    I got what I paid for

    I was long overdue for an upgrade, coming off of a Samsung S4 that had served me well for years up until the end. I paid $1 for my S4 back in the day, but they go for much more now so I went with the Moto Z2 Play for much less. I really don't care about the mods (speaker, projector, etc.) it's known for, so that wasn't a draw for me. This phone is just so unresponsive. Simple things like swiping or scrolling will cause it to lock up (it just froze for 5-10 seconds while I typed that sentence). The store clerk told me that was due to my case with a screen protector, so I spent another $30 for one without one, but it didn't make a difference. Making a chopping motion with the phone in your hand should turn on the light, but it won't work so I'll do it again and again. It will finally catch up and turn the light on and off 2 or 3 times. These are just a few examples of why I'm already counting down the months until I'm eligible for an upgrade.

    Slow phone

    This Motorola phone is unlike the other motorola phones. I am coming off the Motorola Z Droid 2016 edition and there was no lag in switching between applications. In this phone you have to wait a minimum of 3 to 5 seconds before the dialer app can be opened. Even on text messging the messaging app freezes 3 -5 seconds before it shows the keyboard or the keyboard becomes responsive. I have a Samsung galaxy S6 which is so much faster than this phone. This is really disappointing in a 500$ phone. Hence I would strongly recommend to stay away from this phone and possibly other Motorola phones if they have the same big problem.

It is a good practice to power cycle the device periodically to clear out buffers and memory that may lead to intermittent issues.     BUYER BEWARE!!!

    This is more of a customer service issue than with the phone. I love this phone and the idea of the Mods, but if you are thinking that you will be receiving a JBL speaker mod in the mail for purchasing this phone at BESTBUY, think again. I have tried numerous time to redeem the free speaker thru the Motorola website as instructed. It informs me that there is no current promotion available for my IMEI number. Contacted Motorola (speaking to 3 different people) and they all inform me that BestBuy is not an authorized retailer and therefore the promotion is not valid on a phone purchased from them. Will be returning phone.

    I bought this phone, within 3 months it cracked. all i did was walked from outside winter to indoors and the cold weather somehow cause the screen to crack. it was not dropped nor mistreated. best buy wanted me to pay full price to replace. bb is horrible agt certain things. especially the one in Fayetteville Because it is a military area and they are the only ones who deal with electronics.

    Bad battery life

    This order was for my wife but I bought 1 for me in November 2016 which is now worthless because the battery only lasts about 3 hours with no use and WiFi - location and BT all turned off. If I make a call or a text the battery won't last 2 hours. My wife is already seeing her battery life degrade after only 5 months. Also the camera takes good pictures but has no settings like image size or date/time. This phone is definitely not a premium phone.

    Died in first month

    My son has only had the phone for one month and it is completely dead. It wont turn on or do anything. Very disappointed.

    Junk phone.

    Had phone 5 days. Bluetooth did not work. Very poor battery life. Would not last 24 hours before needing recharge.
