for phone drawing and/or note-taking. Solid 4/5.

Got this phone for my teenage daughter and she loves it! The camera quality is wonderful and the battery lasts a long time. The big screen size is nice and it’s very user-friendly.

Better price than T-Mobile was offering. Not by a lot, but enough to make it worthwhile. The phone is typical Motorola Moto with a little less bloatware than locked phones. Motorola's version of Android isn't as slick as Samsung's and lacks some of the things I had grown accustomed to in my Galaxy A12. Most annoying is the minimal set of ringtones and other sounds. I didn't count, but I think there are less than a dozen ringtones and most of them are useless for that purpose. The loudest one is ironically named "Soft." I'm having trouble with the touchscreen operation that may be hardware or software. Sometimes the screen will not respond at all for tens of seconds. It's almost always in Google Maps, which is why it could be software. Facebook won't rotate on the screen, but all other apps will. That also points to software incompatibility or pushing the hardware too close to its limits. I haven't decided whether to make a warranty claim on this. Overall, it's a good price for 256GB and I don't regret the purchase, but it falls well short of excellent.

Very happy with the easy of use and great features! Bought this unlocked phone in USA to use in Zambia and I have not been disappointed. Very good picture quality and battery life. Very decent phone if you are looking for a reliable and great features.

Moved from a few year old Moto G Stylus to the new one. Definitely faster, more onboard memory, 5G is great when I'm in town. Size/shape fits all my usual pockets and places. Different lock mechanism for the stylus, we'll see how it holds up. Overall easy transition to better equipment

Motorola 5g phone comes with a stylus. Pretty neat. This phone has plenty of storage space and a good size screen.

I'll be honest, I bought this phone because my Samsung Flip 5 broke after only 2 months of use. I wasn't expecting a whole lot from it due to the low price. I was pleasantly surprised at what a good phone it is. The screen is large and vibrant. The expandable memory is nice option. I don't like Google photos being hooked to the camera and getting it to connect to my Square reader is an issue I haven't figured out yet. The price, large memory, stylus and nice screen size make it a wonderful deal. I personally think the photos I've taken with it are better quality than the ones I've taken with my new Flip 5. Samsung finally fixed my Flip 5 but I think I'm going to keep using the Moto.

First impressions (about 4 weeks of use), it is a great phone, nice upgrade from my previous Motorola G7. Better network coverage with 5G, has better connectivity with WiFi. Not much bloatware, and you can remove some of the installed Apps. Will see how this one holds up in daily use, my older G5 is still working good, to compare. Note: The first unit I got had issues connecting to WiFi, took it back to Best Buy store and they were very helpful in swapping out with another new one.

I’ve been using the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) for a year now, and overall, it’s a solid phone with some notable strengths and a few weaknesses. What I Like: Screen: The display is excellent—vivid and bright, making it enjoyable for watching videos, browsing, and general use. Storage: With 256GB of storage, I never had to worry about running out of space for apps, photos, and files. What I Didn’t Use: Stylus: Despite being a standout feature of this model, I found myself never really needing the stylus. It’s a nice-to-have for those who would use it, but it wasn’t essential for me. What Could Be Better: Performance: The biggest downside is the sluggish performance. The phone often feels underpowered, especially when multitasking or using more demanding apps. A better CPU would have made this device much more enjoyable to use. SIM options: The phone only supports a single SIM, which is a limitation. Having dual SIM capability would make it more versatile for users who juggle personal and work numbers or travel frequently. Overall Verdict: If you’re looking for a phone with a great screen and ample storage at an affordable price, this is a good option. However, if performance or dual SIM support is a priority for you, the Moto G Stylus 5G might not be the best fit. For casual users, it does the job well, but power users might find it lacking.

I bought a Moto G Power 2020 during the initial Covid lockdowns, and it blew me away. The battery life was absolutely nuts out of the box - sometimes I could go three days without charging it with moderate use. It was fast, intuitive, economically priced. It checked all the boxes I was looking for. Fast forward to Black Friday 2023. The old G Power 2020 is still kicking but starting to show its age. The battery life has dwindled significantly (maybe eighteen hours with light use), it's slow and unresponsive at times. Bluetooth can be finicky. So I thought, I'll get the latest budget Moto. And since friends had been urging me to upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy Note, I decided to go with Motorola's equivalent. Needless to say, I was immediately disappointed. The diference in speed was significant but not enough to win me over. The battery life was *worse* out of the box. I was charging it before the night of setup was over. Some apps carried over from my old phone would not let me login through Facebook, sticking me in an obnoxious login loop that I could not figure out how to escape despite hours of troubleshooting. Not to mention the amount of bloatware installed by default, and the ugly new organization system Moto is trying to use for apps. This is probably personal preference, but I'm not a fan of the stylus position or method of removal either. I use my phone to control music while driving, and I leave it charger port side down in the cupholder. When placing my new phone down the same way, the stylus would sometimes press in and disconnect. This causes a gesture shortcut popup onscreen that can't be removed or disabled until the stylus is put back in place. I could see the potential for disaster when the stylus got lost down the line. So I returned the Stylus 5G and went back to my old G Power 2020. And honestly I missed it in the short time I spent with this phone, and I don't regret it. So if you're looking to upgrade in a similar situation, maybe look elsewhere.

Loving this new phone so far!!! I still need to figure out how all of it works, but it is much faster than my old phone, which I was VERY hesitant to stray from as I LOV my LG brand phones... But, obviously I couldn't upgrade to another LG after having had all 3 of the Xpression line, but the past year or 2 had been very difficult because I never had any storage on the old phone, having only been 32gb, and with this Motorola G Stylus 5G, I have 256 gb!!! I know, still not the best, but definitely a step up from 32!!! Once I get used to it and get everything figured out on it, I'm sure I will love it even more!!! Great price too!!!

Good value for the price. Like: long lasting, fast charging battery. Good size and sound. Usually good picture quality, including photos, except for color correction feature. Colors on home screen sometimes not true, too difficult to find and correct colors. Menus in settings difficult to navigate. For example all display settings and corrections, including color correction should be under one clear topic. I do not like having to hold down audio button along with power button when I want to turn off or restart the phone. I don't need the stylus, bought this model for the quality and 256GB. I also like color option other than black or dark grey making it easier to find in dark spaces. This is a good low cost, good quality option for those of us on a limited budget.
