Picked up this phone after Samsung phone split open due to swelling battery. Was a total Samsung disciple until i called Samsung to ask what they would do to correct the issue which is their problem not mine. Samsung completely dropped the ball so i looked elsewhere found this MOTO phone for couple hundred dollars less than the current Samsung galaxy. Phone is beautiful, works great, phone, camera and battery life equal if not exceed the more expensive Samsung and Apple options. With MOTO mods including incipio battery add on i now have phone capable of 2.5 days of charge while under full use. Incredible. two thumbs up on MOTO phone

This phone is simply outstanding! I got the unlocked version for a bargain $350. Don't be fooled by the very few negative comments ... I'm an avid cell phone fan and reviewer. I've had every notable flagship phone that's hit U.S. shores in 2017 (iPhone X, Note 8, S8, OP5, U11, Pixel 2XL, Essential) and I can tell you that this little gem has everything you're looking for! Pros: Excellent, fast octa-core processor, no lag at all even when playing top games. Coupled with 4gb RAM and stock android, this phone is as buttery smooth as any phone I've had this year!! The OnePlus 5 might be king, but... The Super AMOLED 5.5" display might only be 1920x1080 FHD, but you wouldn't know it. It is so pretty and looks amazing, you really have to see it to appreciate it. No it's not bezel-less, no phone really is BTW. It doesn't have an 18:9 aspect ratio, but that means nothing to me ... everyone is different. I'm a pretty heavy user, at times, and I have no trouble getting to the end of the day with plenty of juice left in the tank! It comes with Turbo charging, and it's actually quite fast - not as fast as the Dash Charge from OnePlus, but nothing is - It's fast! It's thin and lightweight, I got the maroon moto style shell for the back, which looks stunning! The Camera ... the biggest feature on a phone today. I don't do selfies, so no comment there. To put it honestly, it's a great camera. If you're looking for a class-leading camera, go spend some extra money on a Pixel 2 or an HTC U11, those are the cheapest best cameras out there. This z2 Play will go toe-to-toe with the OP5. My wife has a Pixel 2, and it's simply the best camera ever put on a phone. It's also a more expensive phone, so if that's an issue, trust me this camera will do the job. In daylight, it is sometimes as good as the pixel, and sometimes marginally worse. In lower light conditions, this camera does an admirable job. It won't beat one of the class leaders with OIS, but you'll be quite happy if you're not a Full Time photographer....it really has impressed me. Micro-SD card, expandable to 256gb - enough said, gotta love it! Fingerprint sensor on the front, where I personally prefer it to be - it's lightning fast and it's re-designed oval shape is so much better than the previous gen z-play. The moto mods are sweet, but other than the JBL speaker, they're not really my cup of tea... Cons: Software updates - Moto has a history with this, though I am on the November security patch, which is pretty good for Moto. It's running 7.1.1 - Oreo coming new year. Only bad I can think of. Bottom line, if you're on a budget or just don't want to spend $750-$1K, this phone should be top of your list. Great processor, display, battery, camera, SD Card storage, etc. It took me a long time to learn that to have a great phone experience, you need the basics + a great price - this phone proves you don't need to spend all your cash on a class leading phone when you can pay such a smaller price for Dang-Near-As-good as phone! Good luck!

I have always had Samsung and my wife has always had an iPhone. I was looking for a change, and my brother got a Motorola and has the battery and speaker mod. The mods really drew my attention. I love the battery mod, and plan on getting the speaker mod as well. The device is quick, can have multiple windows open and runs quick enough, the Moto has a couple hand gestures that are cool (karate chop twice to activate flashlight on/off) and I like how lightweight the phone feels. Camera is fine, sometimes nighttime pictures are less than desired quality, but for my use, it's just fine. Overall, very happy.

Really have enjoyed this phone since I purchased it 6 months ago, battery life is great, especially with the Moto mod power pack. One button gestures are nice, fingerprint scanner works really well, except for greasy fingers. Camera is awesome, front and rear flash is great, especially enjoy the motion controls to activate the flash light or camera. It's pretty powerful, but would have preferred to get the z2 force, for more memory and processing power. Still a great phone.

I purchased a Motorola - Moto Z2 Play for my wife, since her Motorola Droid Mini was due for an upgrade. The phone is excellent, works great, takes awesome photos, etc. Our Best Buy Sales Associate was very knowledgeable and helpful.

1 - Price Point for me was essential. $400 +- with Verizon was palatable. 2 - Both Samsung and I Phones far exceed my needs, 3 - Have found performance for me as ideal. 4 - So, all-in-all, a good phone at a decent price.

Great phone for all I do. I like the camera feature better than other phones. Only complaint is that the speaker switch doesn't activate immediately. Same with calls that come in. They don't ring out loud immediately, but do after like the 1st or 2nd ring. Wierd. But really, for the price this is a great phone and my only complaint is not that bad. Just a weird thing. So for this price you can't go wrong.

My son loves this phone! He has found it intuitive and it is his first phone. The mods to attach are cool but very expensive for the fun ones which cost around $250.

I went to this phone from a Samsung note 4. I had previously owned a Motorola and was happy with it then, and happy with it now. I especially loved the price and this phone works as good as my Samsung.

I wasn't looking for a new phone but I kept experiencing more issues with my old one. I didn't a fancy gadget just a good phone to make calls, send texts & install some apps to make life easier. This phone ticed all those boxes. I have a phone that has plenty of storage, strong battery life & feels good in my hand. All the apps that I use are now the most current versions Quite pleased

I have been spending $800 or so on Samsung for as long as I can remember. Tired of it, I bought this phone for a total of $100 during President's Day sales. I will tell you, I am so happy I did. I can't say how great the camera is or anything like that - for me it is fine. Battery is great so far, screen large. If you can get a deal like I did, don't think twice!

We absolutely love Motorola phones. Camera is great, Battery life is good. We have tried Samsung and iPhones and Motorola is the only phone that has service where we live. We purchased this phone through Best Buy instead of Verizon because of the major price difference!!!

I picked this up when it was on sale for $100, if any one see's this line of phones for $100 do not pass this up, trust me. Awesome battery life, screen is above average and the camera as well. latest android version and motorola tends to keep their phones pretty stock to how android would want to have them ran.

I have always had Motorola Android smartphones due to the long battery life, decent camera, and elegant interface. The Moto Z2 Play takes some great photos, and you have the option of purchasing Mods for 5G and other cool features. My only complaint is the 16GB is not adequate for all the Apps I want now.
