If the width of the product described online equaled the actual width with the mouse platform, I would have been able to use it. It was just a little too wide for the opening of my MCM desk. For what it cost and the fact that it is plastic, it wasn't worth it to remove the mouse platform and use just the keyboard drawer. The whole point for me was to have better ergonomics for both the keyboard and the mouse. I returned without removing the shrink wrap, It would probably work for other users.
