I've had the Moto Z2 Play for 2 weeks now and I'm extremely pleased with its performance, the elegant look and manageability of controls. This upgrade has features from my previous Motorola phones that are valuable and practical plus extras that upgrade to latest technology. From the battery life going beyond 24 hours without charging, to the sharp and clear sound when you are on a call, the camera with slow motion capture, etc.. I can use the plug-in earphones or the Bluetooth. It has easy access to front-face controls and the screen is big enough to display all my most-used apps. The hand wave to turn on and voice commands are two of my favorites. I believe I made the right selection with the help of the sales associate and paid a good price. It's not a flagship phone with a big tag, but it feels like one.

I do a fair amount of camping and it's nice to be able to stream some Netflix at night when I'm suffering from insomnia. The projector mod makes this 100x nicer because instead of squinting at a tiny screen I'm laying back on my air mattress watching a 40+" screen. The phone itself is nothing to write home about. I use a Pixel 2 XL as my daily driver. But when I'm out and about I load up some stuff on the micro SD card and if I have lte where I'm camping I can stream all night if I feel like it. I appreciate Moto's very light Android customization.

Constantly being asked (by iPhone owners who take the same pictures I am taking) what I have because the camera is great alongside the video recording components. I upgraded from the discontinued Moto X2 (replaced 3X) and gave into this. This is the closest I have been. But this is way better. I just insert an extra memory card and I am good to go. The turbo usb-c charges up the phone fast even though daily use doesn't kill it. I bought a protective cover (soft) and haven't taken it off and see the paint on the phone has chipped quite a bit, but cosmetics doesn't deter the phone's functions. Haven't yet tried the mods. I paid in full for the phone to avoid the contract and plan which wasn't as great as the prepaid Verizon plan. Because it's already equipped with a Verizon Sim there is no need to purchase a new Sim. Just set it up and pay for the plan you want. I'd most likely get another if this one gave out on me. It's been about 4 mos.

Excellent phone that would be a mistake to overlook. Screen: very good. Not quite as sharp as Samsung S7 or S8 but plenty good enough Speed - much better than I expected. Snapdragon 626 CPU and a clean version of Android go together like old friends. Everything is fluid and smooth, apps launch quickly, and no lag. Battery - insanely good. I'm regularly getting 2 work days out of this thing. And the charging speed is awesomely fast. 20 minutes of charging while in the shower and 15 minutes in the evening before bed is probably enough to keep the phone running forever. Looks - like a premium phone. Not cheap feeling at all. Camera - pretty good. Bright light shots are nice, if maybe a tad oversharpened. Low lights shots do get blurry/grainy but still useable. Software - awesome! The Moto actions are genuinely useful, Moto has the best driving mode on any platform, and the lack of a skin on Android is awesome! Other - the fingerprint sensor is super fast and the fingerprint sensor navigation should be on every phone Mods - surprisingly cool. The JBL speakers sound awesome, the battery mod easily makes a 3 day runtime, the style shells are very nice, and even the projector is pretty sweet. Negatives - not many. It is not waterproof. It is physically very large for the size of the screen, kind of an old-school design with large bezels. There aren't a ton of mods yet and the ones out there are kind of pricey. With last years S7 getting close to the Z2 Play in price some people might be tempted by the waterproof design and better camera of the Samsung. Overall, I'm super happy with the phone and would buy it again!

Coming from the Moto x pure edition, this is a substantial upgrade. Screen is great, battery life is unbelievable (with occasional charges in the car and in the morning, I haven seen it go below 70%), it's way faster than my old phone. I haven used Moto mods yet, but I intend to. The only downfall I can see is the lack of accessories for it. Had to go through Amazon for a screen protector.

This phone does the job just as well as the more costly phones. It has excellent battery life. My previous phone was a Samsung s6 and I couldn't continually keep the wifi or data on because I would have to charge it within 24 hours. That is not the case with this phone. I also love the mods that can be purchased for it. It is truly a great phone at any price.

I bought this for my soon to be 12 year old daughter. I didn't want to pay $800 or more for a phone she'll probably break at some point. I use a Moto Z3 Play and it's great, so I recommended Moto. She use to have a Samsung S5. I decided to buy the phone outright for $99. What a deal. She went to Best Buy with me and loved the phone! Battery life is great, nice size, fast charging, all for $100! This phone retailed for $400-500. She doesn't mind it's not the most expensive, it's new for her and better than her last phone! Moto mods work great with this as well. If you're a Moto fan, this is steal! Thanks to Best Buy for hooking this up!

I upgraded from Moto Turbo to the Z2 Play. Battery lass forever and go all day with the battery pack mod. ( also bought the projector mod and you can't even tell it's on a phone because picture is great. I also have the JBL speaker mod which is handy and great as well, High quality and versatile phone.

Bought this phone because it had good reviews and wasn't crazy expensive. I have not been disappointed. The phone operates really well and has a solid battery. I am not super techy but the phone is easy to use and has been reliable to date.

Good phone. Sleek, powerful processor, long battery life, lots of mods to choose from... My only nit-picky issue is that the installed speaker isn't very loud. It can be hard to hear if the phone is my pocket.

The Moto Z is a great all around phone. Turbo charge is convenient. Camera is better than expected. I like the Moto actions (chop twice to activate flashlight etc). Well worth the money. Moto mod battery is excellent I can get 2.5 days off 1 charge.

This is awesome! Battery life is incredible, nice big screen, and LOVE the fingerprint. The shake-for-flashlight is kinda nifty, as is the swing(?) for camera. So far nothing bad to say at all, other than the lack of (any) cases that will fit a mod (especially the battery). The closest you can get is a "bumper" - which currently I can only find for around $30.... But I'm sure in time that'll change too....

This phone is everything that is made to do and more. Great photos, much more battery life than my older version.

It's not flashy. It doesn't have a 18k screen. It isn't thinner than half a sheet of paper. It can't run Crysis. But it works. Fingerprint sensor is 8/10, screen is good enough, battery will last a day of heavy use, or probably even 3 days of light use, can access the flashlight and camera without using the touchscreen, and it seems to be fairly durable for my clumsy self. Occasional freeze from certain apps, but overall not a bad phone for the price at all. A very good phone for someone who views their phone as a tool. Quick charging and type C are a major plus. Moto Mods are cool in concept, but don't add anything to the experience since cases can't work with them.

Good camera, battery length. I would recommend this for the price its great.

I came from an iPhone 6 to this phone and so far I am blown away. The phone is considered a mid range phone but everything about it feels high quality. It is very lightweight and thin but yet feels well built. It is very fast and has not had trouble doing anything so far. The camera is not extremely great but it is still very good. The Moto mods are a really cool feature as well and simple to use. Highly recommended phone.

First off, the camera does not have night vision nor can you take pictures in any light. However, it does very well in low light situations. While not quite iPhone quality, the pictures are actually quite good and I'm very happy with the images, especially since this phone is significantly cheaper than an iPhone. The Moto software features are pretty blah and don't really add much to the user experience, but the phone drives the Android OS very well and overall the phone is an exceptional bargain. Battery life is excellent, the camera is good, the sound is surprisingly great, and the feel is solid given that it is so thin. As it is quite large small hands will not appreciate handling this phone. I purchased 5 Moto Mods for this phone (big sale) and really do enjoy all of them and the phone handles them without an issue - very impressive.

Have not owned a Motorola product for quite some time and so far no problems with this phone. It is very thin, lightweight and it has a great camera. I don't use my phone for games or music so the battery lasts me a long time. Charges up quickly. Black Friday pricing made it very affordable.

Much faster processor to my previous phone. Battery life is an incredible 2 full days per charge.

I love the power in this phone - battery life is good too, even without a battery mod. The available mods are very cool - love the concept. The phone is light and nice to hold in the hand. I like that you can upgrade the memory. The camera is the best I've seen in a phone.
