It's cheap plastic, NOT aluminum as promised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cool phone, cool concept, but horrible build issues. The main problem is the fact that Motorola blatantly lied about the materials. They clearly said it's glass and aluminum, but it's only glass and CHEAP PLASTIC. For a phone this expensive, I expected premium materials, especially when that's what's specifically marketed by Motorola. Also, there's a gap between the screen and interior bezel, and the inside of the phone is clearly visible. I wanted to love this device, but build quality issues and a LIE about materials ruined it for me.

Posted .Hi RatBoy, Sorry to hear you are disappointed. The frame of the phone is glass and aluminum, as stated. Not sure why you feel it's plastic. More concerning is the gap you describe. Please contact us at [email protected]. We can certainly address any assembly issues. Let's see if we can't restore your enjoyment of you new Razr. -Jess

A very Smart Flip Phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am still learning the many features that are different from my previous phone, but I do love it so far. I love that, because it is a flip phone but still smart, the screen is protected when not in use. It is easy to turn on and sign in, it is so smart in looks and features. So so far very good. I recommend except it is pricey.

No Video calling when activated with Verizon.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This poor rating is not for the overall quality of the phone. I would give it a 5 star otherwise. This is for anyone who purchases this or possibly other unlocked phones. I found out after several hours of research that video calling is not included when I activated this phone with Verizon. Sure, I can try to get my friends to use Duo. The ball is dropped both at Best Buy for not disclosing and at Verizon for not doing the same. During the purchase process, I had to log into my Verizon account to note which phone I was replacing. (A 2013 Motorola Mini Droid that does have video calling. I've waited years for a Verizon compatible small phone.) Both companies need to disclose, "WHEN YOU PURCHASE THIS UNLOCKED PHONE YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ENABLE IMPORTANT FEATURES THAT YOU COULD ENJOY IF YOU PURCHASE DIRECTLY FROM THE PHONE SERVICE PROVIDER." To be clear, both the Motorola and Verizon websites tell how to enable video calling. However, when one goes to the menus, the options that show on the websites AREN'T on the phone. In addition, Verizon should have written software so when an unlocked phone is activated, functionality isn't lost. So I returned this and purchased directly from Verizon. The menu is different and includes the ability to add video calling. Altogether, believing the problem must be with my mind and not the failure of multi-billion $ companies to do their job, I wasted several valuable hours. After viewing so much failure at the middle and upper management levels of so many companies, (Over the years I've found failure, not at the representative level, but rather with those making triple digits who consistently aren't doing their jobs.) it was my bad for trusting things would be done correctly this time. BTW, I'm 65 and have owned a company that has interacted with thousands of customers with NO COMPLAINTS! It can be done by LISTENING to the customers and lowest level employees, testing webpages on sample audiences, and implementing changes that virtually eliminate misunderstandings. Amazon (no personal affiliation), although not without fault does a good job of this.

Sold me a used phone Instead of new phone.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Brand New Phone from Milpitas Best Buy. When at home I opened the box It seemed to be a re-stocked Model. The phone was folded in the case, with no new screen cover. The moment I opened the phone I can see two bulges on screen on both half of the phone.

Posted .Hi mohd,
Motorola chose to ship the Razr in its folded position to further showcase the device’s compact form factor and highlight its unique Quick View display. We feel this, combined with the protection Razr has when closed, provides the best consumer experience. Apologies if it doesn't look quite right coming out of the box, but it is intended.
The two bulges you mention are part of the support for Razr's unique flexible display. They will not interfere with its operation and should not be visible when the display is on and in use.
Sorry if we couldn't retain you. Thanks for your interest in Motorola and Razr. - Frank
