A good phone. I sold it for a Samsung A53 and The Moto G Stylus is a better phone in my opinion. I should have kept it. The issue may be that Moto is having troubles obtaining the internet. Also with The A53, I received the latest update and operating system. I'm not sure the Moto will get that update. This is a Samsung, Apple, and Google world these days. For security purposes, one will always want the latest and most current updates. A VPN helps, however the security update is better. This is how they keep us buying new phones. My opinion is new phones are way too expensive. Often there are little change to none on the new phone from the previous model. Sometimes they downgrade the new phones and the old one is the better one, but we keep on buying to their delight.

Let me preface my review by admitting that I had been using a Samsung Galaxy S7 (64GB) for the past 6 years... and since it merely limped along for the last 2 years, it's probably not that hard to impress me ;-). However, I can't discount the fact that like many expensive androids, the $200 Motorola Stylus 5g 256mb (2021) has TONS of storage, a clear & crisp display, impressive loading time for apps, and a good quality camera. I use my phone for the basics like talk & text, reading and fitness apps, email, internet, photos, and GPS. It performs expertly for my needs and the battery charge lasts for up to 2 days!! The only negative thing I can say about this phone is that it feels kind of big and heavy but for the price & quality, it is worth putting up with.

Great phone I bought a little over a year ago and it's still going strong. The stylus it's very useful for precision gestures and quick notes. Camera produces very impressive pictures and videos that can be stored in the ample 256Gb built in storage. The large display allows for a comfortable viewing experience of your favorite streaming videos on the super fast 5g Network. This is not a top of the line phone but not the cheapest either so if your dishing out a few hundred bucks it is logical to buy it along with a sensible protective case and display protector.

Love this phone. Coming from an older Samsung Galaxy S7. I always had Motorola phones prior to the S7 and glad to be back. Lots of internal storage (256 gb), and a micro SD slot to add more. It has a headphone jack and a built in Stylus and the screen is huge. Very fast and responsive phone. Long lasting battery. Love the MOTO gestures and the fingerprint scanner is in a great position on the rear of the device. Cameras are very good and easily turned on with a double flick of the wrist. Learning something new that the phone can do every day. 5 stars.

I bought this phone 2 years ago, and it has been great! No issues at all, and I love that it comes with a stylus. Works with my T-Mobile service. The battery lasts 1–2 days, and charges in 1–2 hours. The camera is decent for the price. Shipped very quickly from Best Buy too!

Nothing to envy to any other Android, it has a 256GB!! you can do whatever with that, plenty storage for your apps, music etc etc. I love the stylus pen! and the color "emerald" its a plus, taking into account majority of the cellphones comes in boring gray or black.
The only con I found is that it restarts or freezes randomly, maybe because I bought it refurbished? maybe, besides that it runs super smooth

Great phone! Upgraded from a Moto G5s Plus and have been loving the faster speeds and great camera quality. The battery life is also awesome!! Definitely would reccommend this phone to anyone looking for a 5g upgrade that won't break the bank.
The stylus fits into the phone nicely, and pops out without a hassle. It's very secure in the phone, no risk of falling out. It is a bit hard to handwrite legible notes, as the stylus glides very easily, but this just takes a bit of getting used to.
The screen is a bit dimmer than I'm used to, and can be hard to see in sunlight. Also, the Do Not Disturb and Bedtime Mode settings have been somewhat frustrating to use and customize. But these are pretty minor complaints, in my eyes.

Had this phone for about a month. Cosmic Emerald is a very dark green, almost black, looks great!
Battery is power packed, lasts several days.
It has a great amount of memory (256GB).
So, it does everything you would expect a good phone to do. Oh, it takes crisp pics too!
So, I picked up this phone on sale for $200.

I have had a fine experience with this device. I am very slow to upgrade phones and was one of those stubborn Blackberry holdouts, so I hoped this kind of phone would ease me into post-Blackberry life. So far so good.
As far as cons go, they are somewhat superficial. I can tell that the screen resolution is slightly below my 4-year old Key2, but that is not a meaningful drawback. Having the headphone jack on the bottom can be slightly awkward in portrait mode, and neutral in landscape, but at least it is there, while some phones exclude it altogether. A few other things like the digital navigation buttons on the bottom that pop up and down, and the fingerprint scan on the back, take some getting used to but so not slow me down too much.
For pros, the stylus is very fun. I haven't used it that much day to day, but it has significant functionality and could provide some serious efficiency if you get quick with it. Switching between apps and browser and email and such is easy enough. The camera seems fine. Calls are clear.
Above all it has proven to be a very good value considering what I paid for it, during a sale. I comparison shopped pretty thoroughly and am quite content with my choice. Next project is to load some music on it and make it my "mp3 player." Yes, I am old school in that regard as well.
Would recommend on sale.

It is a heavy phone so if that matters. But it functions well. I've had it over a year and I drop my phones a lot so I'm happy with it. It has a large screen which is nice. Camera is pretty good. Battery lasts all day to this day.

This is not a bad phone, but having no NFC for credit card payments, was a deal breaker. The phone was responsive, fairly fast and display was good. Its 5g, and has space for an SD card. The price was not bad either !

The Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G has almost everything it needs to be a very good affordable phone. The screen is bright and big with clear colors. The processor used is the same 5G processor used in the Google 5G phone. 6 ram of memory is definitely adequate for everyday use. The phone has 256 GB of memory which is plenty of storage for most people. I really like the wrist motions which would activate the camera. The stylus, while not quite as good and the Samsung Stylus, is great for writing notes. The only down side - and this was a biggie to me - was the lack of NFC. Because of this, I returned the phone. Without NFC, you cannot use Google Pay.

I was a tad hesitant, as an avid Samsung consumer, to make the switch. Understandably people use their phones in their own way. For me, it's business so I can't go too much into gaming / social media side, however, if you are looking for a phone that will allow you to conduct business (MS apps, split screen, text, video conf, etc.) then look no further.
I have had all manner of Samsung premium lines, MS Surface Duo and Apple Pro...I honestly am the happiest with this silly little Moto G Stylus 5G (256GB) version. I say this specific version because Motorola names their phones a bit confusing. Finding a case that has a built in card / wallet is near impossible (spoiled with Spigen as they cater to the more mainstream). Additionally, since I was so used to Samsung's Smart Switch that clones the old to new phone missing feature I opted for the $15 fix of getting a usb-c to usb-c data transfer cable off Amazon.com. Those two issues aside, no complaints with the actual phone.
Moto gestures I love love love. The 'turn like a door knob' to initiate camera, or 'shake' for flashlight, 3-fingertip touch for screen capture, 'back and forth line' to split screen...just outstanding!
The intuitive nature of Google and how it operates in Moto OS is making my life so much easier. Ex: real time texting via my laptop in Google browser via Google messages (free and instant to set up), when I type a time / date it a text, I'm automatically asked if I'd like to add it into my calendar, and so forth.
Battery life is insanely amazing. I can finally go almost 36 hrs. between charges. When I'm working / past phones I couldn't make it 12 hrs...so for me this is a game changer when I'm putting in my 18 hr. days!
Lastly, thank you Motorola for not doing away with expandable SD memory!!! I can't tell you how much this is still needed even with cloud computing / back up there are so many programs / apps I have to have physically on my phone and for me anything smaller than 512GB total is just not an option.

Felt like I needed an upgrade to 5g, have a Moto G7 play so I wanted similar. This is much faster, more ram and onboard memory, Came with android 10 upgraded to android 12. A couple of things were a little quirky but I think it was T-mobile. A reboot seems to have fixed them. Fantastic battery, only have to recharge every 3 days. Screen about 3/4" more than my G7. Had to have a type C to C USB cable to transfer all my data from old phone but I got it all. Luckily I had one from a external SSD drive. Two years of texts from one person,Ha,Ha. In the old days you just moved the memory & Sim card.

So far it's pretty good. Camera quality is way better than the LG K92 it was replacing. Screen quality and size is also better. My only gripe was the keyboard, the typeface font/size, notification bar. I fixed the first 2 issues but cant change a notification bar style. I can live with that. Internal memory is plenty that I decided to forgo the external SD since they always seem to get corrupted and I lose half my photos anyways. I've never corrupted an internal memory on a phone before so...here's to hoping I don't start now.

Great phone. It brings out the best of everything you could want in a fashionable device:
It is sleek, but also big, and very fast, so it could technically be used for gaming. It also has amazing display and camera quality, and I've never had a problem with it slowing down on me.

After I decided to replace my iPhone SE 2020 due to the extremely small screen, and poor battery life, I was hesitant to switch to Android at all. I tried a similar galaxy A series and it was horrible. I took a leap of faith with this phone. Incredibly, it's just as fast as my iphone was, perfectly responsive fingerprint reader, awesome photos, and a ton of space. Having a headphone jack and micro SD slot is awesome too. I love the screen as well, paired it with an OtterBox commuter lite and it's good to go. I don't even know the stylus Is there as I don't use it but you can write and color with it. This phone is awesome for the price and shockingly hasn't slowed at all since I bought it. Highly recommended! I use it with Verizon prepaid, just go on Verizon's website and they'll send you a sim card.
