Very pleased with performance and quality , Free 360 MOD is great. at $300 it is hard to beat , had no problem activating to Verizon or ATT. NO BUGS in software not sure what other reviews mean.

Not bad but not for me.

The product was “meh” for me. When I purchase a smartphone the performance of the camera is a major selling point. This product was ok but my selfies always looked like I used a filter which limited my artistic ability. The phone was fast and the sound was always crystal clear. Easy to connect to the car.
I will likely not purchase this product again. I prefer iPhones.

Love this phone. The screen is better than the Pixel 3A, the battery life is better, and the software is almost identical to it. I've been really really enjoying it.

I had the Z3 thru Verizon but it just didnt seem high end quality.
The Z4 is heads above the Z3 in all aspects.
display, speed, build quality.
The camera can probably be better, but I think that this is a software issue and will be addressed in upcoming updates.
I got this oon sale and best phone I have

Bad product/warranty/customer service

I bought a Motorola G6 last November. Within 6 months the phone would not charge. It was under warranty and I paid around $60 to have a new one sent to me. It has been approximately 6 months since the phone was replaced, and it is not charging again. Motorola informed me it is out of warranty by a couple weeks and I would have to pay $150 to have it replaced. I explained this is a $180 phone, and they explained it was the best they could do for me. After I asked to be escalated to the highest level. The person I spoke to offered me a replacement for $125. Seeing the phone is $180, and it's broke twice in one year (bad battery). They refused to do anything else for me. I explained I would write reviews and share my experience with people I know. The gal did not seem to care. She explained she is at the highest level in Motorola and that sales are important to her. Clearly selling defective phones to people and making them pay to replace them is not something that they are worried about. Have fun dealing with customer service if you buy a Motorola. It's not worth the Hassel in my opinion. I'll be switching to Apple.

Motorola is going downhill...

With this new phone and recent introductions of Moto g7, you'd think things were looking good for Moto. Word of warning - Don't buy a Motorola phone any longer....
Motorola is no longer going to provide regular software updates for their phones. Moto z4 was SUPPOSED to be release with 10.0 but that was a no. It was released with 9.0 AND Motorola stated it was only going to upgrade to 10.0 ; no more.
Let's not get started about Motorola's common "don't support a phone after two years" stuff. It's extremely disappointing Moto has come to this stage ; it use to be my favorite series. If they were only able to introduce new OS to older phones then they'd hang on to more people. Instead they are putting all their chips on Mods and 5g. It's a losing proposition.

Very Poor Execution - TERRIBLE CAMERA!

Pre-ordered this, since I previously owned the Moto Z2 Play and Z3 Play. I positively reviewed the Z3 Play here on Best Buy, so this review will be much shorter and to the point.
- Would not connect to AT&T, had to go into the store and get it to detect their network - never had this happen with any other phone I've used - ever - and I have had a lot of phones!
- Software bugs all over the place; too many to list and count.
- Very POOR camera. Coming from a Z2 & Z3 Play, this is awful. Constant auto-focus issues, just never can focus properly and when it finally does the final shot is worse than some $200 phones I have had; The Essential phone's main rear snapper slays this thing. In this price group, this might be the worst camera I have ever used. They did not put much effort into this at all and that's quite sad!
I'm not the kind of person that waits for software updates anyway, but with Motorola's track record of those, I'd never sit around hoping they fix the issues this phone has - especially the camera!
Do yourself a favor, wait until some reviews come out, updates to flow through at least. Take my word for it, this phone is not worth $300, let alone $500. Get the Z3 Play at its current $350 price if you want a Motorola .. or a OP6t for $550.
STAY AWAY!

Hi chaddles This should not happen. The device is compatible with AT&T. As we stand by our phones, we would love to get this device checked. Regarding software updates, Software can't be released until it's fully tested. And we test to make sure there are no significant errors. So if there are serious errors, the timing would have to move so that they can be addressed. Plus, there may be delays from partners or carriers that also need to conduct tests, and we don't have control over that. Write us an email to [email protected] together with your phone's IMEI so we can directly communicate with you and get this concern resolved. We'll wait for you there. We'll surely help. -Jess

No choice, I have to return this phone this is ridiculous a $500 phone with this camera issues, the front camera doesn't focus and at night when I use the front camera doesn't focus and screen start blinking, this is my first Motorola phone but I am dissatisfied, I see other reviews that they have some connections problems too I don't even try my ATT chip after I see the front camera issues, I pick up this phone over pixel 3a because I love the screen but I hate the front camera

Activation issues

Pre-ordered the Z4 but Best Buy could not activate it on Verizon because VZW said it was "not compatible with their system". WHAT? Shouldn't these issues be worked out between BB & VZW before the phone is marketed to work on a certain network?
