The phone screen cracked within just 10 days of usage. I heard a small explosion/cracking sound when I closed the phone after texting, and lines appeared on the screen. Upon opening and closing the phone again, half of the screen turned black. I initially contacted Best Buy regarding the cracking sound and was advised to bring the phone in for a return since it was within the 15-day return window. However, they later determined that the screen was damaged and refused to accept the return, directing me to contact the manufacturer instead. Unfortunately, Motorola's standard warranty does not cover screen damage under any circumstances.
I had really loved this phone and handled it with utmost care while waiting for the phone case to arrive. I did not drop the phone or subject it to any impact that could have caused the damage. There are no other physical damages to the phone besides the screen, leaving me puzzled about how this occurred. This has been an incredibly disappointing experience, resulting in a significant financial loss for a phone I used for less than 10 days. Although I have purchased numerous products from Best Buy before, this incident has compelled me to write my first review. I feel extremely let down by both Motorola and Best Buy. Future buyers should be aware that purchasing this product comes with inherent risks.

30 days in, screen protector peeling, BBY won't take it back, and sent me to Moto. Moto has an absolutely bonkers process. And the pre installed screen protector peeling is a known and common issue according to Moto. Only get it if you are cool sending your phone off for a week, 3-5 times per year, and spending $79 for each fix after the first one. Or you can go to a specific repair shop - the one I was sent to was 1.5 hours away, and good thing I didn't take it there because I called in advance and they didn't even have the protector in stock (despite Moto telling me I could go right in and have it fixed same day there.)
This item clearly was not ready for market. Third party repairers won't touch it because Moto requires a proprietary tool to remove the stock protector. It will get screwed up, and Moto doesn't respect your right to repair. Phone was never dropped and was in a protective case from day 2.
Will never buy another Motorola after owning several in the past. Go look at other forums and see how often this issue comes up.

Not impressed- Z flip way better functionality

I had a Samsung Z3 flip and moved to Moto Razr for the better battery life. I love how flips fit in my short girl pants pockets. They both have issues with front screens activating while in my pocket. I have had the Razor for 6 months now and am ready to switch for 2 main reasons. #1 sensor that is supposed to register my face and shutoff the screen during calls if faulty. It doesn't sense my face and my cheek will press buttons like mute or hold and people hang up on me. Tried a different phone app, but now calls don't register on the front screen, so it's a mystery who is calling until I open the phone and answer. #2 Unsure why the "do not disturb" constantly turns itself on and I wonder why no one has called or texted me. No people are trying to reach me, but my phone isn't ringing or vibrating. I had to go into settings and change the do not disturb feature to allow calls and texts through. Yet the phone doesn't ring or vibrate randomly still. #3 Hey Google doesn't work well, voice activation seldom works. But this isn't a deal breaker for me like the first two.

I’ve been an active iPhone user and started using my Razr as a secondary phone and it’s been great! I would say only negative and it has nothing to do with the phone it self is trying to find cases/outer screen protectors besides off Amazon. But for my first flip phone I’m loving it!
