Excellent phone with just enough bells and whistles. We have the newest Samsung phones and two iPhones, but needed a phone that was in a lower price bracket for a family member that only required a great camera, reasonably sized screen, and enough memory/processor to manage a couple apps simultaneously. This phone fit the bill and than some. Truly unbelievable price for the quality and features. The screen is typical HD with excellent resolution and contrast to the eye, no lag when opening and using multiple apps, very clear sound, strong reception, easy to handle thanks to smaller footprint and lightweight materials, and excellent battery life. Couldn't be happier with the purchase and would recommend as a top option under $400.

This phone was to replace a 3 year old top of the line Moto Turbo 2. I must say that I was extremely happy with my Turbo 2 but couldn't pass on this Moto G6. It's like getting a major upgrade for the Turbo 2. It is faster and more responsive than my old phone yet I only paid $249 for a universal unlocked version. (If you have a sim card in your old phone this is the way to go) It still takes me a while to get things working routine since this phone has buttons in opposite places and has more involved camera and other things like finger print technology which is actually a great security feature and works perfectly and quickly( use your index finger, it's quicker) I hope this one lasts me another 3 years! Great phone!

I bought this phone on sale at Best Buy this week as a replacement for my wife's Moto X Pure Edition, which she accidentally dropped and shattered. The Best Buy staff was very courteous and set it up quickly. While it's not a flagship, it has all the functions and features that she uses, and so far has operated flawlessly. Given the fact that the device only cost about $200, I've been pleasantly surprised at the battery life and photo quality.

I originally got this phone as a halfway phone until I could afford to buy the newest Samsung Galaxy Note because my last Samsung Galaxy Note broke after 4 years of constant dropping. This phone ended up matching everything I wanted in it's Sleek design, performance speed, camera quality, it's ability to use Word and how easy it is to connect it to other systems. I don't think I'll ever drop $800 on another phone again I'm sticking with Moto's. They work great and the price is great. There are some things it's missing that the galaxy has that I can notice like my Galaxy was able to read my heart rate however the Moto by far makes up for it with its other built-in functions I use everyday.

I was looking for an unlocked device that would have the newest operating system without leaving the user with minimal storage after all the required google updates come through once the device is powered on. The 32GB in this phone is plenty of space for apps. I use a 32GB micro sd card for pictures, music and videos. The processor is fast enough to run pretty much anything, fingerprint scanner is an added bonus and works flawlessly. Battery life is all day on a full charge with a lot of usage. The only flaw I could think of would be lack of NFC which means no google pay. Overall one of the best purchases made this year and I would highly recommend this to friends and family.

Moto G6 out in May, 2018. Liked the specs and initial reviews. Now, it's official. Everyone is naming this the best budget smartphone out there. 5.7" display, vibrant colors, fast, fast charge. looks and feels great, phone and camera great, earphone jack, 2 mics, sound is a big plus. And, of course, the biggest plus is the price. $250. Read the great customer and tech reviews, and then experience this phone, you will say it's better than the reviews

I needed a new phone since my Galaxy S4 died, so I went to the store and the price of the new Galaxies were ridiculously over priced so I did my research and came up with the Moto G6 so basically it has everything the Galaxy S8 and up have, and all the cool features that came with it are even better, so for a budget phone with all these great features you can't go wrong so I've had my Moto for almost 2 months and works great, the battery last for 2 days and I use all kind of apps for games,YouTube, listen to music, browse internet, etc and still the battery doesn't drain much. So for a phone worth less than $300 you won't be disappointed. *My carrier Tmobile

I got this for my wife, my friend and my mom. If I was going to recommend any phone under $400 it would be this one. I went with the G7 which has its pros, I feel that the overall value is in this phone with 32 gb of internal storage and 3mb of ram. It has better call quality. It upgraded to android 9.0 late last year and it has gotten security updates quicker than the g7. For under $200 (I would wait for a sale) that’s what I got it for and it really is snappy for a budget processor. It’s unlocked. So, you can always look for better deals on non contract/prepaid wireless plans. Surprisingly, around the holidays after 2 of the bargain companies, found a very reasonable deal with a major provider prepaid 2 lines ($60 combined, 6 gb normally data each when you use auto-pay). I highly recommend unlocked for just this reason. It’s a clean google with relatively little bloatware and with a few additions such as not always on but it detects motion to show time, date and battery and notifications which can be customized for privacy, the ever so convenient chop chop flashlight and flick of the wrist for turning the camera on. These sound like gimmicks, but I probably have stayed with moto phones over other ones because it’s so convenient. Except for most high end cameras low light is mediocre at best. I believe you don’t have to get a high end phone which has major name recognition and things like wireless fast charge or more pixels and a better camera. That’s really what you’re paying for, imho. So, if that matters most you’re probably not going to be looking at a $200 phone in the first place, but is a faster processor, wireless charging, a better camera worth spending another $600-$800 and financing for where you’re locked in a contract for 2 years? My answer is a definitive NO.

At its current price under 150-200 as of February 2019 it's a good deal. Navigation and other apps respond quickly, good camera, and decent battery life. The Moto Actions adds convenient ergonomic elements. Starting apps on the unlocked phone are also more minimal, so you get more choice on what you want to put on your phone. Cons: -In U.S. versions, this phone does not have NFC. -In unlocked U.S. versions, this phone does not have wifi calling. -Speaker is a bit on the quiet side. I personally don't have any use for NFC or wifi calling currently, but for those that do keep that in mind.

The Moto G6 with its 5.7 display and price tag of $249.00 unlocked, is a wonderful smartphone in today’s competitive market. To me, it fairs better than the $1000.00 iPhone because it does exactly the same thing with a bigger screen. The display is precise and clear. The speed is great. Enough memory with the ability to add more. Great pictures with the camera and smooth videos and playback. I waited for the G6 launch date before purchasing a new smartphone. I got fed up with paying exorbitant prices on today’s phones that will last you only several years. The G6 does the same as the other more exorbitant priced ones.

I decided to no longer spend hundreds of dollars on a cell phone. I've owned Samsung phones for the past few years and was ready for an upgrade. My son brought my attention to the MotoG phones so I did some research on the features I was looking for in a phone. The camera, external storage, dual sim card and newest OS are what helped make my decision to get this phone. Also the fact that I bought it outright with a new sim card for less than $300 and can take it to any carrier was an added bonus!

Where I am located, my old Samsung S6 gave zero bars for MetroPCS but my wife's Samsung S8 gave 4 bars - I needed a new phone ASAP. Agonized at the options for a bit but realized while the review of the Samsung S9 camera was great and enticing, Moto G6 camera is pretty decent, supported the MetroPCS network bands and I can get 3 such phones for 1 S9. The reception was very good with G6, phone was snappy and easy to setup. Not sure if this is the normal behavior of new phones but at new phone setup I was asked if I wanted to transfer my settings from the old phone. When I said Yes, it did bluetooth pairing & got all stored wifi passwords. In addition, it installed all apps it saw on the old phone! wow, one less hassle. Great phone all-in-all for the price.

I've had both iPhones and Samsung Galaxy phones. I got this phone because I was tired of paying $700-$1000 a phone. I can say after a few days of getting g used to the Moto, I'm glad I made this purchase. I feel like it was a great price. This phone does everything well for what I need. The camera is actually good for a phone in the price range and it works great on AT&T service. I'll be a Moto user from now on as long as they keep making phones like this one.

This is the best unlocked phone you can get if 1) you need to use Sprint or Verizon, and 2) you don't want to spend more than $300. The camera is pretty good for the price, it comes with Android Oreo 8.0, has a microsd slot for expansion, and has a glass back for extra reception. My only complaint is that glass back. It feels nice and gives the phone a high quality look, but you will NEED a case if you don't want the phone to slide out of your hands.

This is a great phone for what you pay. It has almost all the features of phones that cost more than double that of the MotoG6. The biggest things lacking would be the camera quality and NFC. The camera is very nice, and takes clean pictures, just not super-clean like all those $800+ phones, but still very nice picture . There is no NFC at all, so, if you are wanting to use Android Pay, you are out of luck. Barring these two minor flaws, this phone is fast, responsive, and has plenty of room built in (32gb), plus you can insert a SD card for more storage, if you want. It runs apps smoothly, and can run multiple apps without lag. Screen size is decent and runs in full HD. The phone feels sturdy and fits my hand real nice with the curved design. The speaker output is nice and loud, and doesn't break up with volume either. Basically, this phone is a very budget friendly phone, that competes very well with the big boys, so if you are looking for really nice performance, but not into every little feature, GET THIS ONE, you won't be disappointed!

I am very pleased with this phone so far, have only had it for a few days. This is the first Android phone I have owned and the adjustment has been slow from an IPhone but it is getting better with more use. For the sale price I paid for this phone I have no complaints, it offers a lot for a low mid priced phone. If you can find this phone on sale again for $139. you should grab it. CNET reviews were all positive for this phone, said it was a great value at it's regular price of $249.
