The phone's ease of use and large screen size are also frequently cited as positive aspects. While some mention the price, overall feedback is quite positive.

Nice Improvement Over The Moto Z

My Moto Z was a great phone for the first 1.5 years, but eventually the battery lost capacity to the point that I had to charge it at work to get all the way through the day. This after being able to go two days on a charge when it was new. After a month of use, the Z3 is still giving me two days of service between charges, hopefully this continues. Big screen, same slim profile and light weight as the Z, a bit faster and Android 9 is great. The camera is a bit better, the side mounted fingerprint reader took a little getting used to but now I like it fine. It does make it harder to use while holding it with my right hand. I do miss getting the time by waving my hand over the screen. All in all, a nice upgrade, made necessary when the Z got smashed by a car door. And a good value at under $400, with all the $900-1100 phones out there now.

I upgraded from the original Moto Z Force. The screen is a significant upgrade from the original and the battery lasts just as long. The only thing that took me a couple of days to get used to is the side mounted fingerprint scanner. If you invested in Moto mods, they all work with this phone. The best part is the price of this phone. When I purchased the original Moto Z Force, it was priced to compete with other flagship devices. Although the Moto Z3 is not a flagship priced phone, it is just as good, if not better than my original Moto Z Force.

Screen is very nice, performance is good. Battery life is TBD, but with such a large spec'd battery it should be great. I'm looking forward to putting it through its paces compared to Samsung

I bought this phone to replace a Moto Z play that really enjoyed. After owning this phone for approximately 3 hours the back glass cracked while simply holding it. I took it back to BB trying to exchange it but they wouldn't, I was told I should have bought the insurance. In my opinion it's too thin, I love the looks of it but it's too thin. The fingerprint reader is in a terrible place. The performance is fantastic! It's fast and very responsive. This probably is my last Moto phone though.

Purchased this phone for my wife and she loves it and I'm impressed by it. You will want to purchase some kind of case without it the phone is very slick being the back & front are both glass. Great looking screen holds up well against my Note 9. The Moto mods are a great addition and can be obtained at very good prices if you surf the net. Impressive phone for less than half the other flagship phones on the market. Verizon exclusive phone.

Love the touch, speed and clarity. Great reception range. Miss not having Photo Gallery, but if you're used to Photo's, not big deal. Going to take time to get used to finding the power button on the other side. Came with a speaker plug adapter, so once again, not a big deal. Great update from my Turbo 2.

I traded in a Galaxy Note 4 for this phone because the price was right for my budget and I thought that the screen size was comparable. The keyboard is rather small for my fat fingers (smaller than the Galaxy Note) so I have a bit of a problem typing on it. Camera is great as is the battery saver function.

I was planning on buying a Samsung 8+ but after describing my typical phone usage the Best Buy staff recommended the z3. I have had the phone for about 2 weeks and I still like it. Fast, responsive, better reception. The s9's and Pixel 3's are bigger and faster but they are over twice the price also. Good compromise for performance and price.

Bought the Z3 to replace my 3 year old Moto-Z. Much improved in both the data rates and call performance. The bonus is the compatibility of the Moto Mods that I have from the original. The Hasselblad camera back is better than any other phone camera. It has become my go-to travel camera rivaling my DSLR for most situations at a 10th the weight and it fits in my pocket. The 10X optical zoom and ability to shoot RAW images make it a real photographers delight. The new CPU processes large RAW files much faster than the older version.
Love the phone and the help I got at the store. I will never go back to the Verizon store for our phones. The sales person answered my questions, sold me the phone and never pressured me to sign up for the myriad programs the sales people at Verizon insist you listen to. Great Service.

Vs z3 force and z4

Seems fine vs the z3 force I owned for many years, I do wish they made all these "force" though so mods could be bought easier. With the fear of breaking the phone and having a case on it makes buying mods less likely since I'm not going to take the case of every time.
Bought this less than a month ago and z4 doesn't seem much better... I'll just stick with this for 120 vs 240 sale on z4 now

The Z3 is well worth what it costs, but I was expecting somewhat more in specs and I hate that they got rid of shatterproof screen from the Z2 force. Nice looking, good size display. Keyboard was affected by the case I initially bought for it for some reason. Typing words incorrectly.

Purchased in November and hasn't let me down. Retired my turbo finally, and haven't been disappointed. Use it every day ,all day with no troubles. Very responsive and battery has been great. Got a speaker for 1/2 off on Verizon site and pleased with it. Will next get a battery mod and the portfolio mod. I like the mod options with the Moto z line

Great Software Let Down By Poor Support

The hardware is pretty good, the battery lasts longer than my s8 did, the camera was acceptable but not excellent... Overall I was very impressed at the value considering it's half the price of an s9. However, there is very poor support, little to no accessories available besides Moto mods, which don't fit on with cases. It seems like an afterthought. I returned it and paid extra for s9 and I miss the Moto Display and the ease of the software, but the S9 is just less of a liability.
