I did extensive research and came to the conclusion that this would be a good budget phone for my mom. It is not stellar by any means and functions as expected for the most part. However, there have been issues with texts not going through. I am also not impressed with the updates for the Android OS from Motorola since they have yet to release a nougat update as promised. While this is a good budget phone, I may consider spending a bit more for something better, and maybe it won't be a Motorola next time.

WE WANTED A GOOD SMART PHONE THAT WOULD PERFORM WELL, BUT NOT COST HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. THIS PHONE IS AN ANDROID, WHICH WE ARE FAMILIAR WITH, SO IT WAS EASY TO LEARN, AND IT ONLY COSTS $150. WE BOUGHT IT TO ADD TO OUR VERIZON ACCOUNT WITHOUT A CONTRACT AND WE ARE VERY PLEASED.

I bought this phone as a gift for my grandfather. He is loving it and it was extremely easy for him to learn how to use it!

As I spend time between two countries, an unlocked phone works best for me. Just get the sim card changed when necessary.

The phone is inexpensive and serves the purpose temporarily. It isn’t slow or is there any lag for regular operations.

pros fast, good camera cons charging takes for ever

If you're lookng for a feature rich unlocked (not jailbrike) smartphone at a reasonable price, then you have found it! Compare the specs against the top brands then compare the price. Why pay twice as much for the same features? The only downside is that the Android operating system (6.0) is customized a little.

While it's not as powerful as its big brother the Moto G4, it does the job I need it for quite well. I use it as my secondary phone and the battery lasts an amazing 3 days without any modifications whatsoever. Add in the force doze or greenify app (non-root method for both), and it lasts for 5 days minimum before I have to recharge the phone. The price is low enough for the specs and performance it delivers with a screen that's at least 720p to begin with. If you care about durability, I'd recommend a case and a glass screen protector in any case, because a drop or two would mean the difference between having a phone that works and a phone that's shattered without insurance to cover it.

1. Long battery life (2-3 days on one charge) normal talk and text with light data usage. Nice screen displays well in low light. 2. Audio features work very well, loud ringer, speaker phone etc. 3. Camera is plenty good and easy to use. Processor is good too. I have used prepaid plans and phones for years, and this Moto G4 paired with a T Mobile prepaid plan works flawlessly. Put my micro chip sim card in new phone, it was ready in 2 minutes to use.

This cell phone works great. I had to get use to it because it has more things to do than my other phone. I should have bought this phone a long time ago. It is very easy to handle.

Great phone for the price! This phone performs better than other budget phones that I've had. Battery life is excellent. The big plus on this phone is it works with all providers

I bought this to replace a broken iPhone 5s. Not only is the device equally capable as my old phone, but was WAY cheaper than any new iPhone. Opening apps, surfing the web, and of course making calls all work flawlessly. I really love the microUSB connector so I don't have to have a proprietary lightning connector. The presence of a microSD slot and replaceable battery are awesome. Battery life is really quite good.

This phone has worked out just fine. It doesn't have as many fancy features but it works well. It's not too slow loading, gps worked fine ( others mentioned that they'd had issues), modern looking, does all that it claims to do. Great back up phone if you prefer the bells and whistles.

For anything you want to do ie. text,phone, drive, camera, just click and go. There's no, how do I do this? very easy to figure out.

Excellent phone.New i phones were too expensive as was Verizon. Went with T-Mobile and their Seniors plan thus the Android phone.

The G4 Play replaces my Razr which had saw better days. The G4 boots fast, has good cell range and takes great photos and video.
