Had a Samsung S5(I am not one to have the latest phones). This phone does everything my S5 did quite a bit faster. Bought the 64GB so I have plenty of storage and because it is unlocked does not come with a bunch of garbage you do not need and can't get rid of(which takes your memory). Camera doesn't matter much to me so I am not the one to ask.

It's a good phone. Big enough screen, good graphics, and a good camera. I'm not a cellphone expert, but this is a nice phone. The signal could be better at times.

This phone is a great option when either you don't want to or can't afford to purchase the high end phones. It has all of the bells and whistles at a fourth of the cost. I purchased the 64GB storage version to ensure I am able to use it for the long term as Motorola will soon be releasing an upgrade to their operating system. I have had no issues with it all. I love this phone and that it is economical!

Decent phone for a cheap price. has everything you need, and the charging speed is surprisingly faster than I expected. Some apps/games are not capable with this phone, and gaming as whole is not well with this. Has widgets, a nice array of wallpapers, but it does not update after Android 9, so after that update you are stuck with that version. For the price, it makes a suitable budget phone, and the storage is alright.

A phone so nice I bought it twice. This phone has been one of the best phone purchases I have made in a couple years. It has sufficient storage for the apps I need and use daily an excellent camera, and is sufficiently fast. Motorolla's ongoing support continues to be excellent with reasonable regular software updates. At $220 this is a hard phone to beat.
In fact, I was so happy with this phone I purchased the same model for my wife three weeks later.

Glass back

The glass back shattered within 3 days when slipping only four inches. I didn't know it was glass and thought it was shiny plastic. I spoke to Motorola, who said that once the glass breaks the warranty is voided. They will replace the phone for $100 (likely a refurbished or open box) or more if they ship it immediately without waiting to receive your phone first. I don't have the budget to spend that on top of the 300 I just spent, so I will deal with the shattered back, I guess.
Other drawbacks:
1) volume buttons on right side of phone are ABOVE the lock/unlock button, which is different than what I am used to.
2) headphone jack is on BOTTOM of phone, which takes time to get used to.
3) phone is long. I have big man hands and this is awkward to hold. But many people prefer larger phones, so this is my personal preference and may change. I may end up preferring the new dimensions.
Plusses:
1) Syncs easily with my car
2) The Motorola makes good use of Android
3) LOVE Motorola's use of the auto blue light filter for nightime use. I use this phone to read ebooks before bed, so the filter makes sure I get quality sleep
4) Love tons of the new notification and ring sounds. I'm obsessed with the "Thank you for calling ringtone;"
5) good camera
6) aside from glass issue, this looks and feels like a prestige phone.
I have been a loyal Motorola user in the past. This may be my last Moto due to the lack of support/response with the glass issue. All my friends and coworkers are like "Woah" when I show them the damaged back.
I would probably be a lot happier if they remade this version using more heavy duty materials. But I am not able to recommend this phone at the present time.

I purchased this to replace a Motorola G5. Overall it's about as good as the G5, although I think the volume was a little better on the G5. Overall this phone is worth the money, is very fast, and takes great photos

The Moto G6 64g is a good phone for me. I don't need all the bells and whistles of the expensive phone. I like to buy unlocked phones and this one is very good. I bought it as an open box and it came with everything except earbuds. Get a case for it that has a grip, the phone is very slippery to hold without a case.

I purchased my first Motorola phone approximately 4 years ago. It served me well until about a year ago. It was starting to run slower and I was having a harder time getting reception especially out of the area. Since my experience had been a good one, I was not hesitant in looking at another Motorola, but one with more storage. So far I have been very pleased with my purchase. Easy to use.

Better camera than the Moto G5s Plus (especially for selfies). It has a little lag time, because only 3Gb, compared to 4Gb processor. Has a non-standard Android charger. It does handle all your storage needs with 64Gb.

This 2020 model doesn't have 5G, the battery capacity or the cameras and larger display of the newer model but this works well for what I paid for it (Black Friday - open box). It doesn't have an active stylus but it's good for taking short notes and annotating screen shots and the like. Battery life is decent and the display, while not OLED, is easily readable outdoors. This does have stereo speakers which provide some separation and a nice soundstage for such tiny speakers, the recent one has a single speaker. It did upgrade to Android 11 but I'm not holding my breath for future upgrades since Lenovo doesn't have a good track record in this respect. Not counting the flip phones, this is my fourth Motorola cellphone. All are still working and the older ones are put to various use around the house.

I got one for my wife a year ago and it's done everything she wants it to. The photos have been a nice surprise, they're far better than what we've got from previous phones at this price.
When I needed a new handset I looked at this and the G7 Play. I didn't want to move up to a larger phone that's uncomfortable in a pocket. This had an older processor, but I decided that would be an okay tradeoff for higher resolution and more RAM. So far it's been great and I'm enjoying the eight hundred I saved by skipping a flagship phone.

The phone works. it has an exhalent camera. it takes very good pictures. fingerprint reader works well. latest android operating system. it did update several times during setup. I was replacing an Sony phone. I only miss having one thing from Sony. I would much rather have this than spend over $700 on Samsung. you will be happy with this phone.

Never again will I buy a Motorola product. The G6 was fine for the first four months, then I started noticing slowed performance. By six months it was infuriating. Several factory resets later and we are now at ten months (and Android frickin' Pie). The phone takes a couple of *minutes* to boot up. It randomly freezes. Apps crash. At times it will shut itself off and simply refuse to turn back on even though the battery is over 40%. It refuses to recognize paired Bluetooth devices. Some numbers in my phonebook it simply refuses to call. It's like an angsty teen in pocket form.

I'm really happy with this purchase. I was looking for an inexpensive quality smartphone and all of my research into the subject lead me to the Moto G6. I have to say that it's a really solid phone overall. It seems as if it should have costed more than what I paid for it ($229 plus tax for the 64GB model). Being that my last phone was a Samsung Note 4, there were a few minor functionality differences that I had to get used to on the G6. However, these slight differences were not deal breakers. What I hate about many of the current phones on the market is the inability to replace a worn out non-charging battery. At least I'll be able to change out the G6's battery at a phone service center when the time comes.

At first it felt this was a very rudimentary and nearly juvenile Android, as I had a couple of ZTE models that were comparative to Samsung...BUT as the phone started giving me more Moto based updates, I've realized that it's actually very intuitive, and a powerhouse speed wise... I've dropped it, which it did crack fairly easy, unfortunately, but I gotta say this is really a good phone...

I'm not a power user, but I needed a phone with more speed, clarity and capacity than my Samsung Galaxy S5. This does everything I need, the battery lasts a long time and has excellent sound quality. All at half the price of better-known brands. Best Buy did the swap, so the changeover was painless.

No problem with phone so far & worked great out of the box with carrier TMobile.
