This is the type of smartphone that I needed. I purchased the Moto G power (2022) thinking this was a phone I could use for a while. But upon further usage, I didn’t like this phone. The MediaTek Helio G37 processor wasn’t great. Opening apps seemed so slow. Now with the Moto G Stylus 5G I purchased, believe this is the best phone I ever had. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6375 processor along with 8GB memory 120Hz refresh rate makes this phone pretty fast. It not only has 256GB internal storage, a 256GB microSD card is included. It has NFC. I can us the 5G network if I wanted to. Not bad for a $300 smartphone. I’m going to always love the fact that Motorola smartphones have FM radio you can listen to w/o using internet or your data. I’m glad this phone has a headphone jack. I’m trying to get used to using the stylus and Android 12. Battery life is pretty good (2 days) though it’s not like the Moto G power phones (2020 & 2022) that lasted for over 3 days. Iknow this phone won’t get too many updates (I think 2?), but I’m not going to go looking for another phone anytime soon. I think I’ll hang on to this one as long as it’s still functioning properly.

Bought as a secondary phone for work, works well for that. Stylus is effective for signatures, and some occasional doodling. Standby battery life is impressive. However, when in use, it's quite easy to wipe a full charge out in a day. The Moto features are intrusive and aggravating if you want a simple setup without a ton of spying done on you by the your phone. I spent quite a bit of time deactivating and deleting apps, and turning off settings that I will never use or want. It's not super snappy, but it is functional and plenty capable of doing most everything one would expect a phone to do, aside from graphic intensive things. 256GB of internal storage is great, and it even came with a 256GB microSD card pre-installed! 512GB of storage at this price is unheard of. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a midrange smart phone that doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg for a 4 year old iPhone or Galaxy.

After researching online for about a month I decided to give this phone a try. 2 weeks in and I couldn't be happier... Great phone!! 256 gb storage is awesome with enough space to download tons of pics,videos,whatever.. 5G was a must for me and my coverage is great.. I'm using the facial recognition for additional security and it works flawlessly.. the phone is fast, beautifully designed, and the size is perfect... Camera quality wasn't a huge deciding factor for me, but it's good enough to take some pretty incredible shots.. 2 things I really wanted were a headphones jack and dual speakers and this has both.. sound is awesome!!! Lastly, the battery is great and has a rapid charge.. for 349.95, this phone has (in my opinion) the most value for your money.. would definitely recommend...

Comes with lots of built in storage AND a micro SD card! cons - no wireless charging, not water-resistant. Does not come with a ton of bloatware, runs smoothly. I only wish there was some app somewhere that would migrate a phone "entirely". As is with google and other migration tools you have to login to everything on the new phone...

It's all relative to what type of phone one is coming from to get here. My job needs sped up an already increasing need to move on from my maxed out and ailing 2016 Samsung On5. This Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) is much faster, nicer and bigger. It borders on being a weapon in the hand. It takes some of the best pictures I've ever seen following a trip to the Kennedy Space Center. There was some bragging about the battery life potential, but I haven't seen it and suppose 48 hrs charge life is after you abandon it fully charged for that long. I saw it drop to near 50% over 10 hrs of lightly fiddling with it on and off and a few short calls. It was very I-phonish to me. I'm not a heavy phone user so most of my use is functional necessity; talk, a little texting, picture and video taking. It took me a bit to sort out the controls. The instruction book, or sheet I should say is minimally helpful. First I struggled to figure out how to mute the ringer. After that, I was harassed by app notification sounds when the phone was not in use. Google was the worst offender, after shutting off the all notifications switch in Google, gmail was still sounding off. I finally discovered it's a two tiered, individual process, app and sub app. I am a Metro PCS customer and strongly advise you to shop around before dropping their asking price for this phone. Their upgrade price to this phone was the same as the over the counter to any buyer price at Best Buy 250. The catch, or offense, is that purchasing the phone unlocked from Best Buy netted me 2 additional Gig of memory-8 and double the storage space at 258 Gig. Not very existing customer nice in my opinion from Metro at 6/128. I did purchase a case and screen protector from the Metro PCS store after Best Buy missed the delivery date of those items following waiting a week. The Metro purchase was not a pleasant experience. The sales rep would not tell me the price of a single case among 3 offered, until after I selected one, suggesting he was trying to maintain leverage, by being able to give me his desired minimum price no matter what I chose. Interestingly, I had to get the BBB involved after my initial purchase of the old phone from a Metro PCS store, when the rep signed me up for a different and more expensive plan than what I clearly stated I wanted. Do your homework before you buy.

120hz IPS screen. Snapdragon 690 8gb RAM and 512gb storage makes this phone a steal at sale price of $199-$149. At the MSRP of $500 not so much considering it doesnt have wireless charging. Better phone can be had at that price unless you absolutely need a stylus and you can't afford a Samsung Note

Excellent mid-tier phone with fast processor and 256 GB storage and 8 Gb RAM. Good sound and large screen with pen. Got on sale for $250. Only close competitor is smaller OnePlus N20 without pen support. Recommend Otter slim case to protect screen.

This phone replaced a Moto G Stylus 2020 and so far I really like it. It's fast and the display is brighter and larger, and it includes the macro feature for the camera, that I enjoyed with the 2020 version. And the addition of NFC means I can pay with my phone now, so that's a nice addition. The 256 GB of on-board memory is great and it comes with a 256 GB Micro SD card to install. That was a pleasant surprise. The stylus is a bit more functional, though I haven't used it much yet. Compared to my 2020, I don't like the side edge fingerprint reader. I prefer it on the back. The battery life is good, but not quite as good as the 2020...that thing goes for 3-4 days if I wasn't on it all the time. This 2022 version will last 2 full days, though, so that is still better than many and definitely means I don't have to carry chargers with me every time I leave the house. And the placement of the front-facing camera annoys me a bit, because it is right where my finger naturally lands when I swipe down to look at notifications or access the settings tiles. But that's a minor thing compared to the positives.

Nice Phone. Lots of storage. Speed is good and no dropped calls and 5g. Price is amazingly great for this phone.

The Moto G Stylus 5G 256G is a mid-tier-priced smartphone with the hardware, options, functionality, and build quality you'd expect in a flagship phone. Quality hardware, bloat-free operating system, and Motorola's simple interface make the Moto G Stylus 5G 256GB a very functional, easy-to-use device. I've noticed that, when I'm using this device, I am actually able to perform tasks and find whatever I'm looking for much more efficiently and with less frustration than with any other devices I've used in the past. The sheer ease by which you're able to navigate this phone's bloat-free software and actually utilize all of its features is refreshing. In my opinion, it's the best smartphone with a built-in stylus that's avaliable today--especially since Samsung decided to halt its efforts in the stylus-including smartphone sector and stop production of its Galaxy Note line. Motorola "hit the mark" with this one!

Is a really good phone. The screen is sharp. The apps work smoothly. The phone sounds good. Overall it is a very good phone. The stylus is not that great. I didn't buy the phone for the stylus so I am not disappointed. I bought the phone for $249 plus tax and it works better than I ever expected. The phone calls are clear. The battery is excellent. I can't tell you about games because I don't play games on the phone. I use it for reading, email, calls, texting, shopping, music, banking, watching YouTube, social media and so far everything I use it for it works great. The phone charges fast. I would give this phone a four and half out five.

Really good phone, especially for the sale price. So much faster then my old phone, has a big screen, and tons of memory and storage. The stylus, while on the thin side, works just fine. The battery lasts all day, even with game play.

I honestly love this phone. The stylus is great for marking up pics at work. It performs as it should, has a great camera, and great battery life. Call me simple, but that's all I need.

Large screen, fast performance, plenty of memory, very satisfied with the purchase, only for 1 sim card, but now it's ok.

I have had this phone for a week. So far im very pleased with it. The screen is rich with color and smooth. The battery lasts about 36 hours on a full charge with moderate usage. The sound is plenty loud and clear with richness. It picks up cellular signal better than my old phone. I am happy with it and would recommend it or another Motorola phone.

I'm stuck between 3 and 4 stars. It's a nice phone, but it just feels kind of clunky. I've had it only a few at writing this review, so keep that in mind; it was replaced because the charging port on OnePlus 6T wouldn't stay connected. That phone, for it's age, was faster and more user friendly. The price on this MOTO was fantastic, I will give it that. Has a stylus which is a nice feature, but I don't find myself using very much. Plugging in to charge with only a USB-A to say like a couch plug is stupid slow. Charging with the wall plug is as fast as my old phone was plugged into the couch. Relatively slow by today's standards. Am I glad I got it? Yes and no. Inexpensive is the best feature. I wish I still had my own phone.
