loved it ... until
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great phone at first. Was very happy to get an Android (previously iphone user) that didn't cost an arm and leg! I was also really excited for using Android Auto in my brand new SUV! But the phone would NOT stay connected to Android Auto. Like not even 2 seconds. VERY frustrating. I took the SUV in thinking it was in the connection, I got a new USB cable, then I started reading reviews and apparently this is a known issue. When I finally broke down and went in for ANOTHER new phone, the turn in value of the moto was $0. It is an obvious problem. Otherwise I was happy with the camera and other features.

Replacement Phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to get a new phone after dropping my old phone in the lake during a recent fishing trip. I gave it 4 stars at this time since I have not had a chance to go through all of the features. So far this phone as performed just as well or better than my old Samsung and for about half the price.

Picture quality great.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality exceeded my wife's expectations and bluetooth connectivity is better compared to her old Moto phone. Biggest issue is when charging, there is a definite noise coming from the AC adapter that other family members complain about. Also, it was hard to find a phone case as the case companies we have used did not make cases for the X4.

Mid Range POS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just bought this for my wife. So she does everything right by updating everything to the cloud first from her old samsung. But when she goes to the new phone it reformats and wipes everything out. (including baby and vcay photos) to add to more frustration phone keeps updating constantly and will not let you add apps to the sd card. Also doesn't have a pic gallery. Will be returning this promptly. Hopefully restocking fees will be waived for this pos phone destroying are picture history of our kids

Superior Call Connectivity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had every MOTO X phone and even the latest MOTO Z2 Force. I am a driver with the same routes in North Jersey ,NYC and Long Island NY. I know every dead zone because I experienced them every day, until now. For anyone who gets frustrated with dropped calls because of driving through known dead zones this phone is the only one that stays connected where every other previous Moto has not. No other changes. Same network. Good job Motorola.

Works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace my J7, that was breaking down. Was able to transfer my data, both through my account as well as thru my memory card. Also was able to transfer my phone number. Have to get used to how this phone operates as it has some different aps and features. Like the fact that it was an unlocked phone so it didn't have a lot of bloatware loaded.

Good mid price phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Phone was a third the price of the high end android phones or the overpriced apples. Works well for me as I do not need all the latest features. Biggest trouble I have had is finding rubber shock cases and holsers to fit. Overall a good value for the money.

Good for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a good phone the for the price. I would recommend for parents as a more affordable way to keep connected with your kids/teenagers. Also if you are paying on a phone and break it, this will soften the blow, and still allow you to be function.

Affordable Option
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very difficult to beat at this price, what I like the most is its screen size, I don't like bigger screens that everyday look like more a tablet, to me the X4 is perfect. The performance has been good and no issues so far, the battery lasts a day with no issues.

Great value for the money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am amazed at the features and quality of this phone for the money. My old Moto G had a rubbery back which made it easy to hold. One of my complaints with this phone is that the glass back makes this a really slippery phone.

Great moto phone aside few key missing things
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was amazed by how well the moto e 4 held up as a very low end prepay phone that I decided to go this route on the upgrade quest for ultimate phone freedom. I will say I am satisfied with what this is and it performs on par with any other similar phone currently on the market, it just being motorola gave it the edge in my heart to choose it. I'll choose to not go Into depth as to why the phone is good, I can't say much that thousands of other happy customers already have. What I can impart to those future motoheads in pursuit of this particular version of the phone, do your due diligence and keep your wits about you. This phone comes in three different variants as of the writing of this review, I happened to stumble upon the androidone variant(Google fi and amazon being the others). Now previously i stated how much I absolutely loved the moto e4 prepaid 40 dollar off the pegboard phone they came out with a while ago. I think I went through three of them before I decided to upgrade. Motorola incorporated these fancy gesture options called motoactions, you can use them or not. I used them and I loved them. It turned your fingerprint scanner into your main control if you will. Swipe left to go back a page in any browser, swipe right to bring up all spps curre fly running. What that did was disable that annoying little shelf that pops up at the bottom that had your go back button and open running apps button. This particular variant of the moto x 4 decided to ditch that. As cosmetic and superficial as this sounds, IT BROKE THE PHONE. For me that is such a small change they did not have to make and it completely kills this phone for me. I do not like it. Especially after the relentless outcries of customers and life long devotees to boot, nothing has come in wake of change. Number 2 is simple as this, no adoptive sd card support. You can only use sd cards as portable storage. Those two things right there should have killed this phone from the get go. I will be returning this, and i will be purchasing a different device, and won't touch these again until I hear different. Listen to your very loyal customers and fans you guys. They are some if the mst passionate and loyal of all the manufacturers out there. Listen to them.

good phone for the money
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything about this Motorola phone is a big upgrade from my old Samsung Galaxy S4. I'm happy that I found a new phone I like for less than $400 and happy that I got help from my local Best Buy at no extra cost.

Great budget android phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this Moto X4. The stripped down Android OS is the best and it has the quick motion features to turn on the light and camera. The only thing I miss is wireless charging but I can get over that.

Great phone for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returned a Moto G7 for this phone. Better graphics, better camera. Why pay more? Even though this phone is a little dated, it is still a great buy.
