Real Review / Real Quick: + Battery life + Screen Size + Price - No home button, so hand gestures can get annoying - Microphone causes my voice to be higher pitched and tinny when speaking +/- its a phone, not much to say

For the price point, this is a really good phone. Plenty of storage, decent camera, and clear picture quality. I can even add more storage via SD card up to 1 TB. (not that I'd ever need that much storage on a phone). Volume is good, easily connects via Bluetooth, and it's a stylish phone. Battery life is great also.

Been a Moto user for a many years. Great value phone with a big battery. More RAM (6GB v 4GB) and twice the storage (128GB v 64GB) as the same model phone sold elsewhere by a major carrier. Fortunately for you, the price was recently reduced by $25. Who needs a $1,200 phone when you can buy this one for $300! At this price, who needs insurance?

I really loved this phone the crisp clean vivid screen, the speed, graphics for gaming and the camera. The problem is that Verizon prepaid could not get it to fully work on their network. Everything worked for me but I couldn't receive texts. I called Verizon tech support and by the time they were done nothing worked. So their answer was the phone was not compatible on their network. I knew it was bull shyt they just didn't know what they were doing if I'd have thought about it I'd have gone over to Spectrum Mobile. All in all this phone rocked for the low price.

Its been 2 months using this Moto one 5g ace and it's been a pleasure to own. The speed, display and apps work as well as you can ever want. The back fingerprint reader is in a good spot and is very quick to respond. While this is a heavy device the big battery gives you plenty of screen time between charging. I get 12 hours on average with 35% left in the tank. I do video creation for YouTube so I'm a bit of a heavy user. To be fair, I do basic gaming so can't get into that. Would like charging to be faster than 15w. Android 10 works for me and near pure android is a super plus. The Moto gestures are icing on the cake. Photos are very good in bright conditions and good in lower light with the low light camera feature on. Videos are also good in bright conditions but struggle in dimmer light. This is not unusual for smartphones at any price point. 4k comes out well and video stabilizer does a nice job. The 10x zoom is best used at 3x as the focus gets dicey beyond it. Call volume has a separate slider and is plenty loud. Media volume is average but acceptable. No dual speakers. I'm very happy with this purchase and for under $400 you can't miss. Did I mention this is a 5G device?

Great cellphone, takes nice pictures and video, speed is not bad, quality of the sound when playing videos or just listening to music is great. Easy to use, the finger print unlock made sense compared to older model that unlocks in your pocket. Price is the best!!! Does not break the bank for a nice unlocked cellphone!!!

Phone is a major upgrade from my older S7. Great battery life, camera, and very responsive with plenty of storage. Only gripe is the phone is a little bigger and heavier than I wanted, but it checks all the other boxes. Really can't beat it for the price.

I use the phone for both business and personal. This is the best Motorola I've owned performance wise and easy of use-wise from my last 6 motorola phones (Not counting my flip phone from the 1990's). I keep going back to motorola because of the unique features they have that seem invaluable after you use them. I've been hands-free asking my phone questions way before Siri came out and other cool features like chopping to turn on the flashlight (many others). This phone is fast and smooth and tons of storage. Battery is incredible. They're not fibbing about two days battery. Minor downside is that it is a little heavy/big and no motion detector like in my last Moto Z3 (I liked that feature). You have to be self sufficient with the phone because Motorola's service is god awful. It sucked 8 years ago and I tried using it recently...just pathetic, untrained and unempowered. The folks want to help, so this falls on Motorola's executive management for poor execution.

Honestly for the phone being 200 bucks, it was very good. The battery is the best, lasts into the next day. Camera is decent, it runs fine, and it's a good budget option. Also it's unbreakable.

Unclear when this device lost software updates, but it's still running strong now two years later in 2024. A few bugs and some apps, aren't well functioning. Unclear if that's due to the app itself or the operating system being dated to Android 11, when I think Android 13/14 is the current availability? It's never been my daily driver, but as a backup. It's still been reliable and still running after this time.

I bought this phone because my 7 year old LG phone had lost the capability to receive updates and read the MicroSD card. Yes my LG was outdated, but when I find something I like, I stay with it. I looked at the different manufacturers and chose the Motorola One because it had the features I was looking for at a price I was happy with. The difference between this and my old phone are massive. LOL The screen is brighter and more crisp and far faster. The shining star of this phone for me is the battery! What exceptional battery life. Now understand, I don't live on my phone and only use it as a phone to make and receive calls, to text, take pictures and as a music player. As a test, I charged it on a Saturday night and used it for a week without charging it. When I did charge it, the battery was still at 21%. I'm very pleased with my purchased. You don't need to spend $1000.00 to get a good phone.

Owned and have been using this phone for 6 days now. I came from using an iphone 12 Pro Max. That was my first iPhone, and my last. Found myself downloading all the android/Google apps on it and thought to myself what's the point. So I sold it and bought this. I knew I was going from a high end to lower end midrange phone and I was fine with that. Honestly, I enjoy this phone more than I did that iphone. The more narrow build of the motorola is a whole lot more comfortable in the hands than the bulky iphone. The display I enjoy a lot more as well, it seems cleaner or more crisp if you will. The cameras however is nothing to brag about, but I hardly take pictures or video anyway. Although the motorola has the option for macro shots which the $1100 iPhone does not and they were released the same year, may not be the best but it works and is a neat feature. Camera software is slow and stuttery. The battery life is about the same on both phones, I can go all day no problem. From 4am-10pm I'm at about 35% life left, a lot of YouTube use but no social media. Build is obviously plastic on the motorola, and it shows. If you have a case on it you don't even know, and plastic doesn't crack either so another plus. Motorola uses Google messages, which is better in my opinion. Call quality isn't so great, people tell me sometimes I'm breaking up or muffled so that's the main downside. Any modern phone should have zero call quality issues, it's the main purpose of a cell phone right? That's why it's 3 stars. However I'm happy about the phone and just hope they keep the updates coming for a little while longer. It definitely will not be updated often like iphones, but what changes anyway in an iphone update? I for sure would not pay more than $300 for this phone that is for sure.

As noted elsewhere, the Motorola One 5G Ace is essentially the same device as the Moto G7. Its biggest lure: if one is upgrading to 5G and needs to quickly acquire a compatible device but prefers buying outright rather than having something high-zoot like the iPhone 13 paid out over time as part of a service provider's contract, the Motorola One 5G Ace's very affordable price can easily make that possible. The camera is the biggest improvement over the G7, although nighttime and low-light pictures suffered slightly. As mentioned in the title, this device feels bigger and heavier than the G7, but is not immensely so. One nice improvement is that the annoying slippery back of the case has lost some of its gloss...but is still slippery and will scoot away from the user when laid on certain surfaces. But the danger of slipping out of the user's hand is drastically diminished. The biometric readers are way too quick to engage, making attempts to read fingers and faces when none were nearby and when the user does not intend to unlock the device. This results in maximum attempts being reached so that one must unlock using a PIN or a swipe pattern when biometrics may have been desired. The battery life holds up to the manufacturer's claim, and there has been very little anxiety about running out of battery before the device can be charged. No comments on the Android 10.0 OS that this unit ships with; what's good is good, and what's not so good is not all that great. Four stars for the inexpensive but capable enough Motorola One 5G Ace. BBY assesses a "Good" rating to four stars, but this model would be Very Good overall.

Incredible battery life. I like the cameras and some of the extra features they offer, screen is bright and easy to read; this is an easy phone to live with. It's a big phone though, and with that incredible 5000 mah battery, it's a bit heavy. Make sure you are comfortable with it first, a phone this size isn't for everyone. But I am very happy with it and if you are ok with the size, think you will be too if you're looking for an unlocked phone is this price range. Phone works with Verizon, at least 4G which is what my sim card supports. Just inserting my sim, I was able to make calls and use data. However I did run into an issue with text messages which someone else commented about. I solved that by going into my Verizon account and swapping my device there, then uninstalling and reinstalling the messaging app. No issues since. It's unclear if Verizon 5G is supported yet or if it's coming, but am looking forward to upgrading my sim when I get a chance.

The phone I had was starting to go. As result, I took the time to research options for a new phone. Going through recommendations and reviews, the Motorola One 5G Ace kept getting favorable mentions. The only thing that I gave up in getting this phone was wireless charging. What I gained was a very fluid-like reactive phone. It is without a doubt the quickest reacting phone I have had. And, yes, I have had flagship phones in the past, and this beats them all. The camera is also quite impressive and takes very clear pictures. While, I do not consider myself to be a high-end user, i.e. no games or streaming, this phone is everything that I need and more. Being a mid-range phone, also makes it budget-friendly. I am averaging 1.5-2 days of battery on a single charge.

I compared different phones and the Motorola phones stack up well against Samsung and Apple without the huge costs. I've gotten a Motorola phone before and really liked it. That factored in when getting a replacement. This phone is even nicer than the last one I had from Motorola. It's 5G with a big screen and numerous features. Battery life is excellent. Numerous camera options at your disposal. Durable, reliable and easy to use. It has proven to be worth the money so far.
