You get what you pay for

This phone does what it needs to do. Make sure you buy a new 5G SIM card. It will not work properly with an old 4G if you're upgrading. You will not receive texting back. It does have a great 5000 mAh battery and I can go two days before charging. I was disappointed in the camera, and have regrets choosing this phone over the Samsung S20. I chose Motorola for the price. Didn't want to spend too much for a basic phone. I do not use social media as much. The pictures are not as crisp as the Samsung. It also does not take indoor photos at all, even with night vision. Still trying to figure all the lenses out. Another issue I don't like is Google photos. I used to be able to take pictures and move them from my camera to a folder, and all my pictures were in folders. This phone keeps your photos in two places, so once I move it to a folder, it still keeps a copy on your google photos page, and if you delete it from one place, it deletes it from both. This also probably uses more space. Make sure you buy a protective case right away. A major con is that it has a very sensitive screen and will shatter when dropped. I found out the hard way. I was one day away from getting my case and dropped it, and just a heads up, not all repair places will work on Motorola phones, or have that screen in stock. Get coverage. I chose not to because the value of the phone is low and in so many years, have never used it. It was an $85 fix vs. $100 deductible. It's a personal choice. Another con is that it will not charge wirelessly. You basically get what you pay for, so do your research before buying.

Good product. Good value in term of specification. Screen is decent size. Battery can definitely last for the whole day.

My wife's G6 finally died after 3 years of heavy use. We wanted a 5g phone and it was between this one and the Pixel 4. The Pixel wasn't in stock, but we saved a little money with this one and my wife is happy. win-win

Got the phone approximately a month ago. So far I haven't had any issues. It works for everything that I need and I believe it was at a reasonable price. No issues so far with the 5G network (I have T-Mobile) but I've only been around Colorado Springs and have not gone to the mountains yet. It has a good camera (at least for me that I take occasional pictures), and the screen has a good resolution. I watch some Netflix on my phone and it looks great.

I bought this phone to replace an aging LGV30. Being willing to not buy another flagship phone, I looked around. Some family members were carrying Motorola G Power phones and the battery life in those phones is phenomenal. This 5G Ace has the same battery and it has 5G. For the price, it was hard to pass up. Some reviews knock the phone because it is too big or too bulky. With the battery it has and the screen that it has, I am not sure what these reviewers were expecting. Some people have to make a living critiquing phones, so they had to pick on something. The screen was dinged in one review, but I have found it just fine. At $400 I think you will be hard put to find such a great phone with 5G at a great price that can go the distance with you.

Had this phone for 2 weeks now. I use Trac Fone. Use it mainly for calling, social media and messages. Have charged it 3 times(from 30% to 95 takes 1 1/2 hrs) Set up was super easy, used sim card from previous phone, this phone asked if i wanted to transfer over all 26 apps and it took maybe 10-15 minutes to do so. Call quality is very clear Very difficult to find a case, Seeing I don't use the finger print id, i bought an otter box made for moto one, which fits very well(no cut out for finger print reader) Didn't come with a car charger. Over all, for me, a great deal

Excellent phone for the money! Really happy with Motorola. It has some nice features that I've never seen on a low price phone before. Battery life tops. Great cameras. Love this phone.

Only problem I've have in two years was that people.complain of an echo when I'm talking to them. If I have the phone on speaker there is no issue. I have had zero issues and love the Motorola brand!

Motorola 5G Ace (2021) Review A+++

Really solid phone with simple features and strong battery life. I could easily go two days on a full charge with moderate browsing throughout the day and text usage. Smooth interface with plenty of power with cycling through apps and web browsing. The only thing that I didn't really like was that the fingerprint scanner can only unlock the phone; it won't lock it when pressed again. Luckily I found an app on Google play that allows you to lock the phone immediately via an icon quickly on the home screen with a simple shortcut. Other then that I really enjoy this phone.

I like Moto devices. Have had many over the years from the Turbo, Droid Maxx and Maxx 2, and some from the Z series. This is my latest one, the One 5G ACE. The gestures are handy. They have always been reliable for me. Sound quality is fair. Screen quality is ok but colors are washed. The camera and color reproduction is something to be desired. I have gone thru the settings and cannot find a good setting. The colors are washed and not vibrant. The Night sight is blurry. The pics are ok at best in daylight and if you are not zoomed. There have been other reviewers saying the camera is better than Samsung or Google devices. This device or any other Moto device that I have used (mine or borrowed) will never compare to the likes of Samsung or Google cameras or color reproduction. This is a mid range device with midrange camera quality so don't expect a lot. Other than the disappointing camera and color repro., this device seems of decent quality for the price. It is heavy due to the huge battery which I will get 2 days with moderate usage. I do recommend this device if camera and screen quality is not important. Everything else works well and has been reliable.

I have purchased two new Motorola phones in the past 2 years and they have problems. Have had problems with both with the speaker and the microphone not working unless it's on speakerphone. Also the screens have broken on both and our irreparable. I definitely recommend spending a little bit of extra money to get something nicer, you'll end up spending the extra money on another phone anyway.

Exceptional battery life! I expected good, but what I got has been amazing battery life. The phone was very easy to set up. Upon first use, it pretty much walked me through all that was needed. Transferred all my google accounts, contacts, and apps for me. My third Motorola phone, and it reinforced why I'm sticking with this brand. Only downside, it is a new release, and the phone case variety is still limited to just a few choices. I'd imagine as more phones are sold, options will increase. Love the fingerprint reader.

It's a good phone, but you can't set a ringtone from your songs, it's hard to find a music app you can download your music to that works, Trusted Places on Google Maps doesn't work on this phone, and it doesn't have separate sound volume settings for ringtone and notifications; so when you have your ringtone volume loud so you can hear your phone ring, the notification sound that you have set for your notifications is really loud. Also, the ringtones that are preset to choose from on this phone are terrible and annoying. I wish I could set the song I used on my other smart phones. Also, it didn't copy over all over my apps from my other phone - e.g. one of my mail apps and my music app. The main reason I bought this phone is because it has a headphone jack and 128 gb of storage.

I needed an unlocked replacement phone with VoLTE for the new TM setup and chose this because it's a very good midrange pick. It has plenty of RAM and a fast enough processor unless you're a gamer. Supposedly it will get up to Android 12 soon but it's in no hurry. It has all the 4G and 5G capability I'm likely to need, here and overseas. So far I'm pleased with the way it performs, no issues noted
