This phone is a excellent for anyone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money for a phone. It has many surprises including a battery life that is outstanding! It also is free from a lot of bulky pre-installed apps. It has fingerprint recognition which makes it easier to awake your phone. And the size feels good in my hand. Great phone!

this looks stylish and appears to be good speed. But only problem is it is not available in many colors. It works for both GSM and cdma that is really good thing. It is compatible with t-mobile, sprint as far as my checking. But price is still little high in this segment, I went for moto g5 plus and ended up buying this as this is only next one in the close price range. But this is still good.

I did a lot of research before I purchased this phone, looking for an inexpensive but yet good quality phone with the latest Android operating system, Oreo. That wasn't easy to find because if you do your research properly, you find most of the inexpensive Android phones don't have Oreo. So I was glad to find this highly rated phone that's reasonably priced yet has Oreo. I've already gotten security updates from Motorola too, keeping the phone up to date and secure. There's really nothing about this phone that I don't love. It's fast and efficient. I am a heavy phone user and the battery is so powerful I don't have to recharge my phone but every 3-4 days. That's awesome battery life ! You can use the Battery Saver feature, which really helps with that. The charger is SUPER fast too, it's only an hour or so and my phone is completely charged up again to last for days. There's also a great feature where you can elect to have your phone password protected but have that turned off so you can access your phone easily at trusted locations. Hardly any bloatware came pre-installed on this phone except for the inescapably pre-installed Google apps that you can't get away from (or delete) with any phones these days. Minor complaints: (1) The flash is a bit too bright on the camera but I'm okay with it. Most of the time I find I don't need to even use the flash and the photos come out better with natural or indoor lighting. (2) The phone doesn't have a native Gallery app so your photos are pretty much uploaded to Google Photos or Dropbox if you want to access them. I personally prefer to have a Gallery app and keep photos only on my phone and backed up to extra storage card. I'm still looking into how to do that with this phone. (3) There's a ton of emojis on this phone for use with texting, which is great ! The order of the emojis is a bit annoying though. If you're someone who likes to use hearts a lot like I do, they put them way too far on the opposite end away from the smiley faces. Just a minor annoyance. Otherwise, I'm really happy with this phone and super glad I bought it !

The Motorola Moto G6 Play 32GB provides a great mobile phone which is a unlocked GSM that can be used on major networks. (AT&T, T-Mobile, Straight Talk, Simple Mobile, etc.) We selected this phone because our High end phone we shipped for repair was lost. We required a phone that would replace the lost phone but didn't require us to pay the same price point. We are satisfied with the 3GB RAM , 32GB ROM, 5.7 Screen and 13MP camera. If you are seeking your first phone or replacement for a high end or require to upgrade the Moto G6 Play will not disappoint.

This phone is an awesome deal at $199. The battery life is AMAZING. I only charge it when I'm driving in the car and it always stays nearly fully charged. The battery seems to rarely die down and when it does it is very slow and hasn't ever gone below near 50%. This is great if you are someone who constantly forgets to charge their phone or is annoyed with having a "low battery" sign come up. I appreciate other things about this phone - it's fast. The screen is high resolution and clear. It fits nicely in my hand. The only things I don't like are that sound quality isn't top notch during calls and when listening to music. Sometimes music will kind of go in and out or just doesn't sound high quality compared to when I listened to it on my old phone or on my laptop. I also have to listen to the volume at 100% max and although it's loud, it's not quite loud enough for me at times.

For the best experience, I recommend you shop online. They will have it shipped to your home in a matter of 3 days or less. (Once an LG TV arrived at my home from Best Buy the very next day!) I could not believe it! It is nice to know there is a brick and mortar store in case you need to go in and talk to someone. I found that helpful when I went in to ask what type of SIM card I will need. They directed me to the Sprint store. This phone is exceptional so far. I like it very much. I use it with Tello on the $ 10. per month plan. What is wonderful to me is the photos it takes. My goodness . . . to me they look like photos I see on expensive I Phones. Prior to this I had a Kyocera Aqua Reach and it took the worst photos on the planet! But this Motorola takes wonderful photos. Everything is working out so far with this phone. I am impressed!

In the age of $1,000 phones (more than my mortgage..) it is a relief to be able to find a solid functional phone at a reasonable price. This phone was for my dad who has very simple needs. calling, texting, maps, fm radio. As a result he is getting well over a week per charge. We specifically went with the play because of the battery size and are very pleased. The phone has a great feel to it. The software feels snappier than you would expect for a "budget" phone. The screen looks better than my gen 2 Moto X. Overall very pleased with this phone as it should easily last a couple years with a price tag that wont make you cry if you drop it.

    Great sub $200 phone

Best sub $200 universal smartphone with a couple compromises. Pros: The battery life is phenomenal and would easily last me two days of light use or 1.5 days of medium to heavy use. The camera is acceptable for the price but once lighting is lacking pictures fall apart quickly. Keeping the headphone jack is appreciated, especially with the addition of Dolby Audio. Cons: Lack of NFC is ridiculous especially when other parts of the world get the feature (Europe). Performance is lacking with the Snapdragon 427 but would probably benefit from another GB of RAM (Nitpicking, but would be awesome to have a variant since the G6 doesn't have a 4/64 variant). Honestly, for the price, you'll be hard pressed to find a universal unlocked phone as good as this for the price.

I didn't need a 'flagship' phone, just something to replace my aging Galaxy S4. I've only had it for a week or so, but so far I am happy. It does everything I need it to do, for 1/3 or 1/4 the price of the high end models. I am most impressed with the battery life, the meter hardly goes down at all overnight. I also like that it still has the old micro-USB connector, so all our old chargers still work. The only downside is it is slightly heavier than my old phone. If this phone holds up, I will should be happy with it for a long time.

Phone performs very well, very fast altho I'm not a heavy game user. Reception on calls is very good, the camera is okay--nothing exciting as other posters have noted. But the battery life is great: lasts a full week on a single charge, charges up quickly too. To me the video quality is very good, better than I expected. Overall a great phone for the money. Yes, there are better phones but as twice or three times the money. Great budget phone.

I must say over all that this is a fantastic mobile phone. Great camera, not flimsy & a bonus, it came with clear case that magnify the beauty of the device. Other members of my family have bought Motorola phones & are please with purchase. For the price, quality, durability. The MP of the camera alone is more & or equal to other high priced device. Never have given review. Keep up the good work. "Hello Moto"

This is not the first MOTO phone I have had. There were just the right number of updates. It did not take days or weeks to figure out how to use it. The larger screen was definitely a positive addition. this 32 gb phone replaced a 16 gb one and I welcome the space to add more apps, contacts, etc. I've had several different brands of phones and this one seems to be the best for the price. It's comforting to know you can update your phone when the time comes without paying a months salary to upgrade. Moto certainly keeps the price range to enable easy upgrade.

I typically buy high end phones, and jumped on the OnePlus 6 bandwagon only to be disappointed by bugs. So I decided to try a mid tier phone to hold me over until newer high end phones ship later in year. I liked the Moto G line and was attracted to the G6 Play by the huge battery. So after a few days this phone is a great deal. Perfect size. And while it is noticeablely slower than my OnePlus 6 it is fully tolerable. The battle life is very good and even though this is a 720p screen at this size it is more than enough. I am fine with all the compromises to hit this price point except there is no reason they could not have put a USB-C on this thing. I am looking forward to a few more generations when the processor speeds are a bit faster then I may no longer need a high end phone. And these Moto phones are basically stock Android, I love that the phone makers have stopped skinning the phones. The only annoying thing is there is no setting for vibrate or silent you simply lower the volume to minimum and it sets to vibrate and continue to press lower volume button to get into silent mode. That is annoying. So 2 dings, the connector and no vibrate/silent setting otherwise a near perfect phone.

Bought to replace my wife's Samsung Note 3. The phone has excellent battery life 32gb of memory and we added 128GB card. The data transfer application worked flawlessly. The phone's performance is very good, especially for such a reasonably priced unlocked phone. We purchased a screen protector, better case, and ordered from Amazon a wireless charging adapter that fit the phone perfectly. The wireless charging adapter does not cover the fingerprint reader but does use the USB port. Given the exceptionally long battery life greater than 3 days such is not a problem.

My wife really enjoys this phone overall. It works much better than her old LG Vista 2 did in every regard except one - the music player. Her old LG had it's own dedicated music player app that she really enjoyed and this new Motorola only has the option of using Google's music player by default. Since she doesn't like Google's music player, and didn't use it before, none of her music transferred (understandably) and she has to set up all of her playlists again via Google's app if she wants to have her music on this phone. Because of that, she's been using her old LG as her dedicated music player lately. If you already use Google's music player, then this is a non-issue and you won't have to worry about it. Once she figured out that there are some advanced settings buried in the Moto app, she's found a great level of customization available on the device and has been able to do just about everything she could hope for with it.

This phone has everything a user needs for under $200. The battery is long lasting and it comes with very few preloaded apps - meaning more space for your own. The photos come out really good - if you want high quality, buy an SLR camera. It also has fun features - you can shake to turn the flashlight on and when you pick up as it is ringing, it ceases the ringtone. Love my Moto G6 Play.

I can't say enough. I bought Open Box returned. Not a scratch on it. Was $30 off the sale price (which was reasonably priced to begin with.) I used the savings and put it towards a 1 year replacement/repair Geek Squad deal-e-o (just in case.) Gorilla Glass whatever version... great! Long battery life with all day use (email, facebook, music, video, etc.) Very nice screen compared to my former ZTE Blade Spark and LG whatever it was with the screen that broke so easily. Hiss.... Anyways, I gotta say, buy this phone. If you don't it's your mistake. I mean it. Don't finance something at 4x the cost because it isn't worth it in my opinion with phones as good as this available.
